Hello. So i've taken a look on your channel and you have very good content. Wish 10 years back Jailbreak was that easy. I was wondering if there is anything i can do to unbrick my slim PS3 without an E3 flasher. The way it bricked was by installing a crappy MFW build i made 9 years ago to make me feel like a hacker / developer. Wish i wasn't so childish back then. Let's assume that i have the nor backup somewhere. Is there anything that can be done? I'd love to play BO2 zombies again. Thank you in advance!

the power up procedure mode (holding the power button for a longer period of time) to enter safe mode does not work reliably on some (slim) models.
I wouldn't mind a video covering how go about doing firmware updates once we've already got CFW or HFW
He answered this already in another reply. You just need to skip to the update part using a usb with the newer update.
When I load patch via http nothing downloads. I followed all the steps. What happens if I load patch from file or download patch file ?

I got some trash menus on mw2 and bo1/2 zombies right now. All I want is the elite mossy patch for mw2 again lol something on that level and something to have fun on zombies with.
Bo2: Nightmare menu doesn’t work on transit but does on town, project iconic v3 freezes my game upon loading

Get crystal v2 for mw2 it has loads of options included an ai zombie survival
For bo2 just get the kmz mod loader
Same for gtav theres a couple good ones out there
Bo1 and bo3 are a bit tough for some reason cant really help you there
No application data found my ps3 is CEX and safe mode it says Error code 8002F2CF
I just did the MD5 check copy and pasted the info the box doesnt say same literally shows it blank

at 10:45 you said the right most usb port, but does this apply for the A01 with four ports? So should it be the 2nd port for the A01, or the 4th port?
Right-most….. the 4th port is further right than the 2nd port.
Ive done everything right until the part of flash memory backup, my usb drive didnt show up on that tab :(

If you search, there have been problems with downloading flash memory patch for over 4 years. At the moment, April 2024, it won't download at all. The file should be nofsm_patch_491.bin

When i go on it. In the debug messages theres a red erorr that says "system time settings check error. Pleaee adjust your systems clock"

quick side note for the safe mode update install: use an official controller, it will NOT work with most 3rd party controllers

idk fs but i messed up my jailbreak like 2 years ago and i got that folder and same problem, i think its for cfw and if it errors sum is wrong but if ur too lazy i'd just avoid using it

@@Th3Dave I think it requires soldering something on to your PS3 to flash it. At that point. It's probably easier to just get a new PS3, anyway.

Hello,I want to mod my PS3 slim,is the good version for jailbrack I check the version i nthe past,I want to know if I install the CFW 4.91 on the PS3 with his original HDD ( is have 250GB) and I want in the future to uprage with a bigger HDD or SDD I need to repeat all the process again?
Your system would already be patched, so I'm pretty sure you just install the stock firmware first, and then install the CFW over that.
if were already running a older CFW would the process be different to update/upgrade?
Yes just install 4.91 CFW from USB.

yes... if it doesnt work make sure you have the cex version or pex version.

@@raphaelsdias how many hdmi ports do you have ? try in a different port maybe! see if it does the same !? I deep cleaned my ps3 as the fan was way too noisy, and i mean deep cleaned the thing stripped down hoover and re paste the chips, the amount of fluff and junk on the fins of the cooler was gross lol no wonder it was noisy. Just saying it might be getting a little hot ? or your ps3`s video chip is on its way out but you say it only does it on XMB! does it do it on anything else like when playing games etc. To me its the software at fault might be a setting to change something to do with sync or output settings.

ps4 and ps5 controllers already are native to ps3 (they work plugged in), but you might need a plugin or external device to get an xbox controller to work
