Morris big ups as always food looks delicious
Ha! Just had this for lunch...Used canned spicy black beans from Whole Foods and organic sugar and added a dash of cinnamon. It was delicious. Will try brown sugar next time.
Nicely done. I use the inch method to judge the amount of water. This is well done. Love it Shelly and nice
I love your cooking ❤❤❤
Chef Adrian rice looks good
I’ve never seen anyone put sugar in rice and peas even from olden days . I guess some people like the sweet taste. It still looks good though.
I agree. I will never add sugar to my rice or any meat dishes. We all cook differently, but my preference is no sugar.
Our ancestors never did this. It's all new age stuff. Then we wonder why Diabetes is so common in our community.
Rice looks sumptuous😋😋👍👍🍚🍚🥥🥥Chef
You don't need black pepper or sugar in rice and peas
Yes please
Yes rice look nice, ❤❤
Looks nice and Shelly mr chef.
Ever use short grain whole brown rice? It's thick. I've messed with it for awhile. It's OK but always looking for ways to get it even better. Lemme kno. Tata....💋💞👍💃🇺🇲😊

Big up Chef , ya never disappoint wit ya recipes. Real real island cookin'.
Hi there, a fellow Jamaican here and I just came across your channel and I have a question, why did you cover the rice with Foil paper? I am asking cuz, I need to refine my Rice cooking (usually a hit or miss with the outcome). So just touching base with an expert. thanks in advance.
Always love your videos… Your recipes never fail me yet!!❤
Wha gwaan.Yummy yummy I'm watching from 🇸🇷🇸🇷Suriname
Man your method the best, the other methods don't care about the starch.
Bwoii can cook mi nah lie 😊

Adrian I never know that you can put sugar in your rice and peas 🫛
Beautiful.

When me no hungry me come back and watch this. Cho!!
Nice 😊 ❤
Looks delicious ❤
Have you thought of cooking the rice and peas in a single pot to eliminate using two containers. I hate a messy kitchen, using one pot eliminate washing pots. Also, a strainer is perfect for washing rice. Thats my process😂. I love your videos. You are an amazing cook.
You can use one pot the pressure could use like a pot with a different cover
Hi Morris. Do the peas have to be 100 percent cooked before you add the coconut milk and seasonings or do you cook them partially and finish them off with the milk etc? I’m hoping you answer my question 🤞
Gwaan my friend you do your thing the way you like it different stroke for different folk . Rice and peas looks good .just plate me up some😊😊👍
Looks great! My family has always used gungo peas, unless we didn't have them. Do you always use kidney beans?
Looks good but I'm surprised the beans 🫘 aren't over cooked, and did I see you taste the food and PUT THE SPOON BACK IN THE POT? Without washing it
You made me look real good he put it in his hand to taste
That’s not true, he tasted from his hand not the spoon
@Elainebrown50 ok thank you that's why I said did he,
@sheritaaustin5176 ok thank you that's why I said did he
Beans are soft and peas is tough so that’s the difference, peas won’t easily overcook like that……. and no he used the spoon to put the food in his opposite hand to taste test
