I hadn’t used a Filofax since the early 2000’s. Your last few videos influenced me to get a A5 Holborn. I don’t know why I drifted away….. thanks for sharing your excitement for Filofax. 😊
Thanks for sharing actual tangible tips and logical thoughts about what ring planners are for, I am so fed up sometimes with the planner community just repeating what they bought, instead of functionality and actual tips. They don't even make me think creatively anymore. But you did great! Lovely clingy cat was also so cute
Just subscribed! Love both planners and handbags! I've used a personal size ring bound planner since first day of college... August 1983! I switch out the binders all the time but the insides will never change. Planner peace is a great thing! 💜💜
I have several Filofax binders and use none of them for planning😂😂 I think of them like a notebook that I can rearrange. I have a personal compact- I use the provided weekly insert to keep track of money in and out. I use one as a catch all/ brain dump. When I’m done with my current journal- I’m going to switch over to journaling in an a5 and see how that goes. I’ve been thinking it would be a great way to organize my watercolor swatches and notes on artists (biographies and art movements). I’ve thought of making a recipe binder for my mom with healthy recipes that I make and I know she likes. Basically- I could have one for all areas of life😂. They’re really so useful! I’m glad you made this video. Also- I’d never heard of the archive binders before.
I’ve been recently thinking about picking up a compact for my personal life planner! As much as I love pocket size - my hand is starting to cramp when I try and write really small 😂
Hello! I loved this video so much 💕. I've been planning since... forever, but I've been in a filofax since 2012 and I love it. I have used filofax inserts, I have printed my own and I even went s couple of years bullet journaling in my filofax. The advantage there was that I could organize all my collections in different dividers, so an index wasn't all that necessary for me. Then I went back to inserts, and I realized that my "planner peace" was in week on two pages. Two years ago I had to change the size of my planner, and went from an A5 (a Malden) to an Personal (Lockwood zip), which was the size I started. I had to downsize because after the lockdown I realized I was no longer able to carry the 8 kg bags I used to. I had to reduce weight were I could, and a smaller, slimmer planner was part of it. (Besides, a smaller planner allows me to use smaller handbags. We are no longer in The Devil Wears Prada times, when you can rock maxi bags like Miranda Priestley.) I absolutely ADORED this video because you made planners and planning so relatable! Yes, a planner is not only about packing five calendars for each area of your life, but a planner (a ring bound planner to it) is a tool for productivity, a brain dump, but also a mental health place. I have printed out and stashed in maps and information for my travels, key concepts for my work, scripts, troubleshooting manuals, and have even used it to jot down information from a meeting or catch an interesting idea while commuting. This year I stared using some dashboards and materials from Cloth&Paper, and have tried out the Plotter USA weekly calendar. I love that I can reuse the binder, but change the inserts and the calendars as I see fit. Normally I don't have the urge to change the binder (thus I select durable, leather binders in neutral colors), but I like to experiment with the contents. I've love to see a plan with me with your system, but also a video of which bags go best with which planner. Planner can get heavy, but also the clasp can get tangled within the bag, so I would love to have you opinion on which bags goes better with which planner, how easy is to take the planner out and put it in the bag if you have to consult or use your planner on the go.
This was the best planner video I ever watched! I have watched so many and I had already given up my dreams of having a Filofax because dated planners don’t work for me, I use a large moleskine for daily journaling and a pocket one for writing down my to-do lists, but I don’t have a schedule or even that much to do, my pocket moleskine lasts forever. But you mentioned so many good uses for it I now feel like I can get one and put to good use. Also your cat is so cute! I also love handbags specially coach, I am so happy I found your channel!!
Great video. I have several (way to many actually) and use them more for ideas or just notebooks to capture projects I want to work on, random thoughts, trips I wish to take etc. I keep one for my home business inventory and parts suppliers. I do have a month on two pages in each but it is simply to keep track of a few events each year rather than to "plan" each day or week. I found your channel because of the other Filofax video but am enjoying your other content and enthusiasm.
Sometimes a different notebook is absolutely necessary for what thoughts you’re capturing! I have many different types too - ring bound, traveler notebooks, and sometimes a good ‘ole Moleskine does the trick!
Great tips! Love that your planner should be an ecosystem. I need to start using those pen loops! And so cute how the cat watend to be held like a baby 😍
Your second vid I've watched re planning and I loved it very much, thank you! I'm a long time planner, but sometimes we forget the basics and start to over complicate our systems. So really loved your vid. And I have to say, your cat is gorgeous, like he/she knew they were on camera 😻😻😻
Yay! Thanks for watching and I’m glad you enjoyed. And you’re totally right - Theo knows when the camera is rolling and he’s like “time for my cameo” 😂
I love the pen loop in the Original and it weighs the front cover down nicely. But I do love the look of the Malden and it seems like it has a bigger strap.
I loooove the leather on the Original, but I’ve always struggled with the pen loops and functionality of the built in storage. So the Malden ended up being my go to, even if I’d rather use my Union Jack original sometimes 😂
Loved this video! New subbie here and on Insta! I am in a Filofax Holborn Pocket as my EDC/wallet combo and a Malden Personal as my work planner. Please keep the videos coming!
Theo is a very handsome little boi - can you believe he was the last of his litter to be adopted!? It was love at first sight, even tho he was very small.
Came for the Filofax, stayed for the cat. 😍
This was the best cat video in the planner community
I hadn’t used a Filofax since the early 2000’s. Your last few videos influenced me to get a A5 Holborn. I don’t know why I drifted away….. thanks for sharing your excitement for Filofax. 😊
Ah, the Holborn is such a good choice! How are you liking it so far? And I’m so happy you are finding your Filofax love again 😊
Aww that’s cute a little kitty cuddle

