UPDATE: The Kachin state that the aircraft shot down was an FTC-2000G fighter trainer. Photographs of the crash seem to confirm this.
This is not the first time they shot down fighter jets and helicopters. At least 1 helicopter has been shot down before the coup and 1 after the coup. They've been shot down 4 in total. You said FN-6 but there is no clear statement to proof. Yes, may be or not. They do have FN-6 to protect junta force's airstrikes. But in these cases may be they've used .5 anti-aircraft guns. These weapons are common in myanmar ethnic revolution organizations. The only one who will use FN-6 widely is may be WUSA Army. But there is no clashes between UWSA and junta forces.
@@koko_441 Kachin sources personally confirmed to me that an FN-6 was used in the helicopter shoot down. But the FTC-2000G is, as far as I am aware, has not be revealed at this time. Perhaps even engine failure?
@@EdNashsMilitaryMatters Yes, may be i'm not sure. But the jet fell down from the sky without much smoke. I don't think that is an engine failure. The jet might be got some damage from the ground shooting.
@@EdNashsMilitaryMatters By the way, thanks for covering this, bro. Well report😊❤️
Thanks Ed The Myanmar Conflict does not get enough coverage
Thanks for covering what not many others are willing to cover.
As usual, no word of this in the news, but Ed keeps us informed. Thanks for covering this conflict when other sources sadly just can't be bothered.
I did not even know about this war. Thank you for opening my eyes.
Been going on since WW2 off and on, sad
KIA? That's an unfortunate acronym right there
Yet their operations are very successful
nice someone is still observing this. in long term, the region is of china's intrest. one could sideline china sea routes if that becomes a conflict zone.
a great and very interesting video as always Mr Ed.have a good one.
KIA is an unfortunate acronym for a combatant force.
How would you like to belong to an outfit with a name like that?
Thanks for covering this.
Thankyou Ed.
So we now know it was a ftc 2000g from the wreckage
Yes, got confirmation last night but was too tired to post anything. Have added a pinned comment.
Chinese weapons? Perhaps China is hedging their bets over which side will protect and allow expansion of their port/pipeline plans.
Or just pure business transactional purposes: you got money? Okay, you can have this, maybe a black market kind of deal
the weapons origin could be whatever but nearly every bordering country has officers who could be coaxed to sell some for gold and jade.
@@skeletonwguitar4383the group that attacking the junta are long time china back rebel group , like the origin commenter guy say , the Chinese unleash they puppet to secure the oil/gas line and port , even if junta lost and pdf win , good luck taking back those lost territory the Chinese back rebel control. This is quite bad for ASEAN , as the Chinese can play this card again in other country in the future.
Wow KIA needs to chill out and make better cars before they start an anti-aircraft business
Good lord, you can't even say shot? Or is that just an abundance of caution so that RUclips doesn't demonetize this video and isn't shot at in a military video acceptable?
RUclips demonetises videos for certain words.
So, the only time in the last 70 years that "Myanmar" has been at peace was when the British Empire ran the place.
Curious.................
:)
I don’t know enough about the region to know which side China prefers, but surely China must be considering intervention in the region soon? They’ve invested billions in infra projects there
The Chinese are essentially backing anyone who can afford their products and will protect their investments. I'll admit this is a massive simplification, but essentially true.
The 3 rebel Alliance are made up by china back group ( more like puppet ) they current unleash them to secure the oil/gas pipeline and sea port.
Where do you think the Ukrainian weapons have been going to destabilise chinas friend
Fact free nonsense & Kremlin propaganda.
You do realize that this was do with a Chinese manpads right?
@@terrynewsome6698 these weapons could been stolen from the arsenal, or smuggled by corrupt military, corruption is very common in Chinese armed forces.
