They had to make it bigger in order to use the precisionist movement which it's what it has. I love watches I am not a collector so I don't have to have every little thing that came in the box in mint condition. I just purchased a factory refurbished one for $150 nobody knows but me. This watch is not an investment piece just a beautiful thing with a very accurate movement.
Is it possible to have the large red hand as a continuously sweeping second hand? Or is it only active when in chrono mode? I'd prefer it be sweeping around all the time, rather than just stationary. By the way, I did just buy mine today, but haven't received it yet or I'd know the answer to this question already.
Update: Finally received mine the other day. I love it. I'm so tired of hearing that watches are too big. Note that all the people that say that are tiny dudes with small wrists. They're angry because they are too small for the watch. The bigger sizes, 44, 45, 46, 47 do fit many people. People these days are bigger than they were in the 60's, everybody knows that. And, if you're looking for a watch that fits "your" wrist then it will be different for a guy with 8 inch wrists vs. a guy with 6-7 inch wrists. We're talking mm here people. 1 inch difference in wrist size can mean a lot of mm in either direction. When a small wristed man is begging for a 38mm watch, that watch fits his wrists just like the 46mm watch fits the guy with 8 inch wrists. It's 8mm, not even 1 cm, and a cm is much less than an inch. Most of the reviewers seem to be smaller guys, then when bigger guys get a watch we become instantly apologetic and say "I know, I know it's a really big watch, etc etc". Well, that's only to appease the smaller wrists. It's not a really big watch if you are big enough for the watch. Also, I'd hate to spend a lot of money for an expensive watch that I can barely read because the dial is 34mm and everything is packed into that small real estate. I like to see my watch at a glance. Anyway, enough said. I really like this watch. Still have some on Ebay, and there is a reputable seller selling factory refurbished for $159. Knock yourself out. Why not?
@@avantgarde8551 They just released the "surfboard" chrono. I really hope they do the parking meter bullhead. There is an original one of those on ebay for about 4-5k also. Brilliant design.
