Ty
Excellent work as usual. Concrete, block work and now fencing
Thank you, we try to do the whole package for our clients
@@OdellCompleteConcrete thank you Dave. In later videos will you walk through how you will bring up the sub-grade on the bottom of the fence. Concrete or dirt? Thanks so much
Yes
TY
This is perfect timing. I'm doing a vinyl 8ft fence and 3.5ft gate this week. Thanks for the video and tips!
Good luck!
Another neat demo of how to get it right.
Great crew work !
Looking forward to the next one
Thanks for the content and Cheers boys 🍻
Ty for watching! Cheers
Hell yeah. Crack open a beer and enjoy another quality Odell Concrete renovation. I've been waiting days and days for part 2. This looks like HB?
Yes it is HB 😁
Fast set red bag, awesome tip, no waiting overnight to dry.
Exactly 👌
A buddy of mine is a fence contractor that does primarily iron and wood......he asked me to come in and do his vinyl for him back in the '90's when vinyl was new to the fence game......seems like I did miles of it it.....T&G panels with lattice privacy sections on top, picket and rail styles, short, tall, walk through and driveway gates of vinyl....if someone wanted it we did it....we used both concrete set posts and steel posts with mounting collars.....I think I still have the special tool that's used to make dimples that lock the rails to the posts.....we also had special fast set adhesive for repairs and crack filler......it was all high end work back then due to the cost......side note.....vids are great, only negative is your music needs to be toned down so it doesn't wake the neighbors at midnight when I'm watching these.....
Cool
Ty
man, vinyl looks fun to build
A fun Lego set
Loving this series guys.
Ty, just going to get better from here on 👍
An ant-graffiti coating might be useful.
Most excellent vid as always 🍻
Good idea and Ty
Great job fellas!
Ty
Best intro ever!!! 🎉
Ty
This is my favorite RUclips show to watch.
Ty
❤❤❤💪💪💪 Welcome back Tim!!!
Oss
Loved the intro! LOL David your boys are really developing some skills...Great crew and loved the auger up too high...I usually put 3 guys running that thing...makes me a little sad though...my wife got rid of her bushes...I miss them...😒😒
Thanks 👍I hear that, at least they grow back
I've seen other fence guys use the concrete that you pour dry & ad in water, no mixing...I don't like NOT mixing, what do you think ??
Also, is vynal more or less expensive as wood ?
More then wood less then block.
It's best to mix the concrete
Always wanted my own Mariachi band playing while at work lol
Great job. Looks good
Thank you! Cheers!
Love the guitar! Great work as always!
Ty
Didn’t have to watch the video to drop a like on it because that is a great thumbnail.
Ty
I love that look of the fence. Awesome 😎
Ty
Lefty playin flip.... noice.
Yeah not an easy thing to do
Excelente y muy hermoso trabajo felicidades 👊 👏💪👌🏻
Ty
Thank you very much! That is a really great instructional video!!
Yw
Nice job great information
Ty 😎
Muy hermoso.
Ty
Cool intro 🤺🗽
Ty having a little fun on the job 🎸
I've got the exact same fence from home Depot. One thing different I did though was the I bought an aluminum I beam from Lowe's made to be inserted. I used it for the gate posts to make them sturdier and give the hardware screws something to bite on
Good idea
Ty
I've never seen anyone put screws in the channels. You put the channel on the and of the piece and just side it down. I have to dig into it some more, but I'm fairly certain you don't need screws.
There is screws on the inside of post
I am waiting for the continuation of the video on this work,
Good luck !
Coming soon!
You guys should try finding a vinyl fence system with pipe and collars which the vinyl post slides over it. I install fence in Canada and that’s the system we use you concrete the pipe or pile drive them in and then put two collars which secure to the pipe the vinyl post slides over and it makes the system adjustable especially if repairs are needed later.
Interesting
Ty
Perfecto el guitarista, primera vez viendo una fence de PVC/vynil. Where I live everything is build in wood.
Bien profesional el video, gracias, se ganaron la orchata o la vironga.
Todo
Instead of putting a screw I know it will be capped but command strip hooks works really well on parts when the screw hole would be noticeable
Ty
I've never seen a vynal fence before... I wonder if they would last here in Phoenix... I know Vynal Windows have issues in the summer time when we reach 120+. I can see a vynal fence just slouching over like its melting...
I think it would blow down in AZ.
Not good in freezing weather either.
Water gets inside it and freezes, the vinyl explodes.
Nice.
Ty
What issues occur if you set square and elevation, dig holes, install fence complete, poured concrete, plump the posts and done. No need to cut verticals (except for next to the corner posts). Plus you can make adjustments and ensure it looks perfect before the concrete point of no return step.
Great work ! Great video, tgank you ,
I have a question I'm planing to do a vynil picket fence, using 8 ft panels, how do I make sure, the distance is exactly 8 feet between posts,.so it wont be too short or too long.
I haven't figure that out yet!!
Thank you
Did you figure it out? I was wondering the same thing 😁
Loved the intro
Me too
Ty
Is vinyl fencing currently cheaper than wood ?
Depends on the wood you choose
Does vinyl = easier maintenance?
@@CarloTheSkunk probably depends on if you do maintenance.
@@CarloTheSkunk I have the exact same fence and I just dona light pressure wash... No need to wipe dry
better than netflix!
I concur
Upside down guitar playing! 😮
BONUS!
Bingo
How far are the hole for post
Вы, американцы, молодцы. Я, русский, смотрю ваши видео, и восхищаюсь. Я ваш поклонник!!!!
