I saw the Talking Heads in November 1980 at the Hollywood Palladium on the "Remain In Light" tour. The English Beat were the opening act. Saw TH six other times between 1978 and December 1983 (The Pantages Theater), "Stop Making Sense" tour, two night out of the four they played. What a great band they were
@@Raymantico I graduated from high school in 1980 and unfortunately never saw the Talking Heads live. But I know a couple people who saw their 1982 tour, which came to the Greek Theatre in Berkeley.
Saw the T Heads in ‘79 @ The Calderone Concert Hall [The Hub] on Long Island. And have seen David on every solo tour since, and then some. This sounds like a BLAST!! Sayreville here I come!!
I was always a Heads fan, and never heard of Belew until his Mr Music head album in late 80s. Had no idea he played on the Original Remain in Light! This is crazy stuff! We are very fortunate to have this talent together and on tour. Thanks!
Per Wiki Belew was a session musician for the album. Pretty evident what his guitar parts are. Plus that’s (sessions) where Tom Tom Club started. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Remain_in_Light
Can't wait, have seen A.B. with the Bears, Bowie and solo twice always an amazing energetic show. Gotta love the Denver/Bolder concerts always bringing in great artists, just wishing it was up at Redrocks. See ya in Bolder! Peace out and rock on!
Just saw the last night of the tour last night @ the Capital. Absolutely fantastic, high energy show and CCC former (Turkauz) were just amazing. What a great, well rehearsed venture into one of my fav bands of all time. So much fun!
Saw them at RoSfest in May 2022 and a mind blowing experience. I think it was the beginning of the tour and all that pent up energy was unleashed on a willing audience. I've seen Adrian a handful of times, and as good as those shows are, add Jerry to the lineup and WOW.
Thank you for sharing! I saw this show last night in Asheville, NC Such a great show! the audience was dancing and singing all night. Towards the end of the set the entire band was dancing! :)
We will see them again this month! Saw them last year and couldn’t pass up this opportunity. The artists I’ve seen more than once on the same tour are as follows; David Byrne, Richard Thompson, Panic! at the Disco and the Remain in Light band. I just love TH.
Thanks for posting this!! They're playing a show in Seattle in May and I can't wait to see them! Have huuuuuge amounts of respect for both Harrison and Belew.
Nice! I was in the pit too. Was this filmed with an iPhone? Did it just automatically try to filter the sound when you zoom, or did you do that in post?
iPhone 14…it was automatic annoyingly. And I only discovered this inconvenience AFTER the fact. Needless to say, it’s a feature I could much do without lol
While you are are in Zoom, before you switch on "Enable Original Sound" you need to go in to your iPhone Control Center and switch the microphone mode from "Standard" to "Wide Spectrum" and then turn on "Enable Original Sound".
While I love Talking Heads, at the end of the day, this is a cover band featuring Adrian Belew and Jerry Harrison. :/ Never liked Turkuaz. They know how to ruin just about any song with way too much over the top orchestration and playing WAY too fast.
Have a look at how the 'real deal' is faring. Looks like he'll do about anything to keep from playing with the Talking Heads ruclips.net/video/hldMkNnbcog/видео.html
@@jamesdrogers I've seen the show you link to above. It's one of the best shows ever. I've seen Byrne a few times, and he always has something interesting and engaging. I adore Byrne's music. As for the other Talking Heads, I'd like to see something new. I've seen Belew a LOT in different incarnations. I have enjoyed him best with King Crimson. Belew is best when he's challenged and focused.
It is worth noting that Jerry Harrison had a much larger role in building the original TH Remain in Light lineup and sound than he is generally credited for. And Belew’s impact was enormous. Give “Live in Rome” a listen and you’ll hear it.
Adrian is a force of nature, he’s like tornado alley
😂 I lived in Tornado 🌪 Alley for 2 years! Hi AlbertDuke! Great to see you here 😉

You lucky SOB !
Saw TH in Buffalo that tour. Had to be a top 5 concert for me. So much fun! I'm seeing Adrian & Jerry in Albany next week. Can't wait!!
I saw them in Bologna, Italy, that same year. Great show. Seeing Jerry and Adrian tonight, 43 years later!
I was at that show....what am era!!! Wall of Voodoo, Oingo Boingo, Peter Gabriel s pre woke the best.....the Sparks....
i saw the original remain in light tour in italy ,in 1980..best concert ever
Saw them tonight at Hardly Stricly. One of the the best shows I’ve ever seen! The entire crowd was going nuts.
I was there too. Incredible energy. One of the best shows of the weekend.
That was the act that almost got me over to GG Park from the East Bsy to see- but I’ve aged out of crowds after 12 years of Hardly Strictly
I did however get to see Adrian & Jerry debut the material in 1980 - one of 5 TH shows I attended

For sure, nobody sound like him, the great curve being the best example, why everyone was after him, bowie, fripp etc

King crimson! Three of a perfect pair. His cover of breathe is great too!

Lost my mind in Columbia, SC! Thought I was just seeing Les Claypool’s FFFB! Got this!!!
Very excited to see this show on tour. AB is the GOAT

Thanks for putting this up. Wasn't sure I was going to go tonight at Starland in NJ. Now it's obvious that I have to go!
Absolutely!!! It’s a GREAT TIME to be had for sure!
I saw you at the flying frog brigade and you were fantastic Columbia the whole band kicked some serious
Great fun!!! Thanks for posting!!! 😇
thanks for sharing this.
woaw ! thanx
Now to watch the Rome concert again and curse Dr.Who for not fixing his bloody Tardis. Fantastic stuff, got goosebumps!
Pre-gaming for the show tonight at the Agora in Cleveland, Ohio!!!
It was an awesome show! I was up in the pit too!
Awesome!!! What side were you on?
Dead middle back of the pit
I will NOT be sitting down in March at the Danforth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was there. Fun show.
💪
The world needs less corrupt politicians and more Sammi Garretts!
Julie Slick should be up Front also...💪
Check out the cover band start making sense! I want to go to this in boston but it would be underwhelming

@@mcgervey I wasn't on the Zoom app. Just using the camera.
If only Byrne would take time to walk on and sing for a minute...
Great concert, but putting commercials in the middle of songs is sacrilege!
Take that up with RUclips, I have no control over that aspect unfortunately.
The RUclips is becoming quite a tyrannical monster
@@dukealbert7017
Only Jerry Harrison was there , not david, chris or tina
@@leliasgamingchannel7166 👏🏽 solid observation there…..
Did Adrian Blew the song pretty pink rose
Only a 90 minute show?
That is disappointing.
They need a David Byrne vocal replacement, to offset Belew's dynamic guitar
Talking Heads should reunite and get Adrien to front. David won’t
they need a more exciting opening number.
Bro it’s psycho killer
@@Noise_H yeah like, wtf
Ply feel they have to play it..mb kind of a warm up...its not even on Remain in Light
