i find it odd how nobody mentioned Soul Burner, who's deck was so good the writers themselves stated they had to pull absolute nonsense to even give him a challenge.
That statement when taken into the context of his opponents running things like Hydradrive, Dinowrestler, Despair from the Dark Turbo and Appliancer is a lot less impressive. In fact basically the only competent deck he had an on-screen duel against was Rokket, and in both times he dueled Rokket, Revolver was sandbagging and trying to lose.
6:45 Legit, Rebecca was playing better early 2000s Yugioh than any duelist in Duelist Kingdom. She was running a resource loop with Sangan/Witch, had a defensive lock which forced you to either summon a 2 tribute monster or spend removal to get rid of Millennium Shield, she had Cannon Soldier to burn for game, and Shadow Ghoul as a backup beatstick if her strategy got hit. And then in the KC Grand Prix filler arc, she shows back up with Scapegoat, Imperial Order, and Gravity Bind. Girl is goated.
Rebecca was a menace in the KC Grand Championship. I would’ve loved to see her rematch Yugi with the deck she used that season and I think some of the strategies she implemented for that season would’ve given the King of Games some problems. Heck, I think she’d have given Kaiba problems with her deck.
Unironically Rebecca is one of the most intelligent characters in the DM era. Here only follies was being a side character and a women in a yugioh anime
@@rhysjonsmusic tbf, she technically has a 3 to 1 win-lose ratio, so that's better than i think every other woman in the anime does (and honestly some men)
She was American national champion at the age of twelve or something. Former champion was Bandit Keith. She beat a guy in his, like, 30s, who reached semis in the Duellist Kingdom and was also cheating.
Reiji Akaba's deck was so insane that he found an infinite loop against a guy who could infinitely revive and he wins just because his opponent doesn't want to go through the infinite revival anymore.
To be fair the reason why that loop happened in the first place was because even though the cards involved where OPT each time the guy came back to the Game It counted as a new turn
6:45 Rebecca is such a funny character because she randomly comes back 3 seasons later with, no joke, a *burn* deck, with cards like Gravity Bind and IO to stall. And all things considered, a shockingly competent one compared to all the other shit decks
since that season and the one before, Orichalcos, was filler, they took advantage to make adds for the game per se. For example precisely in the Rebecca duel Yugi explains the concept of chain link.
i love how vrains included meta relevant cards, the fact that revolver is worried about judgement arrows so he fucking plays IMPERIAL ORDER to lock down spell cards was incredible to me
@@MBTYuGiOhNot just Mind Crushing Judgment Arrows, but Mind Crushing it in response to it being searched. He was playing like a competitive player, and then Lightning had a card that added Arrows from the Graveyard back to his hand.
In defense of Specter: 1. He played the pure Sunavalon u-link...which looks pretty, but does absolutely nothing and blows itself up if you fart at the trees. 2. He went against the main villain with a custom archetype that basically read "just do whatever" and revolved around Seal of Orichalcos 2.0 (which just like said Seal also was glued to everyone's starting hand)
They also had searchers for Judgement Arrows. I think it also had a skill to grab it for speed duels, too. But for the most part, yeah, it was glued to everyone's hands, lmao
@@pickyphysicsstudent201Like, he roflstomped Aoi, only lost to Yusaku because he couldn't help but flex, and lost to Lightning because Armatos Legio is literally playing with a Deck of custom cards (Sunvine Plunder specifically has destruction protection for itself and the card it steals, so the Armatos Legio Lightning uses pops, negates, and then pops again)
I'm actually wondering if Revolver could still somehow pull a win against Ghost Gal if he Storm Accessed into Gumblar/Zeroboros instead of Trisbaena specifically.
I personally count the Lightning Duel as a draw in the final results, since the 1 LP was just for show o explai why he didn't die. That duel should be seen as a win since Revovler forced him too cheat twice, in one occasion preventing him from going to game. Edit (01/16): Ideally, I see and would count this as a Revolver Win (like Kaiba would be, non-cheating, result vs Noah). However I say Draw in regards on what the objectivily counts as consequences and events inside of the show, as well the duel ended. In another words, how it is put on the paper and registered, including the fact Lightning cheated. Revolver was a better/stronger duelist than Lightning overall. I don't count the end of this duel as a loss for revolver in any shape or form.
I count the lightning duel a win tbh. He had him on gun point but lightning said WAIT! IF YOU KILL ME JIN ALSO DIES. So they play a little bit more and end up drawing at which point lightning cheats to survive at 1lp
It's even worse than what you said, for Go Onizuka (and for VRAINS overall). For most of the VRAINS anime, Dragonlink was far from being a thing. Rokkets were nonexistent in the competitive scene cause they were struggling to do special summons. So Revolver and Playmaker were the strongest duelists in the series, and they were both playing the worse decks, in the middle of all the secondary characters being on Altergeist, Trickstar and Gouki. Which leads to Go VS Revolver being one of the absolute worst display of Gouki plays of the whole series. Go literally starts by link summoning Thunder Ogre and KEEPING IT ON THE FIELD so that Revolver is allowed to use the bonus normal summon for himself. Then the next turn Revolver has a card preventing Go from attacking if he doesn't have 4 links on his field, so Go overextends like crazy just to be able to attack, summon 4 links (including a Great Ogre that could have had something in defense under it, maybe?) and walks straight into Mirror Force. The funny part about him changing his deck to Dinowrestler after that? All the Dinowrestler boss monsters have a built-in Ancient Gear effect (no spell/traps activations when they attack). He was so traumatized by Mirror Force, he switched to an archetype where every boss monster is protected from that card.
Honestly, that last bit is so hilarious. The idea that a character gets PTSD from a battle trap so hard that they switch to Legally Distinct Ancient Gears is hysterical
Bro could've just like, invent new Gouki link with effect to give Ancient Gear protection in BP to all Gouki monsters, It still show sign of PTSD but also feels more like he's improving from past mistake instead of loser that ditched a decent deck for inferior ones bar a single card.
Honorable Mention: Barrett from Arc-V. Dude played a fusion archetype that was pure jank, but somehow got Yuya in a two card lock that made him unable to attack, use his extra deck, or play any card in his hand, then got steamrolled by a terminator using Earthbound of all things and disappeared from the series forever.
Bro that pissed me off because those effects didn't stop him from going into odd eyes rebellion. The cards used to lock yuya's monsters didn't stop them from being used as material
@@MDKShadyActually, they did because Yuya also got Rhongo'd with the traps. So Sergey just swiping in and annihilating him with Miracle Synchro Fusion unironically saved Yuya for a moment. If only it was YUZU WHO SAVED HIM
Potentially even funnier (or more depressing), Blue Angel loses with _game on board_ a minimum of twice, to a lucky Playmaker topdeck and Soulburner flexing Fusion of Fire.
@@elijahpadilla5083 I have to wonder how thing would've gone in the Playmaker duel if she had any other card in her hands besides Dark Angel (given by Hanoi with the Virus that affected her), since it is the only card left in her hand after she tries to win through her skill. In Soulburner case, if memory serves me, it was kinda of a gambit when he attacked: Her deck weakness was the low ATK of her cards, but she improved by adding cards like Colabane. During their turn, Soulburner and Flame expected her to play Colabane (that she addded back to her hand the prevous turn and they knew that) to compesate for weakness and therefore trigger his Violet Chimera effect. If she didn't she could've make a comeback next turn (his LP was only 100) or continue the duel. She actually didn't need to use Calobane to survive, but, likely due to this psychoological factor, she was more inclined to activate it to conserve her life points or thinking that she didn't use, she would lose (Chimera effect was unknown to her). As the series went on, almost everyone she was dueling against started to put cards to stop/counter her burn tactics (like Soulburner's Gate of Fire trap). That is why she played her decks with a mix of offensive and burn. But several times she had game even when countered, yet (due to writers and plot) her loses were due to pulling some of nowhere which would never be used again due to being highly specific (Bohman Interference Canceller plus Hydradriver Mutation combo, and using Tesseract Monarch; all only in this duel). Only in S1 her dules were realtively fair when she lost (even the Playmaker one, since he let himself get damaged to prop his Storm Access, and his initial hand had 4 mysterious card that could've been made into anything to minimize damage if she tried to do the Trickstar Lycoris OTK on him).
Unironically Rebecca was absolutely goated cuz she was playing a ton of meta staples at the time and played them well. For the few duels she plays she does have a solid win rate. And justice for Aoi and Aki. They deserve more Ws
I like Yuri and Predaplants but yeah he had no business winning as much as he did. If he had Dracostapelia and used Super Poly offensively and not as a counter to people stealing his monster then it would be a different story.
