This cover inspired my dad to learn to play take on me. He passed away recently due to cancer. Listening to this again I remember before he was ill, when he would sit down with his guitar and play this.

I just thought i could be in a hallmark movie where some troubled person hears me as an old busker on the street but the song i sing portrays his life up to then ,he says i've never seen you before and i say i've been here all the time . He then goes away and everything turns out well, later on goes back to have another chat but the busker isn't there , he asks the owner of the store he was outside and nobody knows who he is talking about , It won't happen but i'm available lol!.

The fact that he sang this song like he literally was in a zombie apocalypse, fighting zombies for hours. You can hear the tiredness of life in his voice. Love it.

I haven't criend properly in like a year but this had me crying my eyes out. I dont know why but in the middle of the song i started thinking about my grandparents (i have only met 1 of the 4, the 3 others died before i was old enough to have a memory, my grandma died when i was 7) and it struck me with some kind of sadness. I haven't criend properly in like a year but this had me crying my eyes out. I dont know why but in the middle of the song i started thinking about my grandparents (i have only met 1 of the 4, the 3 others died before i was old enough to have a memory, my grandma died when i was 7) and it struck me with some kind of sadness. I also started thinking about older people like you in a pandemic and i wanna wish you all the best from the bottom of my heart♥️
