Its so beautiful and sweet they way she describes her as the lady in red when everybody else’s clothing are boring… And she was truly the light of that home
"The Lady in Red" is also a classic reference, as seen in the titles of old films, songs, paintings, generally meaning a woman who bursts out from the scene, but the theme song makes it literal...Fran is literally wearing red lol
When you watched Nickelodeon and left the tv on to long and you heard this song you knew it was time to go to bed 😂😂😂

Man i remember whatching this serie with my mom at probably 7:00 am, i was 9 yo, im now 13 and i decides to watch it again, the music gives so much nostalgia, and describes perfectly the personality of Fran

I have not heard this song in about 10 years...... the memories of my family all together watching this show and laughing... now half of my family who used to watch it is gone... it's good to have these memories come back to you like that.
i remember this is the 90's too, i'm 37 years old now and i suffered terribly form poor health ;( (Over the 2020 - not the coro-virus) i find myself watching the intro's of tv shows like this. I am sorry about your family, i hope things get better for you.

I remember listening to the opening of this show, fighting to keep my eyes open. It would play for a couple minutes and I’d barely hear it, all snuggled up in bed. My Mom would slip through the door and turn off the tv. She’d tousle my hair and wish me good night but I’d be too sleepy to respond. Simpler times. I love you so much Mom.

👍Yeah, same for me. I also do this for Better Call Saul, Breaking Bad, [seasons 1-12 of] ER, King of the Hill, Law & Order, Malcolm in the Middle, Married... with Children, The King of Queens, and The Simpsons. All of these TV shows have intros that are too good to just skip over every time.

I grew up not having cable or satellite TV, so we only got to see shows like these in our vacation hotel rooms.
As a result, I associate certain theme songs with rest and relaxation, such as this one and "Thank You for Being a Friend."
My mother is watching this in her room as I type this. I haven't seen this show or heard this theme since we moved into this house back in 2000.

When I was a kid, I absolutely refused to watch just about anything that wasn't a cartoon. So when this show came on, I'd just watch the intro, then change the channel XD

I’ve rewatched The Nanny like a bajillion times now. Lol memories of watching this show on CBS in the 90s when I was a little kid and not understanding any of the jokes. I even remember when the animated Christmas special originally aired 🤣 I always loved the way they do the conga line to the beat of the music 🤣

GREAT blend of very funny dialog, hilarious slapstick, wonderful scripts, & the perfect combination of characters! So fun! The sequel however was a HUGE sad disappointment! 20yrs later divorced!! That was NOT the image anyone wanted to have of once loveable Nanny & Mr Shefield!

@@tevinrittenhouse6012 I think he wrote this thinking the show Happily Divorced, which also starred Fran as someone named Fran, was a sequel to The Nanny. They're two separate shows, though a few actors from The Nanny have made guest appearances as different characters.
Happily Divorced was definitely NOT a sequel to the nanny. In happily divorced the ex-husband ended up being gay and can’t afford to move out so they continue living together. The gay ex-husbands name was Peter Lovett and hers was Fran Lovett. And it was loosely based on Fran Drescher‘s real life

I love this show when i heard the song as a kid i got excited to hear the Broadway/jazzy style of that musical selection but i always thought they would show a cartoon version of this video maybe in the near future but the ladies who are singing are sisters wish we had more of this the 90s were something else i tell ya