@@theKingmaker108 he had Ivy Bind Castle, which is by far the strongest card... ever, actually. Of course he won that much (even though he didn't use this card very often)
@@heleno6917 Second half of Arc-V has very questionable writing, Ivy Bind Castle is one of such example when writers just giving up at making Predaplant threatening and instead just give him one time almost generic Floodgate and called it a day.
Aoi Zaizen (aka Blue Angel) and Trickstar. In fact, they made her make TERRIBLY plays MULTIPLE times just so she wouldn't win, as she had the cards to easily win in her hand and field. They made her swtich to a far weaker deck just so they didn't have to deal with all the scenarios where she should had won. Seriously, with with only 4000 LP, Trickstar is probably THE most powerful deck in all the anime, even with their broken anime-only cards.
During S1 the way she dueled was part actually doing good plays but also part to entertain(since Charisma duelist are classified as pro in dueling and giving fun) . Hence she would not try to FTK/OTK to prevent things for going boring. Maybe (and this is just me rather than shown / proven) since she got high status, some people would try to play with cards that would give them LP, thus she needed tor rely on battle as well. Vs Playmaker she also had her reason of trying to impress her brother plus the above, likely why she didn't the most optimal play to prove she could beat him fair and square. Regardless, Yusaku had 4 cards we never see him use before being banished by Reincarnation: she she tried to FTK, the writers could make any of those be qucik-play effects, maybe with discard cost, to reduce his hand size. Since she didn't, he lets the burn happen to help prop his Storm Access (as limlied in the duel). The brainwashing and Dark Angel card didn't likley help things either. Vs Specter: he had a deck that countered her by gaining LP, having higher ATK monsters and stealing her resources. He also studied the way she dueled and prepared to counter her futher (like banishing all her 3 Reincarnations, and having a plan B Trap Crad if she had a way to recover thoses- as she did- or had another way to inflcit high concentrated burn damage). It was not one side, however, considering she was able to hang on and adapt, while dueling more seriously (since her Baira duel). Season 1 was fair and made sense on why she loses, and coud prompt a future developmment of being more serious and improving her tactics. But from Season 2 onwards the writers couldn't bother with her due to plot or behind characters agendas they wanted to push. They kept her using burn strats, while giving every strong duelist anti/counter burn cards, and / or had due questionable plays for character reasons: Vs Soulburner: they needed to push him as this really strong duelist by beating her after a hard duel; but how to balance her not winning whe she has him on the rope most of the duel? they not only they gave him that card whose only purpose was to counter trickstar 200 burn, but they needed her to misplay by a psycological reason that Soulburner and Flame predicted she would, to make they fusion get the kill; where if she did nothing she would've survived the attack. Vs Bohman: They gave him a anti burn card that she would've been able to overcome and win, if he also didn't had a mosnter to reset his burn card. Then, after she has a mosnter that has over 4000 ATK and is unnnafected by everything and could block several attacks; they have him use, only in this duel, a mosnter that affects the player and bypass her defenses. If she didn't reborn her Crystal heart, she would've survived. Bohman would lose his boss by it own effect, but stil had a unknown card in his hand, while she would need to top deck. Likely, that mysterious card would save Bohman and he would win. But since the writers couldn' bother with more turns for her, they had do the misplay likelydue to knowing she had nothing left and wanted to go down with head held high. I she used her Trickstar, you know Bohman not only had that anti burn card (maybe others) but also would've played cards that changed her LIGHT attribute mosnters to one he could handle (like he did in vs Playmaker Round 2). Vs Ai: Like Bohman, another final boss for the season, so she was not beating him. He won by knowing her Marincess strategies and burn tendecies. Though she could've won if Akira hadn't left her with so low LP, otherwise she would've survived Ai trap and won. She was carrying the team that duel, even if her dedication to her brother made her put cards to synergize with his deck (Tindagles) to her detriment. Considering Ai spared her you think they would have her duel one more time to serve as payoff for all her struggle during the series, like having her duel Roboppi (who had similar themes of brotherhood, fantasy, joy; also because Roboppi beat Ghost Girl andBlood Sherperd), but they gave the two duels before the finale to Soulburner, instead of just the vs Revovler one.
Yeah.....I hate when anime does this. Like if you're going to make an overpowered character who can easily get a win, why not just let them get a win once so it's understandable why everyone else tries to make counters against them. Or hey here's an idea, make the loses believable. From what I hear season 1 is ok, but having an opponent draw 1 card they'll never use again just to counter this one deck is kinda lame and ruins the duel a bit. Idk I just have this issue whenever an anime does this. I've been watching bleach lately and they do this exact thing to 2 characters in it. They both have rather broken abilities and could do more, but are constantly beaten/put on the sideline because of how the tension would be gone if the anime made use of their powers
Mai was about to beat the main antagonist who had an anime version of ra,using a 2003 amazoness Decks. but they did the whole "ancient incantation"BS. after that battle i couldn't take marik as an actual competent antagonist. like he didn't even cheat or did any underhanded tactic,he just won because mai didn't know ancient egyptian. like burh...
I would love an alternative ending to that duel where Marik is gloating about Mai needing to recite the ancient Egyptian chant, just for Mai to pull up Google translate on her phone and Marik absolutely loses his shit
His only "strategy" was to deal mental damage to the opponent and hope for them to forget how to play. He almost shat himself when he saw Joey still standing after Ra's attack. He's such a lousy duelist
To be fair, Mai Valentine did dominate canonically. She was like, a professional celebrity duelist who won tournaments. She just had the misfortune of dueling the Main Characters on screen.
I mean lets be honest, Kallin's no contest was a straight up win for him and is only a no contest on the technicality that they couldn't kill the protagonist, so his set up broke right before he was about to lose a game where if you lose you die. For all intent and purposes that was a win for him and a loss for Yusei and treating it as anything else is dumb
Later in the series they even point out "crashing a D-Wheel in a Riding Duel counts as a loss" to the extent a WRGP team has it as their main strategy.
Legit his only two losses are to Yusei, and by the time they dueled in Crashtown Yusei just knew the matchup very well by virtue of his previous two duels with him
Biggest reason Mai should have done so much better: She had the first _archetypal_ deck in YGO history; "Harpie Lady" was the first archetype the game had. It had monsters that supported the archetype, it had monsters whom the archetype bolstered, and it had in-archetype Spells and Traps to answer damn near everything. Field presence? Elegant Egotist and Phoenix Formation. Backrow removal? Feather Duster. Big monster? Feather Storm to stop it, Pet Dragon to squish it. She deserved better.
In Alito's defense, the only reason he loses his duels is because Yuma is constantly pulling custom cards out of his ass that would not be useful in any other scenario except for against exactly Alito. Like read the anime only card Emperor's Armor and tell me that was not an ass pull to let Yuma beat Alito with Number 54: Lion Heart of all cards.
His power is to make up custom cards for the situation, that's shining draw. Have you read the dog shit vanish sage card that he uses to win against vector?
@@hazavair5755 Vanish Sage was used against Heartland but Yuma didn't even Shining Draw Emperor's Armor which literally means he has that card in his standard deck. Still one of the biggest ass pulls.
Yuma just feels like if bandit keith was the protagonist. So much cheating! Literally stacking the deck with cards that arent even in it! Might as well have the whole exodia set in his sleeve
@@undeadinside3571 Not stacking. Pulling cards that literally did not exist until 2 seconds ago out of his ass. One time Yuma takes a card ALREADY in his hand and goes "Now it does this other thing".
My favorite example is Noah having Yata-Garasu, but never actually uses him for his ability, instead only summons him once for his spell to give him LP. Obviously Chaos stuff didn't exist yet but imagine THAT being Yata's claim in the anime, one LP gain use.
You're misemembering how that went. He summoned Yata because it had enough ATK for lethal if Shinato could beat over Atem's set monster, but it was Obnoxious Celtic Guard whose effect meant he couldn't beat over it and he had to just pass. But EVEN IF he succeeded, he wouldn't have been able to use Yata's effect because it had enough ATK for lethal
Noah also used Yamata Dragon, a card that lets you draw until you have 5 cards in hand every time it inflicts damage. He never makes a single attempt to empty his hand at all to use that effect, despite having spells and traps he could have set.
Yeah, Reiji's winrate was insane for a series' Kaiba. IIRC, his only loss was against the big villain of the entire series... and he STILL did more damage to him than anyone else.

