    A buddy of mine is a fence contractor that does primarily iron and wood......he asked me to come in and do his vinyl for him back in the '90's when vinyl was new to the fence game......seems like I did miles of it it.....T&G panels with lattice privacy sections on top, picket and rail styles, short, tall, walk through and driveway gates of vinyl....if someone wanted it we did it....we used both concrete set posts and steel posts with mounting collars.....I think I still have the special tool that's used to make dimples that lock the rails to the posts.....we also had special fast set adhesive for repairs and crack filler......it was all high end work back then due to the cost......side note.....vids are great, only negative is your music needs to be toned down so it doesn't wake the neighbors at midnight when I'm watching these.....

    You guys should try finding a vinyl fence system with pipe and collars which the vinyl post slides over it. I install fence in Canada and that’s the system we use you concrete the pipe or pile drive them in and then put two collars which secure to the pipe the vinyl post slides over and it makes the system adjustable especially if repairs are needed later.

    What issues occur if you set square and elevation, dig holes, install fence complete, poured concrete, plump the posts and done. No need to cut verticals (except for next to the corner posts). Plus you can make adjustments and ensure it looks perfect before the concrete point of no return step.

    • @dock_yard1149
      @dock_yard1149 Год назад +2

      Yeah!! I don’t get how lining the fence exactly half way between houses was chosen? That’s hardly ever the true property line between homes! You HAVE to respect the true property lines, either via new survey or by getting the lot map on file with the municipality. Was splitting the distance between 2 homes agreed to by both homeowners on both sides?? It’s STILL a poor choice and might cause difficulties in future property transactions, for any of the 3 homes along the fence. Please explain why and how this “simple split” was decided.
