I really can’t believe, there are people complaining about this? Like I got into an argument with someone that said this group shouldn’t be playing this music? Why?.. They’re doing an excellent job and not embarrassing themselves, only keeping the music and legacy of King Crimson alive, with Robert Fripp’s blessing I might add❤️🎸😎👍
You can also tell the haters that Fripp is on record as enthusiastically approving and endorsing this tour.
People will complain about anything these days, jealousy?
@@shawncormier52 Agreed! It’s most likely what you said? They’re jealous as their lives are usually a total failure!
@MrRugbyloosehead I agree 100%. This line up will be incredible with a few more shows under there belt
Can't wait to see them in Connecticut.
@@davereed6651 I wish they were coming close to my town? But unless they have a second leg ,looks like we’re out of luck! But I can still watch them on RUclips ❤️😎👍
KC has always been about Fripp, this is really allowing Belew to reclaim what was so successful about the 80s KC which was his songwriting and performance. Fripp demanded so much from him and he delivered. Belew has always been able to make the most extreme and experimental so much fun and non alienating. Doing this while standing next to the others is just astounding.
so relaxed, this line-up. I wonder why that is.... 😂
@@duncan-rmi Presence of someone and absence of someone else??🤔
These songs go deep into my soul since 1982.........
Adrian is having the best time!
He's been waiting a long time to do this, and for a long time probably never thought he'd be able to recreate those records on stage again.
@@mightymartiancayou could say he's been a waiting man 😅😖
So do we!
Every time I've seen Adrian live he's having the best time
Such a great show last night. Danny was beaming the whole time. Pure excellence. Tony effing Levin, dude....
I can’t wait for this show in Dallas Danny is my favorite drummer and he sounds amazing in this they all do
Belew is having a blast with this shows. He's all smiles and enjoyment.
Ade sure deserves this⭐️
I’d say if there’s one takeaway from this project for maybe some of the younger fans, it’s finding out what kind of a figure in the world of music Robert Fripp is when no less a giant of the guitar than Steve Vai has to come up with simplified versions of Fripp’s guitar parts. Sounding great so far!
Yes I remember seeing Adrian and Bill do this.😊
This one’s going to get tighter as they progress
Already tighter than last night!
@@W1LLi4m_ Yeah that's the thing. It may be not spot on right now but EVERY band needs some gigs before everything falls into place, right? I am curious what it will sound like after say 10-20. These are pretty good musicians remember? ;) And to see Adrian happy is quite rewarding in itself!
@@chrisboon35 🔥
No doubt!
@@chrisboon35 Pretty good musicians????
Wow, Adrian's voice hasn't changed much at all in 40 years. And if this is indicative of this lineups reimagining of these songs I... dig it. Still just as groove-oriented but a tad heavier. Very nice.
Dig it, but don’t bury it.
Such a great version of this song!
ahhhhhh, Carey channeling Bruford is quite something....
Carey used the drum ending of Waiting Man for Opiate back in 1992, and here he is playing the original together with two of the original band, in Bruford's role. I'm sure it must feel amazing!
I hope they would not stop on that. This line-up can definitely make a new record and I’m sure it will be awesome!
At least a live album!
@@GilCloud definitely. Live is a must!
I was at the LA show a few days ago, and this is a PERFECT line up to play this music outside of the original players. I wish they’d become a permanent band after this tour and I’d be at every single show.
Adrian’s such a good drummer!!
Bro, everybody loses their voices with age. Adrian is just as good as in the 80's. Mind blowing.
Thanks for dressing up, Danny.
😂😂😂. He skipped the basketball jersey section of his closet at least.
Adrian's voice so good, damn
Really cool to see, thanks for uploading!
Glad Adrian also brought back the colourful suits
That sounds so good!
Ugh! Man that's good.
At 4:55, Vai & Levin turning Waiting man into a funky bit of awesomeness. Very, very cool
I love beat. Songs sound so good. ... Bb.
What joy…..❤
Adrian is such a content performer. Side note..had a dream I shared a green room with Tony and he was putting shoe polish in his stache.
ProjeKCt Beat... wonderful!!
All hail the gods of rock and roll The twang bar king has returned
Bow and be grateful
Our beloved king crimson is returning
Gratitude is overflowing

💔🎼🌈Hello waiting man “
Fantastic show! Other than 20% of the audience that couldn’t keep their months shut, talking about if the dog is okay at home alone for 5 hours and if the patio furniture will still be on sale at Home Depot tomorrow… 🤦♂️ I loved the renditions of the songs! Everyone delivered!
However, something appeared off with Mr. Vai last night. I pray his health is okay. Perhaps, he’s been burning the late night candles learning Fripp’s parts. He sounded great, but looked like he needs a drip line of plasma and a two day nap.