Akizas deck was so strong that in the 2010 5Ds game you did not have to beat her to progress the story. She was a boss battle that you were intended to lose.
Well if it's the fight I'm thinking of it makes sense. You're stuck using a starter deck you can't modify for that duel. A decent one. But it's not very consistent. Who thought Luminous Soldier was a good choice?

I remember Rata stating in the "Yu-Gi-Oh: The Movie" commentary that writing duels for the anime was hard since having the characters simply play stuff like MST, Solemn Judgment, Raigeki, CED, etc., would make for boring television. There is a reason games in the anime resemble a Luke Von Karma video more than a YCS.
The reason is that competitive children's card games fundamentally miss the point of the game. Everything fun about the game doesn't exist in a tournament setting.
Reiji kept winning because his voice actor was so busy that he couldn't show up much to recording. So they just had Reiji duel sporadically. Eventually, Jack took over as Yuya's rival, and then Aster, and then Yuri. That's how you win in Yu-Gi-Oh be a main character's rival at conception, then have a super busy voice actor, so you just end up winning at everything. That's Jack and Chazz's first mistake, they had available voice actors
Okay to be fair, I'm pretty sure that wasn't time BS but Fujiwara reading his mind on how he THINKS the duel will go. It's still very funny that the writers jabaited the audience like that
To be fair the way the duel actually went was completely wrong. Burst Breath tributes for cost not effect, Atticus should have been able to get the tie game whether or not Yusuke knew about it
My favorite has to be how the first series made so many casual players believe the god cards are actually good, and in some cases, there are people that are not really players that think the god cards are forbidden in tournaments.
@@alicepbg2042 Shared effects that they get would just be immunity to card effects which might have been a tad overtuned for their time but not long after their release we'd get Towers, and I think that if Towers were released in the 2008 environment as a generic 3 tribute monster it wouldn't be that good, it mainly benefited from Qliphort being overall strong. Otherwise, Obelisk gives you an OTK, Osiris hits things in Defense position which is, well, actually that would be pretty nuts, and Ra is a bit more flexible as a beatstick. Arc V makes no sense if you think about it too hard, like how the Xyz Dimension was conquered by people going "Normal Summon Ancient Gear Hunting Hound, pass", or that Yuto apparently was a top duelist when his boss monster only worked in the anime on level 5+ monsters... on the xyz dimension.... where most things don't have levels.
Arc V could fill up this whole video, its protagonist is one of the handful of people playing pendulum in pendulum format and yet he has the second worst w/l record out of the protagonists in the mainline series.
I subscribe to the theory that Yuto had a ton of weird PKs that never saw the light of day that had no other purpose than to manipulate Ranks into Levels for Rebellion to take advantage of. Imagine stuff like "An Xyz Monster that was Summoned using this card on the field as material gains this effect. ● If this card is Xyz Summoned: You can target 1 face-up Xyz Monster on the field; it becomes treated as Level 5, until the end of the turn."
Because they also did real damage to the city and they didn’t just use hound they used gear soldier and chaos giant and speaking of chaos giant there was a scene where it looked like they weren’t summoned in a duel and were just summoned straight up and did real damage