Glad it was helpful! I love making videos about planners so keep an eye out😊 And Theo is my little Koala cat (as someone here coined), very clingy 😂
The spoiled kitty 🐈⬛ was everything ❤
I am giggling and smiling at your kitty!!! OMG such an adorable BABY! Also, thank you for your refreshing content about functional planning.
Theo is such a star 🌟 lol glad you enjoyed the content - planner stuff is hard for me to concisely talk about lol
LOVE your planner videos!!! Don’t stop 🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤
Awe thank you! I’m so excited to post videos about planning 🤩

I change by binders a lot too! I’ve got quite the collection - most recently I’ve been lusting over the Currant Norfolk. Such a pretty red! TFW! 😊

Love your content, great ideas for all us planners. Love your covers too!
Lol! My Koala baby - so true! He loves his cuddles. TFW!
When you said throaty pen… 😅😂 agree with all your essentials 👩🏾🏫💕
😂😂
What are your favorite planner tools?! Do you agree having a closed ecosystem is a method for success?
I've used planners for years... and I still have so much to learn. Thank you for sharing this!!

Thank you for dropping in and sharing some of your knowledge! I will need to check out Plotter - I’ve never heard of them before. TFW! 😊
Really love that you made another planner video! Def wanting to see more of how you use and store your inserts. Thanks for sharing!
Yay! Thank you 😊 I will definitely have a “plan-with-me” style video coming soon.

Yes! I hope you try out a ring bound planner - you can do all the things! And I’m glad to have you in my little YT-fam 😊
Just starting to experiment with rings and these tips were so so helpful, thank you for sharing them Brandon!
Rings are so much fun! Hope you find a system that works for you 😊
Love the kitty appearance 😍
My Filofax has become my big book of everything and I don’t think I can go back to bound books 🖤 thank you for all your tips!
I totally know that feeling! I don’t think I could even show up to work without my planner 😂
I want a filofax ❤
First time viewing your content. Loved every minute! Thank you for sharing 😊
Thank you so much! The kind words mean a lot - RUclips fell out of my rotation of hyper fixations and I’m hoping to start posting videos again soon!
@BVPDX I can totally understand that. If you do, I'll gladly watch. It's best to keep your own beat anyway 💯 😊
OMGosh, I love the cat just sitting in your arm like a baby. Lol I loved the content as well this is very helpful for beginners and for reminders
He is such a baby! A really mean baby sometimes lol

I love you filofax A5. I just bought the personal Malden to keep with me but now I think I want an A5 for the house!
Great video! Which Sharpie point do you prefer for personal size and the Filofax paper?
Hi Brandon! I’m a new subbie! You’re doing great! Thank you for sharing very helpful tips!
Thanks for joining! Glad Theo is getting some love too 😊🐈
Your video is one that I am actaiily receiving great info from
"I dont want to pet him now cause he'll bite me."😂😂😂
😂😂 pretty much sums up his personality
Thanks for sharing!! Love the kitty cuddle! Sweet!
He really loves when I sit at the counter - he thinks it’s his time for cuddles even though I’m usually trying to eat 😂
I love the pen loop in the Original and it weighs the front cover down nicely. But I do love the look of the Malden and it seems like it has a bigger strap.

Good video. I love Zebra pens. Your cat looked so cute hanging off of you 🩷
Haha yeah he’s quite the cuddler, but only when he gets held like a toddler lol
Omg I absolutely need an archival binder!
They are so worth it! You will love being able to keep your old inserts around 😊
Loved this video! New subbie here and on Insta! I am in a Filofax Holborn Pocket as my EDC/wallet combo and a Malden Personal as my work planner. Please keep the videos coming!
