I ordered the Velocity Blue FX4, AWD, TOW w/those floor liners and a full size spare. Pretty much same reasons you mention...I have an '87 Bass Tracker and I needed something to pull it with. It's my very first truck and I'm soooo excited that this seems to fit the bill perfectly! Beautiful truck you got there!
Thank you! You are going to love it! With a full week of commuting on the freeway but with some traffic also I averaged 28 mph. I was pretty happy, looking like 450 miles to the tank but still going on it.
I was looking at these as well. All the truck that you need with these gas prices and being able to park it in the garage. I don't pull more than that anyway....its perfect!
Exactly why I got it too! It’s crazy buying it without seeing it first but I absolutely love it. It’s really quick and feels solid like a European car almost.

Very nice unit, I pick mine up tomorrow. Almost exactly the same . Same color, box cover, engine. I ended up getting the lariat trim level. Enjoy

Might have to boss up and get me one, says online it’s capable of towing 4000 pounds.
My boat is approximately 3000 pounds and my Chevy Equinox 2.0 turbo with the 9 speed automatic does okay, but my car weight is approximately 3700 pounds lol 😂 and it’s some how has a capability to tow up to 3500 pounds.
Mine is a front wheel drive, I wish it was the all wheel drive, but honestly I towed my boat for 1600 miles coming back from Texas, and never really felt underpowered.
Either way love that new truck you got, it’s a sweet ride 😎👍🎣🎣

My 2017 Focus did get better MPG after a few thousand miles. The Maverick manual shows 1,000 miles but I'd go at least 500 more then get the oil changed (cheap insurance) then go out and floor it a few times then back to normal driving. Can't wait to trade my Focus in. I can work the Dual Clutch Trans., but even knowing how it should be driven I'd rather have a torque converter type of Automatic.

Sweet truck! You prolly know but in case you didn’t see it the front rubber floor mat wasn’t button downed to the floor
Haha I love that you noticed that. Under the rubber there are the carpeted mats that are buttoned down. I may have to take those out.🤙

I ordered a maverick to replace my 5.4l V8 f150. All I tow is my boat and occasionally a dirt bike in the bed. Time to save some gas money lol
I had that truck also! Back when gas was cheaper in the early 2000’s. Loved it! You will love the Maverick too. It’s surprising fast, such a cool mini truck.
Nice truck! I ordered an XL hybrid in cactus gray. Gonna be months before I get it. Did you get the full size spare? I almost missed it as an option, I would've been pissed lol.

Actually just a 4 cyclinder but turbo. It has the upgraded tow package though

That is getting as good as my 2018 Kona with the 1.6. I am pleasantly surprised with the MPG on the this package. Bigger tires on the FX?which I would have thought less mpg. Maybe the skid plates giving better aerodynamics on the bottom?

First two tanks were around 25-26 but with lots of traffic and driving around town. Last couple days I was commuting with open freeways and I’m at 30 mph average right now!
How is the mpg now? I was wondering if the 4k tow with 3.8 gears that you’d lose a few mpg. Seems not!
@@NarySllim still combined highway and around town is pretty much 27 mpg

28.1 MPG on California gas is actually really good. Do you use regular, mid, or premium? Just curious
Just regular. I’m 10,000 miles in now and it’s still doing really solid on mpg.

Next week is my build for eco awd 4k lux but no fx4 on purpose. Too low profile for real off road and the stickers detract from a clean look. Plus I did not want to give up sport mode on a 250hp engine or have to pay to remove the skid plate each oil change.

I was wondering how much they would charge to remove that plate just to change the oil. Stinks that you lose the sport mode if you chose the FX4 package.
@@kevintorres9928 Yes no sport mode to hold the gears longer takes the fun away from driving a turbo engine.

Has your mpg improved? What are you getting average?
100% highway commuting is around 30 mph, combination is in the mid 20’s. If I tow my boat to the lake 3-4 times in the week it’s around 20 or a touch lower.

Hey man ... I really would love to know what the payload says on YOUR TRUCK for this combo. I have seen the max payload varies and ford does not offer a guide. This combo is how I would like to order mine and Ford simply states it it varies, Well I saw a review of a 2.0 FX4 AWD and he read the sticker and it was only 1200 lbs,. I need 1500 by my calculations for towing my camper and gear. (Fuel Hitch Tanks Batteries and two passengers puts me over 1200)

I had one back in the day but this one is a commuter my bro. 🤙. Hollywood and back everyday. The 1600 isn’t too heavy, this thing is rated for 4000 pounds. It’ll be fine.

ONLY WAY TO TEST MPG IS TO PUT IN 10 GALLONS DRIVE UNTIL GAS LIGHT COMES ON
REPEAT 3X
TAKE AVERAGE = ACTUAL MPG
*TRIP METERS GIVE FALSE READINGS
With my driving style for the last three fill ups it’s been right around 26/27mpg