Sadly, some of these are because of the "female characters, lol" attitude. Every girl that had any significance in the plot was portrayed as this frightening, 500 IQ duelist in their first duel, only to be defeated by the protagonist and nerfed beyond reason. After the Dark Signer arc, Aki got turned pretty much into twins' caretaker and fanservice, because Crow happened I guess and Alexis, who was regarded as an absolute top student in the most prestigious dueling school and has an impressive off-screen win rate just served as a cannon fodder for villains, getting abducted from time to time.
I mean, Shin Yoshida (who was head writer for 5Ds post-Dark Signers, Arc-V, and VRAINS) outright said he doesn't know what to do with female characters so he just sidelines them. And she also got wrecked anyway so it didn't matter. YGO's treatment of women is wild.
Let us reflect on the fact that sherry should have acces to FUCKING BARONNE DE FLEUR. How was she shafted so bad Is beyond me. Then again, female character in ygo anime.
@@starbound100 because canonically she only had the inferior version (chevalier de fleur)? Which can only negate spell/trap during the owner's turn? MBT, it is vital that you make a tournament based on the most popular tournaments in each anime but with the new support to each character's respective archetypes.
There is a small cameo of the Advanced Lancers in ARC-V getting captured and you see some of their boss monsters before they are captured. They are playing something like Prophecy, Naturia, and Perfectly Ultimate Great Moth

