So many decoration possibilities for this tree. Even though it is crocheted differently, this tree gave me a nice memory of my Mama's crochet tree ( it was much bigger than this one), but I adored it.

Hi Glenda, It is so funny you posted this. I have these cones from yarn that I was using, and I don't know if it will work with them because they are cardboard but they are sturdy so I might try this but if not, I can always get the Styrofoam ones. Thank you for the information.
This would be neat if you put in a couple rows of white near the top. Like a little snow cover
It would look really cute if you used some of the other colors of yarn to make a tree skirt and make some garland to go around it!!
With the exception of feeling like a 5-year-old receiving instructions on how to make something, this pattern is just what I needed for a gift idea! It is perfect for beginners in crochet!
That could be a earring tree
Shave the top of the foam cone at the top so it isn't so SQUARE under the topper.
Just add cotton balls in the top portion of the green tree is a lot easier than shaving the cone

when making the first chain we added 4. Do we do that for each one? add 4 to length of chain
