FWIW, I rarely leave my house without at least seven pens. I carry a pocket pen in my right pants pocket (one of the following: Gravitas Dinkey Cupronickel, Kaweco Bronze Sport, Schon Dsgn Faceted Copper pocket six with monoc nib, or a brass Kolo Tino). Then I carry six pens in a Sinclair pen case from Richshaw Bagworks). When I’m meeting a friend for coffee or going to a meeting with a client I bring more - people are almost always curious about the pens and it’s a fun ice breaker.
Fun! I keep at my desk pens (Jinhao 82s -- so reliable!) and ink to give to interested people. It spoke volumes that Marisa had to have so many pens inked in Take-sumi. A great ink. It is my current dye-based black.
I travel with AT LEAST three to five fountain pens, a full color set of Bic Gelocitys, one notebook, and one book in pretty much any given situation. In addition to all of that, I carry two or three cheap-o pens that I don't care about in order to loan to others (because let's face it... We would be devastated if we loaned out a good fountain pen that the borrower never ended up giving back) and one fairly inexpensive pen that I let others use so that they can see how a fountain pen feels/writes if they're curious. I love gifting fountain pens to people who seem genuinely interested in wanting to try them out. And yes, Jinhaos are a great choice for gifting to beginners... much better than Preppy or Varsity in my personal opinion.
Great video! I do love seeing what other people use and how they store their pens. At first I was like wow, why so many pens…then I decided to go and count how many pens I had in my bags when I went into the office today…29. Twenty nine pens…I was going to say I have a problem but I have proper storage for all of them and they all fit so I think I am good right? Right!?! 😂

Let's penable the world and bring back the art of writing by hand! 🫶🏻 Writing by hand has actually proven to be therapeutic. Go figure that the video is featuring a therapist's EDC. 😁

I feel like most pen people are like that. Always try to bring something that others might not have seen.