Mai is a hilarious duelist, because she is consistently a pain to beat in the video games because of how much synergy her deck has, in addition to support cards like Harpie's Feather Duster that are just incredible. Naturally, the only duels she wins in the series proper are offscreen.
With the format in VRains, Aoi should’ve been taking duelists out left, right and center with her Trickstar deck. Yet she kept coming out on the losing end. Alexis should’ve also won a lot more than she did in the GX anime. She had one of the best decks in the show with her Cyber Angels and was constantly losing.
To be fair, her initial deck was weak Monsters, with subpar effects(With the exception of Cyber Gymanst), and a goal to summon one semi-decent Fusion and nothing else. And she didn't adopt Cyber Angels until later. Which she did win against Chazz, and Titan.
Not only did Akiza have Black Rose, but she ALSO had the long-since banned Phoenixian Cluster Amaryillis as a backup monster which had a better effect in the anime lol. Yuri might make some silly decisions, but tbf - Ivy Bind Castle is damn near Underworld Circle in terms of bs "can never be printed" anime card powerlevels.
I'd argue that it's even more busted than Underworld Circle because yeah Underworld Circle is Inferno Tempest with no setup, but if you activate Ivy Bind Castle your opponent literally can't do anything except for hand traps and whatever's in their graveyard. It's just an auto-win button that might as well read "Skip your opponent's next turn"
Revolver was the master of classic staples, he litterally won two times by just flipping Mirror Force and then won another time with freaking Imperial Order, he was in fact so strong that Lightning only defeated him through cheating :v
Fun facts: One of Revolver's losses was to the Light Ignis who ACTUALLY CHEATS and wins with 1 LP instead of a draw. Shock Master, I believe is nerfed from the anime Revolver/Varis had a version of Gumblar that rips ALL cards AND had an extra link made of entirely Link 4 monsters and lost to Playmaker. Blue Angel/Gal/Maiden was shafted in almost every duel she was in.
nonono shockmaster is buffed in the anime the idiot just said traps instead of monster or spells he could have won cause anime shockmaster works for 2 of your opppoennt turn card is broken as sin
@@dragullongblackfang8073 I know how he lost, he was an idiot who couldn't abuse the cracked AF card effectively. I just phrased it as "nerfed from" because cards usually appear in the anime first. But I never said it was worse in the anime.
@@MBTYuGiOhBohman doesn't exactly kill Lightning. He absorbs the fucker, which was Lightning's plan. He wanted all 6 Ignis to be absorbed by Bohman to maximize his power so that the Ignis could basically turn the YGO world into The Matrix. It's just that Bohman fucking dying took the 5 Ignis he absorbed with him.
To be fair, Blue Angel is a Charisma Duelist which is basically the in universe equivalent of a dueling celebrity. And she kinda has to entertain her audience. I doubt most people would find an FTK that doesn't let your opponent play fun.
How did no one mention Noah Kaiba during his duel with Yugi where he has a competent life point regaining deck, a busted version of Shinato, and multiple times to win with his Spirit monsters, including even via Yatalock?
Fun fact, Noah would have won if at one point he'd forced Big Shield Gardna into attack mode instead of Kuriboh, and in the Japanese anime, Noah commented in the moment he attacked Kuriboh because he was vindictive that it'd attacked him a few turns earlier. Noah lost his duel because of his own immaturity, which was kind of an underlying theme in the Japanese Noah.
Yuri's best card was essentially a plant specificMystic Mine on steriods, that thankfully never got to show up long enough to do anything. Also, Super Poly is a busted card when your entire deck's gimmick revolves around abusing it and similar cards. But characters need to play bad cards and do weird moves to make duels last long enough to be interesting, which is why every protagonist(and many of the more sadistic villians) plays weird(and sometimes downright BAD) stuff.
Ironically, Starving Venom was obnoxiously strong in the anime - Gained the ATK of ALL monsters the opponent had - Could use DARK monsters from anywhere - Negated the effect of whichever monster he targeted for the effect copy - The field wipe triggered regardless if fusion summoned or not, and also burned the opponent for the ATK of all monsters they had Only problem is...he constantly threatens with the burn so his opponent proceeds to try and counter it
Tbh I was more upset with Bakura. All of his decks has a legitimate strategy and a good one at that but plot armor won. Hell his duel against Marik was only won because he literally gave him Ra because of Good Marik telling him it was a good idea.
@@Honest_Mids_Masher It's kind of funny that outside of Pegasus, the other two canonical villains, are pretty ass at this game. Marik losing constantly Yami Marik ass pulling his victories Yami Bakura only winning against a D-tier character.
I always thought that was the point. Kaiba, Bakura, and Pegasus were all nerds who were good at card games. Marik didn't give a damn about the card game and just wanted to humiliate and kill the pharaoh. So he, along with most of the rare hunters he recruited, played nothing but gimmicky cheese strats to compensate for the fact that they weren't very good at the game.
@@TheLordTash playing a gimmick deck and not being good at the game is one thing. But they treated him like he was some galaxy brain manipulator that was always in control...... Yet he needed plot armor to still win. I would have been ok with him winning with underhanded tactics it would but Ra being the only god card having a summoning have a summoning chant pull just made it feel like he wasn't winning the game just the writers were making his opponents lose.
0:07 Dire's tv show reference 3:03 Trickstar's were so powerful they had to make Aoi getting brainwashed mid-duel just to make her lose 6:48 to be fair, jack as a comic relief is really better. 7:08 I am pretty sure Declan / Reiji only lost to Yuya and Zarc.... and that's it. Otherwise he had perfect win record. 7:22 Revolver only lost to Yusaku / Playmaker, Soulburner, and Lightning... And Lightning had to cheat to win, otherwise their duel wiuld have been a draw. 7:49 that's part of yuga's charm. also, that most of the time yuga seemed to be 3 steps ahead of everyone even when he lost. only times the dude lost his chill was when going against ladybug related sutff. and people say that he takes it a step further in GO RUSH
Lightning didn't just cheat, he cheated MULTIPLE TIMES. First he used a hostage when Revolver had game so he had to pass or kill said hostage, and when Lightning activated a burn effect that would KO both of them, he cheated to gain enough life points by STEALING THE DATA OF HIS HOSTAGE'S MEMORIES so that he had enough to survive with just 1 Life Point after the burn went through. This is some Seto Kaiba levels of "Guy who should have won but lost to blatant cheating"
Okay so Camula's deck was kinda ass, it was just vampires without any other zombies to support. But she did have Illusion Gate. I just feel like if I had a card that read "pick someone. If you lose the duel their soul is sacrificed to the Sacred Beasts" I'd do better at locals
The funniest stuff about Ghost Girl was the Fact that her only victory wasn't against any serious character or anything, It was against Brave Max (The Dab Guy) Who wasted 5 cards just to summon a Link 2 with no effect but high Stats hoping that It would survive Silquitous Effect because It was a Link Monster and It couldn't be "Returned to the Hand"
At least it was clear she stomped him, while going easy and even flexing in the end. She was more useful as a support hacker progammer character that helped the good guys. She was more useful when she was not dueling.
6:54 Comic relief Jack is the best thing about 5d's, I find it hilarious that instead of holding down a job and being a functioning human being he drains his friends bank accounts because of his tea addiction and goes out at night trying to be a vigilante all the while making everyone wonder where the fuck he wandered off to. XD
reiji being mentioned here is wild. he only has 2 on screen lost, 1 of them was against zarc who had an established board, n a no contest. legit everyone else he schooled so hard, i was wondering if he can be beaten at all
I would love to see Sawatari with complete Abyss Actors support tbh. He would beat Z-ARC if he was the first person to duel him and with Link 1, 2 and Mellow Madonna (I don't think he had her) he could've done very well, not to mention off-engine cards like Beyond the Pendulum.
A lot of arc-v characters had super strong archetypes but lost due to plot armor. Zarc was on pure supreme kings, there’s no way he should have beaten _anyone._
Shingo was actually very close anyway and I am pretty sure he is the closest anyone got to actually making Zarc panic, guy looped Rise of the Abyss King with Abysstainment to wipe his field only for Zarc to go 'nuh huh since there's extra deck monsters in the GY I can't be destroyed' or something
Let's be honest, guys, the strongest Yugioh player was that computer that was straight up playing stun to stall so that Yusei couldn't get through the door. Anime characters never build their decks optimally so realistically they won't have outs most of the time, as they just win by having protagonist plot armor drawing whatever weird specific card that's only useful in that specific scenario.
As someone who made multiple games as a kid to make and play with friends... I think Yuga losing in his own format is good! I didn't design this because I wanted to wipe everyone, I taught you this game because its got SAUCE and it SLAPS and its perfect for are group with x number of people.
Lechter (the Jinzo deck master guy) in season 3 of the anime gave himself an ability to completely stop only the opponent’s traps for the entire duel, AND ran pre-errata imperial order, but still got clapped. If anime characters doubled in on the lockdown strategy rather than constantly trying to out muscle the protagonists in the end, they’d have won a lot more.
It's probably not a good idea to advertise a card game by showing all the ways to not let the opponent play the game though. It's kinda why they don't use FTKs unless they also show the out for it or make it super Jank.
No. Its cause the writers don't know how to write duels that isn't caveman beat down and makes broken cards to make their jobs easier rather than actually learning what's optimal. Writers don't play YGO.
