I was Watching one of Wayne Henderson's Video's the other day , And His Daughter Does all of his Inlay work , which is Exstravegant all through the neck and Head plate ! But she makes their Purfling and Binding ! And also makes their Pickguards with Epoxy ! She's Made several Molds for strips & Pickguard shapes ! Like for a Tortoise shel look , she simply pours the transulsent lighter Brown , and the a drop of darker Brown and swirls a tooth pick to create the Tortose shell look !
Both videos were very informative, and I will be making the jig you demonstrated once I get a thickness sander. Have just found your site; will be watching regularly now. Thanks very much.
Thanks. Do you use shellac where the filler strips are removed prior to using the ca? Or is it not necessary since the purfling and bindings were already glued in with titebond?
There's no end to what a creative, skilled and pragmatic artisan can do! Great stuff, Kevin.
Thank you! I hope to produce more and better content going forward.
A good presentation of useful information and techniques - as usual. Thank you for sharing, Kevin.
Thanks for your encouraging comment. It is much appreciated.

Thanks for watching. As ideas come up, I will continue to produce more presentations.
That was a really good looking bale of hay!
I eat one of those every day at dinner, followed by a salubrious serving of protein.
@@thepragmaticluthier It appears to be working for you!
Thanks a lot for the great tips Kevin!
What kind of glue works best with this acrylic material?
Titebond works very well, but I prefer any good Cyanoacrylate.

I thought maybe once in a while you would get a bowl of oats.
Not much oats, but that hay bail is followed by some lean clean protein and we're good to go:)
