I miss QT'ing over JT, cutting power so you get pulled out of QT as close to jumptown as you could. Turn off shields, QT drive, turrets.... anything that could raise your signature and flying low until you found your target. Boost in, get your lock, let it go at 3k while boosting up to 1k m/s to get out of dodge. I remember one guy in chat asking me what I was flying and how I one shot him because he had zero clue I was there. Just heard the lock and exploded. ^_^. That was 3.18. Good times.
I was waiting for this video 😂, discussed a lot about this on reddit, especially about "skill" did you made it for me or what? Jokes a part, you just somehow showed that you can still do flyby with the eclipse.. got to try it again, thank you! I was struggling a lot for this ship, still want to see how it works against bigger targets! Recently i put my effort in learning the sub targeting mechanics, and MM feel a bit better now, but i still would like to see ships speed increased
They shot it down before it hit the ship. They now prioritize those missles. Get within 1800 to 1500 and launch next time. Coast in with engine and shields off so they don't detect you lock in last moment.
@@WarlockSRB I had similar instances. talking from experince in the new update. try shooting the size 9 from 9k away. I bet they shoot it down before it gets to them. If the case was as such ; you probably desynced.
interresting, i didnt test the CrossSection only against AI (careful about gravity and trajectory). I prefer the old habit generally (wapeon unequip / shield / QTdrive / thrusterRetro etc.. offf) Fly safe bois !

You haven't been able to consistently fire from 9km away for a while, around 3.18 they changed the velocity of them and made the AI focus fire the missiles then you had desync to deal with. Its been
@@teamdarkus2984 only way is to get as close as possible to target, as one would say, agro target so it doesn't shoot torps... Until this is updated, or reworked, not sure there will be different solution...
@@WarlockSRB used to be you could fire the seekers from 4.5-5km away and as long as an asteroid didnt get in the way it would take down a HH. XD that was years ago, eclipse is meant to be that way, homies probably has some eclipse related PTSD :D
@@skepticalpianist3266 yeah, but seems ships with turrets can easily kill torpedos, sometimes... Prob server dependend... BTW, didn't even know it's a 300$ ship 😂
sadly, torpedos hit 30% of time, 70% is AI ships shot them down or they just loose tracking even under 3km. I want love this ship but it's just boring to deal with crappy missile mechanics.

Nope, it missed then made a turn and hit it... All AI ships were aggroed by my ship :)

This was stock... Torps have problem hitting targets with turrets, mostly those get shoot down...
