In a 9x13,
1 package of steamed broccoli
2 cups of cooked shredded chicken
In a bowl,
4 cans of cream of celery
2 cups of mayo
1 tbsp of curry powder
Mix
Put mixture on top of chicken & broccoli
Sprinkle a layer of bread crumbs
Layer of parm cheese
Add some butter squares on top
Sprinkle chives on top
350 for 45 minutes
That looks gorgeous and sounds yummy. P.S.: I’ve always felt that cream of celery soup was unjustly underrated.

The first time I had chicken divan was about 1980. It had cream of chicken soup instead of cream of celery, no bread crumbs and no cheese. It did have the lemon juice and curry powder. It was wonderful and everyone thought that the cream of chicken soup was a cheese sauce. It was very yummy and I am grateful that you reminded me of it. I need to make it again.

I've been watching for a while now and I save more recipes than I pass up. But my all time favorites are when Kevin says "Hey" to all your followers. This one with the star glasses is a hoot! So this reminds me of a recipe that was popular in the 1950's through till the 70's. Mom made this when I was a kid.... Yummy!

I make chicken divan all the time. You don't need to pre cook your veg. I do broccoli and cauliflower, some chopped onion and sliced water chestnuts...I add a few more spices in because we like a bit of heat. This recipe you were given seems really bland....

Looks like good comfort food and easy to make a smaller/8x8 pan of it. I’ll bet the lemon juice would add to it, and maybe less soup? So fast to make. Yum!

I make a casserole that’s similar. I put broccoli on the bottom, then I add shredded chicken, thinly sliced celery and small diced green bell peppers. I mix 1 can cream of mushroom and 1 can cream of chicken and about 1/2 soup can of milk pour over top then add grated cheddar jack cheese. It so good!!!

This is a "go to" recipe I have been making since the 70's. I have been using cheddar cheese for ages....may be tempted to try it with Parmesan.

Yum Kristen! Our family's version uses 1 can of cream of chicken, 1/2 cup mayo, 1/2 cup sour cream and 1tbl lemon juice. We also use cheddar cheese instead of parmesan, but both dishes, I'm sure are equally delicious!! 😊

Ooooh. So much canned soup = sodium overload! I think you could make some gravy with chicken broth or stock. Thicken it to your desired consistency. Control the sodium. Must say it looks drlicious!

Try cream of chicken & or cream of mushroom. They make cream of asparagus too! They have others, I just don't remember all of them 😊

I'd probably use cream of chicken and cream of mushroom together! I think any kind of cream soup you like would work.
Edit; I would leave out the mayo too and experiment with different soups

When I make divan I use cream cheese and sour cream...better than the mayo.
