It only took RUclips one PAINSTAKING ENTIRE WEEK to upload the show! But here’s Yes as captured in GLORIOUS 4k from my Sony Alpha A6400 camera with just the stock microphone! The first half was easy to capture, the 2nd half was COMPLETELY BLIND as I held my finger over the viewfinder THE ENTIRE TIME to avoid being seen and had to hope I angled the camera properly! The show is divided into 2 hal...

Credit where due, the initial footage was put together by Hed Gilboa. Be sure to chec...

@@leliasgamingchannel7166 👏🏽 solid observation there…..
Peter Gabriel is the artist and a guy named Phil Collins is the greedy who destroyed this wonderfull Band for money, for his own benefit cause he's the greedy one!
I was at the US debut in Chicago at the DNC venue Auditorium Nov 74' kapow!
I saw that tour they opened for BOC the record companies were fools not to video some of those old concerts on good film
I saw every single show they did in the 1970s starting in 1971. All in St Louis Missouri and there were no better musicians anywhere😮
it took peter a little while to get used to getting bald
Can Utility and the Coastliners awesone.
Overrated
@@michaelbavaro8015 yes, you are sir! 🙂
They are all over the place with there playing . Garage band
To go on tour with out doing proper rehearsal is unprofessional.
Sorry sir u have a lamens ear when it comes to proper music
@@michaelbavaro8015 Sorry you don’t know your music history! Genesis were one of the tightest more well rehearsed groups around!
Just found this. It's amazing hearing how much singing Phil's doing. Especially on Carpet Crawlers you can hear he's already devised the verbal trills and fills he'd end up using when he took over front-man singing. So cool. I had no idea he'd done so much singing on this tour.
The Lamb is simply a masterpiece
Could watch this over and over and over again even without sound (have to be quiet at the moment)...I hear exactly what he's playing anyway God bless you Fishy!🐠👼
Обалдеть
Ty I was there
About time this was upgraded sonically ..it deserves it.
I did the security on the back stairs at Knebworth. I live local, & still do. Worked on a couple more concerts with Artiste services & later Show Sec with an old friend Wal Gore. 1978 seems like a dream now, ... Happy days!!
Masterpiece for sure,I was 14 when first heard this loved them since.
Thank God they stuck it out
Like the man says, he's pieced together little sniglets the best he could. Well done, Sir! It helps my memory to recall the show like it was only recently seen. Epic times. Thanks!
Interesting, I always thought Phil Joel joined closer to when Take Me to Your Leader released. Also I don't mean any disrespect to Peter Furler, but John James was a much more charismatic frontman. Even here, Peter just sorta stands around on the first song while John is dancing around all over the place.
I saw Genesis perform “The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway” at the Masonic Temple in Detroit in 1974. It was my first experience with Genesis and I had no idea who they were. The bassist and guitarist of our three piece band, “Surface”, insisted that I check them out. It was (and remains) an utterly amazing and stunning concert experience that ultimately changed my musical evolution. This is highest order progressive rock.
Muchas gracias por el trabajo. Ojalá algún día se pueda completar el puzzle y tener TFTO al completo. El mejor álbum de YES y unas de las joyas del rock progresivo de todos los tiempos.
To think they played this in its entirety to audiences that had never heard the album yet. Phil still can’t believe they had the nerve. Amazing!
Love the commercial to open.
Sentire PG che canna il lancio di Back in NYC, comunque Super!!!
It's so sad I could never witness this live and all I have is shitty 8mm footage 😭😭
Every now and then they go beyond cadence and hang loose. It’s usually in line with turning the bass up and letting everyone know how Yes can sound!! At 65, all I can say is, much love. What little we have of the above needs some work on, so? So, good luck.
Bob harris really didnt care much for the band it was only after getting to know greg lake personally that he appreciated how hard they worked.
I Seen the show twice and Loved both shows Chris was excellent and right on it with every note. The whole band played & sounded very good. Every time I've seen Yes I was not disappointed.
Pre-gaming for the show tonight at the Agora in Cleveland, Ohio!!!
Weer zo'n mooi nummer.❤😂 geweldig😂
Saw this twice, in August 1978 and then April 1979. Audio-recorded it with a microphone the second time, and kept the tape till i found this video on RUclips. Then i could chuck the audio recording i made back in 1979
Did NO ONE else find it an absolute bs crime that the 3rd and 4th disc of the archive box set was essentially PG re singing the entire concert - this never giving us a RAEL high quality recording of the show with our 24 year old hero? And so THIS video is the Rael true audio we have? WHAT WERE THEY THINKING? Tinkering, tweaking, re-recording, ugh gimme a break. This Audio, IMO, is the best. The fact no one three cameras filmed a show I believe is directly due to the defeatist attitude cause PG was out. Ego. Ugh. In an alternate reality, they continued on and - oh forget it. I'm just glad he lasted as long as he did. I bet PG is a bear to collaborate with. Either way, this was some of most ruthless and dirty Genesis of all time. It is real. It is RAEL!
There's a version of the show from the Archive Box Set with the original vocals and guitar, plus the encore, unfortunately the quality is slightly lower

THANK YOU DUDE!
WOW. IM 58 now, this has been my fave Rush Album all my life and really #1 overALL!!! I LOVE THIS ALBUM!! Are you kidding me..The Necromancer!?
I remember chatting with Chester about the mirrors once (he used to have his email on his page) and he was like “yeah they’re probably in some warehouse now getting collecting dust”. Seeing them up close in the video, they probably really are 🤣
R.I.P, Chris, and Alan. My all-time fav rhythm section.
Super.
😢❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😍🥰😘😘🫂
I saw them in summer of 1980 at the Punch & Judy Theater in Grosse Pointe, Michigan. They played more straight ahead rock than this.
Peter Gabriel's stage presence is magical.
Wow, sounding absolutely superb especially Wakeman’s keyboards.
Alex was criminally underrated! It's not just about speed, but it's what anyone brings up about a guitar player. Alex was as fast and accurate as any 80's speed demon, yet so much more!
At about 28:15, before Bytor, the kid goes, "God, my ears are ringing"! Fantastic video! Thank you for posting! I'd love to hear this tour live, Hemispheres live and Signals live. I can always hope!
These guys are stellar musicians, I am very fortunate to have seen them in this Era. Sadly they dropped the orchestra just before I seen them at CNE Stadium, but the show was still incredible !!! Love ELP ❤️
My absolute favorite band in its many shapes.
The best prog rock album ever.
I'd like to know how this was recorded. It was 1974. It's obviously a bootleg but considering the time it clearly demonstrates the greatness of this band. RIP Keith and Greg.
Undertones were simply brilliant, the number of great (short) songs is something to behold...and its all over in under 40 minutes.I love this concert. Imagine being there 🤯 Thanks
Clearly the video isn’t in sync at all with the music.
Great job, capt. Obvious....I even put that in the description of the video.