@@soukenmarufwt5224dude, they do. The between-chapters shorts in the GX manga were all about the writer trying to build competitive versions of character decks.
Leichter did try to stay on that, but couldn't - he had been running out of LP, so he couldn't keep IO on the field anyway, and after that, all he had was Satellite Cannon
In Yuga's defense, he is a game creator. Game creators don't care that much about winning and care more about people enjoying the game. Sure he said "Rush Duels will be easier to play and win." But I think he's mature enough to get over it. Although I have to admit, Yuga should have won more duels especially with "Sevens Wonder Fusion". It was pretty broken since it was probably limited (or banned. I don't remember that much about rush duel banlist.) After it debut in the show!
"But I think he's mature enough to get over it." he very much isn't. he gets pretty frustated when he loses. it's part of the character. he also gets super happy when he beats luke for the first time.
@@VivosaurACE by show I mean go rush. And yeah, he did only have two losses there. (But seriously, why did Yudias gets more wins despite barely doing anything especially in season 2?)
Having played Legacy of the Duelist, I have an extremely hard time believing Yusei won anything. His decks are so bad. Requiring very specific combinations of monsters to even use the extra deck, let alone pull out something useful. And this remained true in MD, during the anime tryout event. Yusei’s deck was the weakest by a long shot.
I can honestly only think 4 Good cards in his deck: Junk Syncron, Stardust Dragon, Quickdraw Syncron and Level eater. But there's no synergy for his clear Syncro mill strategy. Also, WTH are the Warrior monsters?! They do NOTHING to help the clearly better Syncrons and some would have been bad back in S2 of the original anime.
@N12015 an important distance between the anime and game is junk warrior is a continuous effect in the anime while it's on summon in the game. That shit could get boosted to high hell because of that difference
Have you SEEN the anime at all? like 5Ds is the best, most serious and compelling storywise, but aside from some good ones, most Yusei duels are setup Stardust, he dies, set facedown trap, barely survive, set another one, barely survive, do that for like 2-3 episodes, draw the out I love my guy, but Yuseis duels in 5Ds are beyond boring, especially after the dark signers arc
Fun fact. The Yugioh writers flat-out said by the time of Vrains they had no choice but to pretend some character's canon cards didn't exist to make duels still work. That is why Firewall Dragon is only in 3 duels despite being Yusaku's ace card.
Still say the card should have just had power-level errata anyway, and been given it diegetically in the show with the card being hacked and slightly repaired, or something.
to be fair on the last post. being good at your own game is WAY harder than it looks. I'm currently making my own trading card game, and one of my players immediately became the best player over night as he kept finding different ways to blow out the game and loop resources. the guy is fucking insane. even I WHO CREATED THE GAME dont understand the game to the stand level as my play testers.
Ok this video was perhaps the biggest banger in MBT’s recent history, maybe it’s the YGO anime obsession in me but I just could not stop laughing Also fun fact Luke does not lose a single rush duel for the entirety of the show until the LITERAL final episode when Yuga FINALLY beats him once (& The⭐️Lukeman losing does not count the show even says this)
This is the best time for anime cards to be released, not only they get printed with the original effects, sometimes their effects are better. In 2010 every anime card that was released had the effects nerf. (Harpy lady Phoenix formation 😢)
I wonder why nobody mentioned Edo on GX. The guy could have access to an unnafected Skill Drain that steals a monster per turn. How the fuck do they beat that?!
Strings? AKA the guy controlled by Marik? Yea, the infinite loop shouldn't even be possible 1. Brain Control is not Quick-Play 2. Brain Control cannot target a monster in the graveyard 3. If Revival Jam summoned itself back after being taken by Brain Control, it would just come back to Marik's field and not proc Slifer's ATK/DEF reduction
Anyone remember that 1 off character from arc v play beastborgs. The guy had a continuous trap that prevented almost any action in the game and some how still losses
Blue Angel. Trickstars were meta, _VRAINS_ was letting people play actual meta decks . . . and she still gets ROFLstomped by anyone with a tickle stick. Yes it was abundantly clear that the franchise hated female characters doing well, but it's hard to believe that _VRAINS_ wasn't at least trying to prove that.
My favorite duelist that shouldn't have lost is the fortune teller from Zexal. He has the world's only copies of both Big Eyes and Shock Master, AKA the only two numbers really wroth playing. He only showed up once. He lost to Utopia Ray, which no one should ever use.
Well technically Revolver should have beaten over Lightning if he didn't cheat and Bohman was like "Yes, let him so I can beat Playmaker" but then pretends to be a good guy and stops Lightning so it becomes a "DRAW" but NOPE. And then he loses to Soulburner but like that's more respectable than LIGHTNING. Also yea, Reiji only lost twice so I don't get that guy's assumption.
He didn't lose that many duels, tho He lost to the protagonist who went undefeated the entirety of VRains after drawing with him once or twice (and pretty much only lost cuz protagonist powers) Lost to Light Ignis who just flat out cheated to win a duel that should have ended in a draw Lost to Soulburner, who Revolver did want to win for reasons related to the plot
4:40 What does this guy mean? Throughout the entirety of 5ds Crow only lost one duel(if we are not counting team duels where he did get taken out) and that was a duel he lost on purpose.
Alot of the GX era characters decks Jaden and Asters updated HEROs would go hard in the anime. Imagine the absolute menace Yubel would have been with updated Yubel support. Crowler and his Ancient Gears. Alexis and her Cyber Angels. The Dino DNA guy. The Dark World/Supreme King arc would have been interesting.
I will always get brainrot from the way that Aporia lost in 5Ds, aside from Meklords being just straight up bad, in the context of 5Ds they were downright broken. Yet despite this they had to just let Yusei win last second by nothing more than plot convenience and something that downright unfair, playing the game during your opponents turn. Glad that never came to the game as some sort of mechanic
Okay but Predaplant guy has 1 duel he absolutely should've won, His board was the equivalent of Royal decree + Mass Driver + Imperial Order + Skill Drain And 4 other cards to use for Predaplant stuff, But for the second time in like 10 episodes Yuya wins against a card so hilariously broken that people called mystic mine unplayably bad in comparison through pure plot armor.
In the defense about the issues with Akiza, the writers were kinda backed into a corner. Her Japanese voice actress requested time off since she was getting married, so they had to decrease her prominence to facilitate that.
They could've just hired another VA. I don't think they planned to have her as a significant character anymore, since she was pretty much only a standing duellist and the next season was all about riding duels with three perfectly competent riding protagonists.
My Exodia was 5Ds development hell. From changing the villain to not allienate Blackwing Players, forcing a retcon mid arc which is never fun, to removing Carly's character due to legal issues with her voice actress, and now I discover another voice actress being too busy. Gotta love corporativism messing up passion proyects.
@@N12015 Aki's case was a case of "seiyuu getting married" so .... (alongside the other rumors). Aki was doomed to have her significance reduced one way or another, despite how, up to a certain point, she was arguably the 3rd protagonist of the show until Crow came and stole her thunder.
Which is a shame, the less air time you get in the anime the less cards you'll have made for your archetype, that in turn means less time with viewers and less time for the archetype to become popular. As you can see with the SD for Red Dragon Archfiend (that fave easy access to almost all of his cards), and the new "Red Lotus King, Flame Crime", he got a much bigger wave of support in a much shorter amount of time than Rose Dragons, Morphtronics or Black Wings, all of which have to wait longer for small amounts of cards that are not as pushed. Other archetypes need a few cards that feel pushed to be amazing, especially those with only 2 real boss monsters and they both have two sided, terrible board wipes for modern game play.
Can we just sit back for a moment and talk about how busted Pegasus' deck is? - Relinquished and Thousand Eyes Restrict - Toon monsters that can attack directly in a 4000lp format - And Toon support cards like: Toon Kingdom, Comic Hand, Mimicat and Toon Briefcase that wouldn't be printed till 2015 but Pegasus is causally using in the GX era.
@@ssjbread2803 In the Pyramid of Light movie, where they followed the IRL rules, yes, but they didn't have that effect in the anime. If they did, Pegasus would win turn 1 or 2 against everyone. Against Yugi, he summoned Toon after Toon against him, to the point where he had 3 on field at once, in a format where the starting LP is 2000.
She Dueled once and lost once, to Kaiba. The idea was to force Kaiba to die to self-burn from attacking with Obelisk and triggering Blast Held by a Tribute. However, that's when Kaiba got a vision and interpreted it as him having to use Blue-Eyes, which is where he ends up just tributing Obelisk away
I want to know what their excuse for dennis and disrespecting his performage deck. The deck wasn't inherently broken on it own, only through off theme interactions. The character actually had decent duels even after he revealed he was part of the fusion force. He even had a epic duel with yuya post zarc. Sawatari gets yosenju support and OG support for abyss actor (his manga deck was monarchs). Why am i now qaiting year 6 soon for performages SUPPORT?!
i find it odd how nobody mentioned Soul Burner, who's deck was so good the writers themselves stated they had to pull absolute nonsense to even give him a challenge.
It was mentioned, MBT just didn't show it
Except against blue angel. Instead they just gave him a card that says "if you're opponent is named blue angel, you win the duel" lol
See, I WOULD, but Soulburner loses exactly one duel with Salamangreat, and it's to the walking Human Instrumentality Project.

