The Conductor is looking bit tired , after conduct same concerto over and over, he should have been winner of Chopin conductor's competition !!! He did very good job !!!
Some pianists are better than others, and I do think Cho's playing is excellent, but Eric Lu has a very distinctive musicality that is thoroughly in the spirit of Chopin. His heartfelt love for the musical piece is very evident in his playing. Really a pleasure to listen to.
well done Eric. You've played beautifully the whole competition. The bell-like sonority you get from a Yamaha is just incredible. No doubt your poetic playing will touch many people for years to come.
Eric Lu is nothing less than a God. Period.
I felt in love with this beautiful Chopin concerto 45 years ago and had listened to many pianists interpretation but with Eric Lu version, I’m at peace !No need to search further ❤❤❤
The magic that i saw in Eric Lu 6 years ago (see my comment below) has become even more magical. Ok Seong-Jin Cho and Richard Hamelin were superb pianists but Eric Lu is the one I now listen to whenever I can. If you google the big piano competitions and their winners, you will note that half of the winners have disappeared without trace. The lesser placed are now the recognised names. If a pianist has real musical talent it will develop. If they are just parrots taught by their teachers, they will never be anything more than they are at the competition. I can cite Andras Schiff and Mitsiku Uchida - today's legends but not yesterday's winners.
It is a mystery how Eric Lu received fourth prize. He deserved at least second prize!
Omgosh, he is so poetic with his playing. Every note and tone is divine. And only 18. What a competition. Glad I wasnt the judge and such a shame he wasnt in top 3. It is so cruel to have to rank something as special and magical as this. He is another winner in my heart.
His hands float over the keyboard, no banging, a very light touch, very refined technique. Let's hope he gets a recording contract.
His playing is so beautiful! He clearly deserved one of the top 3 places in this competition. Not to tell that the other 3 didnt deserve it, but imo they should have given kate liu 2nd place with Hamelin, giving Eric a 3rd price.
This is one of the aesthetically most beautiful filmed concertos I have ever watched. I just wanted to mention that so the filmers can be appreciated too. It is quite an important factor imo.
This is fantastic. The conductor strongly approves at
"The Force is strong with this one..." Incredibly talented guy.
The most natural and pure Chopin Concerto.. Absolutely beautiful
Eric - Frederic's Poland loves you, thank you!!!
Eric Lu brings heaven to earth..he makes music..he breathes music..
I love how poetic Eric is! So beautiful.
I should add that the conductor is wonderful - a real partnership.
Indeed, we'll all remember his extraordinary beautiful colors forever. Eric is extremely musical.
Необыкновенно одухотворённая игра Эрика! Полёт фантазии и филигранная виртуозность этого парня поражает воображение! Браво , Эрик!❤🎉👌🙏🙏
