UPDATE: The Kachin state that the aircraft shot down was an FTC-2000G fighter trainer. Photographs of the crash seem to confirm this.

This is not the first time they shot down fighter jets and helicopters. At least 1 helicopter has been shot down before the coup and 1 after the coup. They've been shot down 4 in total. You said FN-6 but there is no clear statement to proof. Yes, may be or not. They do have FN-6 to protect junta force's airstrikes. But in these cases may be they've used .5 anti-aircraft guns. These weapons are common in myanmar ethnic revolution organizations. The only one who will use FN-6 widely is may be WUSA Army. But there is no clashes between UWSA and junta forces.

@@koko_441 Kachin sources personally confirmed to me that an FN-6 was used in the helicopter shoot down. But the FTC-2000G is, as far as I am aware, has not be revealed at this time. Perhaps even engine failure?

@@EdNashsMilitaryMatters Yes, may be i'm not sure. But the jet fell down from the sky without much smoke. I don't think that is an engine failure. The jet might be got some damage from the ground shooting.