TY
[music] Sit back. I shall tell you a tale of a mason named oooohhhhdel
Oss
Man, that guy in the beginning rock'n out on the acoustic guitar, he looks famous! Wait a minute, that's your son...he was trying to fool us!
Bingo
Wait... upside down? That's actually quite impressive. 😅
You have to do the survey first is what I know
Not if the neighbors agree on the property line agreement form
Yeah!! I don’t get how lining the fence exactly half way between houses was chosen? That’s hardly ever the true property line between homes! You HAVE to respect the true property lines, either via new survey or by getting the lot map on file with the municipality. Was splitting the distance between 2 homes agreed to by both homeowners on both sides?? It’s STILL a poor choice and might cause difficulties in future property transactions, for any of the 3 homes along the fence. Please explain why and how this “simple split” was decided.
@@dock_yard1149 I just went off how it was prior
@@OdellCompleteConcrete ok I see
Any way looking good guys 👍🏻
Hi where is David ? We dont see you , we love your vidéos David here in france i learn many thing watching your channel
Hi
I'm here
Mr. Tim, I came across your vinyl fence for beginners' video, which came out great.... at the beginning of the video, you explained that you ran the fence right in the middle of the 2 houses. Don't you need to run the fence on the property line for the lot? Just curious....
Yes p.l. works
You still have to plumb btwn the posts so your fencing slats go in parallel to the posts.
For sure
How much did you charge for this job? I'm looking to upgrade my fence. i'm in Santa Ana and you pour concrete on my driveway.
Contact odellcompletelandscape@gmail.com
Did you check the property lines ?
No, everyone signed p.l. agreement
Fuking awesome. More stabila please.
OSS
Unfortunately, any new fence is a canvas for graffiti. I wonder how long that vinyl will last? It looks really nice.
IN Southern CA. 40 years
the other neighbor who still had wood fence at the canal i would guess you guys put a 4x4 post there to put his fence back solid (to the right side of the vinyl fence line looking from the front of the property)
For sure
OSS
What is the price difference between wood versus vinyl?
Vinyl is a little more
I know this project went well. That said, this is a good time for a PSA to call the utility companies to mark the property and avoid hitting any utility pipe.
The whole cutting rails and stuff..does that mean you lose a true 8ft wide each fences!?!
No
I love how this looks, but everywhere in my area I see these fences go up and then a week later the middle slats will be knocked out. Makes me wonder if they don't have a lot of longevity, or if the people installing them did so wrong.
There not very strong.
If the wind picks up, a branch falls, a soccer ball, you may have some damage
@@OdellCompleteConcrete Ahh that makes sense then.
Nice work guys. Are these UV coated or do they go brittle over time in the sun?
Uv protected
If you would have not cemented the post first you wouldn’t have had to cut any of the pieces. They would be free standing and you could connect all the pieces without cutting them. Then lay the cement after.
True
heh, its always a party when mexican music comes on
OSS
You should never cut vinyl posts, they are designed a certain way, dig the hole deeper. Also I dig mine at 30 inches to put 6 inches of pea gravel in the bottom for drainage
Those post came 42 inches long so you would still have cut the excess off for 30 inch holes.
Why not flush the bottom to the ground to avoid critters coming into the property?
This dudes videos are bullshit non of what this whole team of guys is doing is for beginners nor is it DIY
@@donnawest5183 your ground would have to be perfectly level, wouldn't it?
Lego experience required!
For ages 5+
👍👍👍👍👍
What is your distance from post to post center ? I’d assume 8 feet ?
6
Would Vinyl last ok with the sun and not become brittle ?
Uv protected
Looks great but little too high all in all great work
TY
I live in an HOA in sw florida. we lost our fence in hurricane lan. 4000 feet of vinyl fence identical to what you are using right there. 6 feet tall. HOA wants to pay a local fence company 225k dollars to put in all new. that's about 500 posts at 8' OC to set and fence. you want to come to florida? we only have an occasional alligator to deal with.
Build different and it won't happen again
So every post gets filled to the top with concrete?
No not every post just the ones that were holding the gate up
First
Winner 🔥🔥
Where do you get the channels from?
Mexico
that first 30 secs to the intro was a funny tranzish 0:27
Ty
👍
I think the fence is too high . Critters can get underneath the fence. It looks nice though
How much was it for the fence?
5000
👍👍💪🤠
What city is this in?
Fountain Valley
👍🇺🇸
😂😅😂😂. Dear God in heaven… Smdh… but you guys gotter done! With a myriad doing to much and to little from task to task…. First being the cut post… that’s just giving up! Post hole diggers on the end of fenceman and he’d had them holes down…. Ever how long or hard it may had been. Whoever was on that post hole digger at the end was anemic…no ass! lol.
I never used the paddle mixer, but that thing works pretty good…. I’m most industrial chain link, so I get a truck…. I’m sure you have good laugh at me trying to get the tops domed for water shed
A plastic fence... cheaper than block I suppose.
yes
"for beginners" lol... That's an extremely professional job
Legos
Would a block wall been cheaper
No
How do you cover the hole under the fence?
Papers and concrete
That post hole digger brand is trash. Get the one with black fiberglass handles at home depot instead. Also Lowes has a steel handle one.
TY
Sorry. OCD thing. You install a fence you're not building a vinyl fence unless you're manufacturing the fence. Again...Sorry
Isn’t it kind of both?
Build, install sounds about the same
Did all the neighbors pitch in on the fence?
No
I don’t like the gap in the bottom the bottom rail has to touch the ground
Not a good idea
How do you determine the height of the lower string?
Depends on the height
@@OdellCompleteConcrete looking to do it. But I’m worried about the height from bottom of fence to ground. It’s about 100ft. I like the top string in this video.
