Yep! The Ruy Lopez isn’t quite my style, but it’s very solid and easy to understand for beginners. I would recommend for black, though, playing either the Carro or the French especially at beginner levels. If you respond (to e4) with e5 you could get into tons of things like the Scotch, Vienna, Ruy Lopez, Italian, Panziani, Petrov, Bishop’s, or countless others, and while most are pretty straightforward, if you make them play on your own terms, it’s much simpler. I would also recommend learning for white a solid system like the London, Rubinstein, or Colle for white. They’re all d4 systems and end up being much less tactic-heavy than e4 lines. The London and Colle carried me up to about 1300, but after that level a lot of people just know too much theory. I’m still going strong at now 1660 with the openings I mentioned in the original comment, and I would highly recommend them! 😁
I just played few rapids, In one of em I got 100.0 in opening, in another I got 100.0 in middlegame, and in another i got 100.0 in Endgame. I am 800(i get estimates elo of 1500 nearly every game)
@@21centuryboy17 Solve lots of puzzles and work on middle and end games Don't think it's hard on higher level it will only make you feel demotivated I also used to watch daniel naroditsky rating climb
Nice! I’m in a very similar boat right now as I’ve gone from 1300 to 1700 in the past month or so but with the Dutch, Vienna, French, and Sicilian Alapin! Moral of the story is that it doesn’t matter what openings you’re using, as long as you know them well!
1500 is a sign someone is really into the game. most players are casual hobbies and the best of them are 1300s but ANYONE can reach 1500 if they play long enough paying attention.
I would say this, but if you really want to get tactically good, switching to 1|1 and focusing on a particular opening can be immensely beneficial.
I play the Vienna, the French, and the Dutch. I’m a little bit over 1500 and I’d suggest those openings to anyone who wants chaotic games 😅
i also play the same openings and am a little over 1500
which one is your favorite and what is the one you recommend for a 430 elo player. I ask for you advice graciously.
Suggest me the best opening by far, for 800 elo player(me)
Probably Ruy Lopez and for black just play e5