Meraviglia
Will be seeing them in probably the smallest venue on tour. The Hampton Beach Casino Ballroon in NH in October, 1800 seat venue. Can hardly wait. Can
1147 capacity at The Parker in Ft. Lauderdale 😊 on 9/26
@@vinylanimyl The Rebecca Cohn, Halifax: seating capacity of 1,023
wow
Adrain had Flipp’s blessing on this project.
Yobert Flipp said it was ok to tour?
You forgot that Adrian started out as a drummer..
I didn't. He finally learned guitar while in bed with mono for a long time.
Who forgot?
@@chrispile3878 sorry..I didn’t mean you..I meant the general “you”. Sorry
nope,-
@@DKHolbrook11 10 push-ups please !
Wow, they convinced Danny to break out the polo.
Está bien chida la versión de la rola. Ha vuelto el rey carmesí.
I wish people would shut up and enjoy the show
Darn right. Silly Texans.
yeah the yelling is super-disrespectful in my opinion.
3:50 Run, Danny!!!
@@jamieflowers1493 it was just a joke. I know when they would get to this part of the song in the 80s Bruford would have to run back to the kit, too.
Wouldn't be great if they could take this further.
Yes fripp gave his blessing. It was up to vai and carey to learn the parts. I believe carey did.
Terry Bozzio should be there.
Steve’s guitar is too low in the mix. Otherwize; great.
Adrian is always smiling….
Steve Vai is such an underrated guitarist
How so?
He's usually awful, but here he seems to behave.
very good just wish I could hear steve vai playing lol
You can find Sheltering Sky and Sartori in Tangier here on RUclips. He is pretty spectacular on those tracks. Much better in person though, and if you are a Vai fan and you can go, spring for the VIP ticket and get an up close view of his amazing talent. Also, the merch booth is selling his Passion and Warfare album on Vinal and signed by him. The person sitting in front of me got one and it was a thing of beauty. Really makes you long for the days of Vinal album covers.
So FACKING difficult ! 😲
hope they release some official videos because these iphone based stuff is awful
Have patience, bro. First show!
No, actually a lot of these phone videos are incredibly good.
Really? It's show #1
#2
$225 ticket. .
Okay
600 dollars for a ticket and you had to put up with Hillbillies yee hawing? Nightmare?
6oo dollars for a ticket? Best seats barely over a hundred.
I was third row, paid $157 w/fees. not bad for such a great night of music
Tool sucks.
Belew singing in wrong key at the end
He held his own
No he is not?
@@BigMuggs21 feel free to compare with a recording from the night before, he's too low. that's also why tony doesn't chime in
@@nocturn3579
He probably chose it for a personal physical reason
Sherlock ,-
All noise
To everyone saying this is incredible, all I can say is you're very easily pleased. Hugely underwhelming, rusty, clumsy, rushed. Money talks though hey? If you could ever be in any doubt just how good Fripp is, watch BEAT and you'll soon remember
Link to your videos performing these songs *better* than these guys? The standard you hold yourself to must yield music so perfectly played it’s criminal that you are not sharing your abilities with the rest of us mere mortals
@@federicoresendiz3617 A typically predictable infantile reply. I have a pair of ears. I suggest you clean yours out, sir

@@dangerouskitchen4819are you feeling stressed?
WTF it's happening here? Awful timing, poor performance of every aspect of this song. A good example of why you shouldn't replicate certain things. It inevitably ends in failure!
I think “wtf” is being a bit dramatic, no? “Awful timing, poor performance of *every* aspect of this song.” is kind of over the top as far as criticism goes in my opinion.
That said, I agree that Danny Carey is many incredible things, but he is not a “funky” or “groovey” drummer, and this song in particular is one of the ones that least suit him out of the repertoire.
I think someone like Gavin Harrison, who is also a world class drummer, and played with KC in their last few tours would’ve been able to focus on the timing and feel a bit more than DC did here (even if Gavin Harrison could probably not play DC’s “Chocolate Chip Trip”).
For me this goes to show that even amongst the greatest of the greats they all have specific strengths and “weaknesses” that render their performances unique.
@@federicoresendiz3617 Well, the band isn’t tight together and you can hear that clearly!
This music demands to be perfect, or you lose the sense of it!
When you experience King Crimson's live shows, there is not one note that is out of tune or in the wrong spot. - What is the point of imitating something that is impossible to „BEAT“?
I did not ask them to start this project. I would have advised them against it.
They have turned King Crimson's music into an amusement park and i can’t stand it!
Next time the band will wait for your approval before touring. 💩💩💩
Back before my friend Steve became Adrian, he was a an awesome drummer! Long before he ever played a guitar he was a professional drummer and singer. And I am pretty sure he taught himself to play guitar on the old Gibson acoustic guitar he borrowed from Bobby Dickens. And I'd bet money that he could jump on that drum kit and blow everyone's mind.
This should have happened long time ago
It would have if Covid didn't happen
