Figured it out. So, JavaScript has to be enabled and once I turned it on it worked immediately once I reopened the page. I also restarted my PS3 between those 2 events so maybe try that too.
managed to do this without the recommended usb, i had too move from my pc too my phone just too watch this video since my ps3 is in a different room, subbed on both devices thanks bro!!

The most common reason for this is not having cleared the four items in the browser: search history, cache, cookies, and authentication information. Then close the browser, go right back into it, and access the page again.
The three most common reasons for this are: 1) the USB drive itself is incompatible with the PS3. Easy way to check is to insert the USB drive into the rightmost USB port on the PS3, then go to the Photo tab on the XMB. If you see the drive listed there, you're good. If not, try a different drive. 2) The drive must be formatted in FAT32 format. 3) Any system software files have to be in the PS3 - > UPDATE subfolder. Double-check these and I think you'll be good to go.

Longer answer, you can copy over ISO files to your PS3 using FTP, an NTFS formatted drive with the NTFS compatibility app added to your PS3, or dump real PS3 discs to your internal drive using multiMAN. I guess that would depend on the data you're looking to protect. I don't -think- the HEN update process wipes out things like trophies, music, saves, etc, but I can't say with complete certainty. Maybe back up anything super important to USB before updating, just in case.

i think yes, thats what hen 4.91 is for. people still dont know why sony releases 4.91, its actually to renew some keys in your ps3, so that it can still read and play newer BD movies with renewed keys. at least thats what i read in an article
Hey I finally figured it out you're not supposed to put the page he said as favorites put the hen installer page as favorites then delete the cookies, cache etc...then exit and go back in when you're on the blank page go to the bookmared hen installer and start it and it should work for you

Figured it out. So, JavaScript has to be enabled and once I turned it on it worked immediately once I reopened the page. I also restarted my PS3 between those 2 events so maybe try that too.
