@David Shull, Very familiar with Obion County. Reelfoot area. Brett and Abbey come home every year at Christmas time. Year 2018 he and some of his friends he grew up with got together and played at our Local Moose Lodge. What a hell of a turnout that was to get to see some of those I grew up with and some I even babysat with. Last year his son Sawyer played the drums tuning in to ACDC!! What a "Killa"!! Sawyer is also on RUclips. Check out his Quarantine Video. A job well done.

It's been about stuff like sex for hundreds of years. Even in the Renaissance when they sang madrigal music they had songs about sex. It's just about what you listen to and with age comes maturity so you start noticing radio music getting worse as you get older, but in reality it still has the same attitudes as it did even in the 80s.

This is probably one of the most unappreciated rock ballads of the 2000s I had this album and I listened to this song on repeat for the first year I had it great track really tugs on the heart strings
If you've ever dealt with someone close to you going through addiction, this song hits different. Perspective changes everything so damn dramatically, and sometimes you wish it could go back to the innocence you had once known, but you can't unknow what you know. Can't unsee what's been seen. Then.... everything changes. It's so fucking lonely to be surrounded by people who all want to push forward, and all you want to do is go back. It's a private hell, except you are the only person in it. If eyes are the window of the soul, my words would be a window to my my mind, or would it be my heart? Is there anything left of it? Here's whoever reads this bull shit, a glimpse into the window of my pretentious misery. Misery that was not mine. Misery that I inherited unwillingly, twas bestowed upon me. They said they loved me, and then gave me this... Misery, and a whole bunch of fking Perspective.

You can go on blaming the mentally ill for not being "as strong as you" or whatever - but its complete and utter nonsense. Do you tell diabetics to just stop having high blood sugar or people with cancer just to get over it and stop whining?
Well its the same thing, its an illness, think what you will, but the reality is you feel better blaming the mentally ill for their own problems, because that means that a "strong, real man" like you will never get it. Keep dreaming something as simple as a concussion can completely change your personality.
I listened to this song often growing up. I always thought it was great. Life can be difficult, dark and painful. I struggle with depression. It is hard to not feel like every day is a bad day for me. I play music like this and it reminds of when I was happier. and I hope to feel better and find more good days ahead. this music makes me feel like things are not so bad after all, and that life can still be beautiful, despite the pain and the sadness

Fuel is the best, I've haven't heard them after Brett left but I can't imagine anyone equaling or surpassing his powerful and emotional singing. Not just his singing but in the video his facial expressions as well. He puts "singers" like Steven Tyler to shame. Brett puts his heart and soul into the lyrics, and can't neglect the superb songwriting and musicianship they put into their music.
You got that right about Brett's powerful and emotional singing definitely puts Steven Tyler to shame. I haven't heard them since he left. He's irreplaceable.

Got to see Fuel live last weekend. Forgot they sang this song tbh. Loved every second of seeing them preform. It was a small venue also, so It was front row bliss. Got his set list and shook his hand. Very cool guy.

This song is one for the ages!! I love how the lead singer in the video holds the note in his fingers at times, seems to crush it at times, and seems to throw it at times.. Beautifully done - It compliments the lyrics and the pain and frustration we all feel at times dealing with a 'bad day' or sadness or tragedy in our lives..

I cry every time I feel like throwing the towel In. Single mom 2 kiddos ages 5 and 19 bo parents lost them at the age of 20 and 25. Not easy but i have countless nights when i feel like running. Never do though because it's ok for people to have bad days , just have to remember that we are hear for a reason. Anyone struggling with that decision trust me dont give up on whatever you are going through. ❤

I don't think you want to hear the new stuff. It sucks imo. The problem is Brett is doing all the songwriting now and Carl Bell is no longer in the band to influence the songwriting. Carl Bell used to do all the songwriting when he was in the band. The magic has worn off because Carl Bell is no longer around. Their new stuff is a totally different flavor of music and imo nothing special.