She was made with the idea that she represented the meta decks in the era, sadly we didnt saw her enough
She was also an Anime character so they could only put her in filler episodes..... Which is the funniest part
since that season and the one before, Orichalcos, was filler, they took advantage to make adds for the game per se. For example precisely in the Rebecca duel Yugi explains the concept of chain link.
Rebecca is the reigning American champion in the Japanese version of the show

To be fair, half of the times Judgment Arrows was used it was either searched or they had a skill to cheat it out of the deck
Yeah Spectre got shafted. He dueled Aoi, Yusaku and Lightning. All 3 games he put up a great fight.
Imagine if he had Rikka engine and VF Tree
@@pickyphysicsstudent201Like, he roflstomped Aoi, only lost to Yusaku because he couldn't help but flex, and lost to Lightning because Armatos Legio is literally playing with a Deck of custom cards (Sunvine Plunder specifically has destruction protection for itself and the card it steals, so the Armatos Legio Lightning uses pops, negates, and then pops again)
For Revolver his losses is:
Yusaku plot armor drew the out
Yusaku plot armor drew the out
Lightning cheated
Soul Burner outplayed Revolver
I'm actually wondering if Revolver could still somehow pull a win against Ghost Gal if he Storm Accessed into Gumblar/Zeroboros instead of Trisbaena specifically.
The loss against Lightning still genuinely makes me angry, bum A.I.
But he lost versus soulburner?
@@armedweiss5531I think we all have had our experiences with Mirror Force like that
Bro could've just like, invent new Gouki link with effect to give Ancient Gear protection in BP to all Gouki monsters, It still show sign of PTSD but also feels more like he's improving from past mistake instead of loser that ditched a decent deck for inferior ones bar a single card.

Blue Angel had no business losing 90% of the duels she was in. Trickstars were a menace and she had all the cards she needed to to body all of them.

The preadplant guy didn't even have predaplant fusion monsters. He was on starving venom turbo and pray.

@@raydhen8840 Even as a massive Arc V fan i completely agree with you
Aoi Zaizen (aka Blue Angel) and Trickstar.
Hell even Marincess was theoretically still better than many of the other Decks XD...
They kept her using burn strats, while giving every strong duelist anti/counter burn cards, and / or had due questionable plays for character reasons:
Vs Soulburner: they needed to push him as this really strong duelist by beating her after a hard duel; but how to balance her not winning whe she has him on the rope most of the duel? they not only they gave him that card whose only purpose was to counter trickstar 200 burn, but they needed her to misplay by a psycological reason that Soulburner and Flame predicted she would, to make they fusion get the kill; where if she did nothing she would've survived the attack.

He almost shat himself when he saw Joey still standing after Ra's attack. He's such a lousy duelist
To be fair, Mai Valentine did dominate canonically. She was like, a professional celebrity duelist who won tournaments. She just had the misfortune of dueling the Main Characters on screen.

And heck, continued it with Amazoness.

For the flaws they have, the anime effects honestly would have been fine to have even put on their original printings.

● If this card is Xyz Summoned: You can target 1 face-up Xyz Monster on the field; it becomes treated as Level 5, until the end of the turn."

like they legit realized that they couldn't come up with a duel where mai would reasonably lose vs raphael so they had to offscreen her.
Yugioh has a refrigerator for every female character
I mean, Shin Yoshida (who was head writer for 5Ds post-Dark Signers, Arc-V, and VRAINS) outright said he doesn't know what to do with female characters so he just sidelines them. Dude literally forgets how to competently use a character just because they have tits.

