this is the best voice acting ive seen in anime dubbing in a WHILE wow! i feel like most are so rushed now with so many being produced so this is nice :)

@@Milk-ck1wv true, movies always get better directing... I think the main problem with anime dubbing nowadays is that there's more anime than ever, but most of the voicework is done by the same people, so their resources are spread thin and projects don't end up getting the attention they deserve.
Except for everyone saying "Ko Soo Kay" instead of "KO-skay," the actual pronunciation of this name.
@@catsuperior it could be a language thing? usually names are pronounced differently from one language to another. my name in my native language has a different emphasis than when people say it in english too. but maybe thats not the case here this is just an assumption on my end lol
@@e.9874 Probably a simple misunderstanding. We'd romanize this name like this: Kosuke. Most English speakers would see the U here and think you're meant to pronounce it, but it's a fast sound in the native Japanese. So "suke" = "skay" always. :) You barely pronounce the U at all.

Just saw this movie and it was a rollercoaster ride. It doesn't go as far as to tug at your heart strings but there were plenty of times it became pretty emotional. I really liked the bond between Souske and Natsume and their grandpa. Their complicated feelings towards each other was the driving force of the movie. I really like the character of Yuzuru maybe because he shares the VA with one of my favourite characters Deku. Taichi was also pretty good. I was surprised that I didn't hate Reina even though she was really rude. I liked her little story with her dad. I like that Noppo as a character was mysterious even though the movie did hint earlier about his character. As for the negatives I think the movie felt a bit lengthy. They could have easily trimmed down the movie by half an hour. Some of the decisions they make is stupid considering they act pretty smart initially but I can let that slide since it's more of a character flaw rather than a movie flaw. Also they don't really explain how the building drifted away but leaves it up to the viewer. I wouldn't mind an explanation but I guess leaving it vague makes it better. Overall I enjoyed this. 7/10

Such a W movie... rollercoaster of emotions, but I love it so much, the message is so powerful and I love the animation and story so much! Def a must watch, one of the best movies I've seen this year ❤❤❤

@@theawesomebat1244 I know, right? All she did was complain and say that it was all Natsume's fault. It was Reina's choice to go to the apartment. Whenever she was on screen, I would talk about how she looks like her hairline would look like the McDonald's logo. She's just complaining because she wants to blame somebody. And oh yeah, she's rich.

That’s what I said. Reina decided to go to the apartment (despite Natsumi saying no) because she heard Kosuke was there and all of a sudden, Natsumi gets treated as if she was Sheldon Cooper or JarJar. Btw, I thought movies would’ve grown out of the “spoiled rich kid” archetype. Not to mention that she doesn’t contribute anything to the plot.

I really liked the English voice acting for this movie, I felt like it captured the characters very well, all except for Noppo. Bro I hated Noppo because he just came off as too monotone and creepy the whole movie, like he had no personality and he sounded nothing like a kid. Then when I switched to Japanese to see what his voice sounded like, it was more like soft and shy. They completely missed the mark with his voice in the English dub
Even in Italian Noppo has a voice that is too adult for him.

Sadly, I think this movie is very much held back by the fact it does a very poor job at explaining the supernatural phenomenons. Shame, I would've given it a much better score if it hadn't, but this is a 5/10 for me.

This movie was undoubtedly great but I feel like it just suffered from now enough time, we barley got to learn any thing about the main cast (I didn’t even catch most of there names) and know close to nothing about the grandpa, I feel like it could have been a lot better if it was a short series more like erased, idk though.
