Hello Everyone,
Today we are presenting to you, what is considered, by a lot of locals, as the best parade of the Mardi Gras season. This parade is the Endymion parade, from the Krewe of Endymion! This parade has some of the largest floats, massive video screens and is the prettiest light show of Mardi Gras! It is an amazing experience, that is one of a kind and naturally New Orleans! This Is what we call New Orleans LARGEST BLOCK PARTY!
In addition, the 2024 Endymion parade will be very special to their members and faithful followers, who look forward to the Mid-City parade each year, as they dedicate it to their founder and Captain, the late Ed Muniz. For 57 years he remained the longest-serving Captain in Mardi Gras history. Ed’s forward thinking and innovative accomplishments led Endymion to be declared, “Mardi Gras’ Main Event.”

The theme of the 2024 Endymion Parade is “Silents Are Golden”. Signature floats include Papa Joe’s SS Endymion, Club Endymion, The ETV Float, which beams live crowd shots on a gigantic 20’ x 9’ LED screen, and the largest float in Mardi Gras, at over 300 feet long, the Pontchartrain Beach, “Then and Now” carrying 270 riders.

Endymion rolled for the first time in 1967 and, oh my, how we’ve grown!
Endymion is one of only three Super Krewes, and with upwards of 3,000 riders, it is by far the largest parade with the largest crowds in Mardi Gras! Endymion features 37 floats. Many are tandem units with up to nine sections, meaning Endymion rolls on over 80 chassis! The motto of the Krewe is “Throw Until it Hurts” and we toss over 15 million throws along the parade route!

Parade is Saturday February 10th @ 4:15
We begin at 4:15 on Orleans Avenue with Samedi Gras which may well be the world’s largest block party! More than 40,000 Mid-City residents gather with food, beverages, friends and family to welcome us and help kick off Mardi Gras’ Main Event!
Endymion rolls on the Mid City route and features several signature floats. Our newest float, Club Endymion is a tribute to our home - the Mercedes Benz Superdome. The ETV float beams live crowd shots on a gigantic 20’ x 9’ LED screen. And Pontchartrain Beach, Then and Now is the largest float in Mardi Gras at over 300 feet long with over 250 riders and nine sections!

The Krewe of Endymion announces the entertainment for Mardi Gras’s Main Event, The Krewe of Endymion Parade and Extravaganza. The Super Krewe will roll down the streets of New Orleans and into the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center for the mega-party on Saturday, February 10, 2024, featuring performances by 17-time Grammy Award winner Sting, Flo Rida, The Mixed Nuts, Groovy 7, and The Wiseguys, according to Dan Kelly, the captain of Endymion

Nothing like Endymion. Growing up as a kid, it was my favorite parade. I lived right across the street from Ruth's Chris Steakhouse behind the KFC on Broad Street. That was our spot every year until they changed the route. I miss it all. I miss my city.

We are always so excited to see the seniors as well! A lot of them have been doing the parade thing for at least 8 years! It truly has been a major part of their lives, and if they are not doing the band or the other disciplines that make up a schools marchers! Thank you from West Virginia. Love Mardi Gras, glad to see good parades. Actual question: Is Mardi Gras always celebrated for such a long time? From January 6th to Shrove/Fat Tuesday?
You are so welcome! We glad you are enjoying the content! To answer you question, the Carnival season is from Jan 6th, all the way to Shrove/ Fat Tuesday! The timeframe between January 6 and fat Tuesday varies every year, so sometimes you would have things more spaced out. For example, next Mardi Gras will be March 4 and ask such there is enough time to sneak a Super Bowl in that gap! So next year will be nuts, but we will be here for it! This year everything was super compact, but we were still here for this as well lol. Anyways we hope this answers your question, thank you very much and have a wonderful day!
This was a great video, the way I personally like it! Great angles and lighting, and no personal talk during filming. I do love that there were a couple of check-ins and info provided! I have a quick question. Multiple people recognized your camera and filming. Do you wear something that indicates it’s being filmed for RUclips?

Thank you for the complements on this video! When it comes to your question. We do not have any clothing on saying that we are filming for RUclips. Other creators wear clothing to indicate what they are doing, and we think that its a great idea! In our case, we just don't! Honestly, this Mardi Gras season has been eye opening for us, because the work we put in on RUclips, people are just recognizing us from this content. Just last night on bourbon street, we had a guy ACTUALLY cry meeting us (Full video coming VERY SOON!). The reaction to us has had us flabbergasted on all fronts, truly nothing we ever expected! We are just so thankful and blessed to have someone click on a video, let alone some of these wonderful reactions! Anyways, before we go on an even bigger rant, truly THANK YOU for watching, and keep being awesome!