Ironically, Starving Venom was obnoxiously strong in the anime

I feel that about “need an emotional relief character”
6:44 Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought she was called a child prodigy or at least regional champion.
Hes a yugioh fan, he can't read
When literal fictional child has more tops than you...
and a major meta deck runner too boot xd
Can we talk about how bad Merrick was dude lost every duel he was apart of only beating Mai and Joey because the writers said so.
Marik losing constantly
Yami Marik ass pulling his victories
Yami Bakura only winning against a D-tier character.
@@SakuraAvalon That's one of the many issues I had with DM. They didn't make the villains look competent outside of Pegasus.
0:07 Dire's tv show reference
3:03 Trickstar's were so powerful they had to make Aoi getting brainwashed mid-duel just to make her lose
6:48 to be fair, jack as a comic relief is really better.
I mean, in a way, he wasn't wrong...
Imagine using Gouki but got defeated and then choose to play Dinowrestler instead
I don't know what is on his mind to play that deck
Apparently the super powerful AI they shoved into his brain didn't realize Dinowrestler wasn't an archetype, just a label for Pankratops
Dinowrestler Pankratops is a great card, so the rest of the archetype must good, right? ... Right?!
Not hard when you're playing pure gouki. I don't know why this is so hard for people to grasp. He wasn't playing Gouki Knightmare Firewall U-Link!
he gave up his humanity and played a montruous archetype.
to later on regain it and go back to gouki
@@Dramatic_Gaming Don't forget Neos. Never forget Gouki was viable in part due to Aqua Dolphin having synergy with them somehow.
My absolute favourite is never seeing Spectre in an official on-screen speed duel. Imagine a Sunavalon Driadrientay flying at Mach 5 towards you.
Chef don't bake the cake and eat it too, after all, they just let others experiences what they are COOKING!
@@alicepbg2042 fair enough, he's just a little boy. (My little boy.)
IIRC he never got sevens wonder fusion till go rush & he's only lost twice in that series (to my knowledge)
Have you SEEN the anime at all? like 5Ds is the best, most serious and compelling storywise, but aside from some good ones, most Yusei duels are setup Stardust, he dies, set facedown trap, barely survive, set another one, barely survive, do that for like 2-3 episodes, draw the out
I love my guy, but Yuseis duels in 5Ds are beyond boring, especially after the dark signers arc
If the creators knew the game better than the top players, then the banlist and FTKs would never have existed in the first place.
It's not like Richard Garfield, the guy that invented the first proper TCG, won the first game of Magic. So I've heard.
Ok this video was perhaps the biggest banger in MBT’s recent history, maybe it’s the YGO anime obsession in me but I just could not stop laughing
Also fun fact Luke does not lose a single rush duel for the entirety of the show until the LITERAL final episode when Yuga FINALLY beats him once (& The⭐️Lukeman losing does not count the show even says this)
bandit keith's cheating was also funny because it's the anime, everyone draws whatever card they need anyway
By attacking over it, like all anime characters do when they see a boss monster
Attacking over it, and Saiou just overall had the bigger beatsticks
let's not forget that puppet guy who had slyffer and he lost to an infinite loop which didn't even abide by the rules.
Strings? AKA the guy controlled by Marik? Yea, the infinite loop shouldn't even be possible
1. Brain Control is not Quick-Play
2. Brain Control cannot target a monster in the graveyard
3. If Revival Jam summoned itself back after being taken by Brain Control, it would just come back to Marik's field and not proc Slifer's ATK/DEF reduction
How did Valon ever lose? His deck requires him to just give his opponent a LITERAL beat-down. Bring a lead pipe next time, guy.
Because Joey got hands and beat him to the punch, litterally.
Anyone remember that 1 off character from arc v play beastborgs. The guy had a continuous trap that prevented almost any action in the game and some how still losses
Well, he didn't lose to Yuya (the guy he floodgated), Sergey just joined in the duel himself and was as such not affected by Barett's board
Ok now hold on, Reiji/Declan won MOST of his duels with D/D
Rebecca randomly comes back in s5 and unironically plays stun.
He lost to Utopia Ray, which no one should ever use.
our queens always being done dirty. DAMN YOU PATRIARCHY PLOT
I just want to say regarding Reiji/Declan.
He was the only guy playing D/D/D, so he had find the lines out by himself.
Wowowwow, look, revolver bodies alot of big names in that anime. And most of his lost, the duels were spectacular
Revolver casually has Mirror Force, Imperial Order, and Red Reboot and still manages to lose duels.
He didn't lose that many duels, tho
He lost to the protagonist who went undefeated the entirety of VRains after drawing with him once or twice (and pretty much only lost cuz protagonist powers)
Lost to Light Ignis who just flat out cheated to win a duel that should have ended in a draw
Lost to Soulburner, who Revolver did want to win for reasons related to the plot
4:40 What does this guy mean? Throughout the entirety of 5ds Crow only lost one duel(if we are not counting team duels where he did get taken out) and that was a duel he lost on purpose.
Jack Atlas spends $30 on coffee.
Alot of the GX era characters decks
Jaden and Asters updated HEROs would go hard in the anime. Imagine the absolute menace Yubel would have been with updated Yubel support. Crowler and his Ancient Gears. Alexis and her Cyber Angels. The Dino DNA guy. The Dark World/Supreme King arc would have been interesting.
Minor mistake but hundred eyes copies EVERY monster in GY effect in the anime not just one
Watched all twitter thread discussions in last few weeks keep em coming 🎉🎉
I will always get brainrot from the way that Aporia lost in 5Ds, aside from Meklords being just straight up bad, in the context of 5Ds they were downright broken. Yet despite this they had to just let Yusei win last second by nothing more than plot convenience and something that downright unfair, playing the game during your opponents turn. Glad that never came to the game as some sort of mechanic
Okay but Predaplant guy has 1 duel he absolutely should've won,
His board was the equivalent of Royal decree + Mass Driver + Imperial Order + Skill Drain
And 4 other cards to use for Predaplant stuff,
But for the second time in like 10 episodes Yuya wins against a card so hilariously broken that people called mystic mine unplayably bad in comparison through pure plot armor.
In the defense about the issues with Akiza, the writers were kinda backed into a corner. Her Japanese voice actress requested time off since she was getting married, so they had to decrease her prominence to facilitate that.
Ngl 5Ds falls hard in the second half..well compared to the first
They could've just hired another VA.
How come no one mentioned Alexis having DAKINI WITH 3700 ATK, PROTECTED BY MAR and ABLE TO RECYCLE EVERY END PHASE in 2005/06? I mean...BRO
Can we just sit back for a moment and talk about how busted Pegasus' deck is?
- Relinquished and Thousand Eyes Restrict
- Toon monsters that can attack directly in a 4000lp format
- And Toon support cards like: Toon Kingdom, Comic Hand, Mimicat and Toon Briefcase that wouldn't be printed till 2015 but Pegasus is causally using in the GX era.
Let's not forget he could also read minds
Toons didn't attack directly in the anime. They were just immune to everything.
@@marchmelloowbut they could attack directly, I'm pretty sure, on top of their total bullshit
@@marchmelloowThen again, direct attacks just outright were not a thing in Duelist Kingdom
Ishizu had a card in her deck THAT SWAPS BOTH PLAYERS DECKS AND GRAVES. The fact that she ever lost a duel to anyone ever is astounding
Anna Kaboom literally had earth machine and got clapped most of her duels
She only played Trains, though it's _really_ common for fanfiction and "character-theme" decks to upgrade her to full EARTH Machines.
@@nicholasfarrell5981 still, trains were good enough. She played gustav max in a format where de 2k burn is half your life and she still got clapped
