I'm in the industry for over 33 years. I have watched many videos on building in Ghana, as a matter of fact I'm strongly considering establishing a branch of my company in Ghana. With 35 years experience and 18 owning my company, I'm sure I know a thing or two. This man is the first I have seen and can say is a legitimate general contractor. The fact that he can tell her the building process without research or looking at note, tells me he's good.

This man is knowledgeable. I have worked in the construction industry in the UK, and this seems to be correct.
He even mentioned the gradient of the floors foundation level, which is good for the rainy season.
He is so correct about the 50mm available space, it makes a big difference, truly.
I had to replace a lintel in my house as the backwall was falling. The ordering was not a problem and the guys did a brilliant job. It has been stable since, very impressive, it saved me so much money compared to if the wall had continued to sink.
Brilliant brilliant video, very informative this man is.
Aha, reminds me of my relatives. Love it!
Thank you lady, this was indepth.
    Respect Sir

Building can be so scary so it's nice to have someone patiently explain it so well and with the current cost, it's so helpful so that we don't get tricked or wasteful when you are just trying to build a family home to pass down to you children and grandchildren. Aaah my brother, you hit the nail right on the head. Trust is everything and unfortunately, a lot of us in abroad due to bad experiences with so called building contractors and foreman’s have lost trust and confidence in people. I was painfully duded by someone I thought I could trust and like you said was even going to introduce other people to him until I realised all the lies and lack of work he hadn’t done when I had paid for. It’s only by the Grace of God that I’m still able to continue with my project. Ghana needs more people like you with integrity. God bless. 🙏🏾

He is what we call a custom builder here in 🇺🇸 USA
Good info about the importance of never cutting corners especially when it comes to building a house or commercial building. Doing so will not only hurt the customer but the contractor will have a short career because word travels fast when things go wrong. The only thing that should ever change is if the buyer and builder decide to go with better quality materials that go above minimum requirements.

well said, if you're going to tile, you can avoid scriding, also if you want to avoid outside plastering and you have used concrete bricks when building, make sure the finishing is done well then use texture paint (paste), you will have saved on outside cement and labour but done painting at once.

It is no more the case that Architects are always the lead consultants in the construction industry. We are in the era of Project Management, where a professional PM, who can be an Engineer, Architect or QS, leads the Project Management Team. This can be confirmed in the Standard Tender Documents prescribed by the Ghana Procurement Law for managing construction projects.

How can you build a house and not stop at a point to continue later . Its good to budget phase by phase is you are building as a young person starting life .You may be discouraged by the amounts he’s mentioning but go for it and do it little by little .

I find your programming extremely interesting. One thing it is lacking is that that in the talk about how to build these homes we do not see the end result. And existing( finished& furnished) home would be extremely helpful. I do use your closed captioning and I am finding many words that are misspelled so it doesn't help with my understanding of what is being said. Ex. the word sun for the word meaning sand. Thank you for improving your professionalism Interrupting these problems.

Personally I'd really love to own real estate properties as well as REITs, I've been informed of people making as much as $30,000 from these investments and If anyone could be lenient enough to share, I'd really love clue and tips on how to maximize profit

I began investing in REITs made enough profit in a year to buy rental units and parking lots and I'm still investing in Reits and my real estate properties which brings in roughly $480k annually

@@24ever12 There are actually no particular sectors i focus on. I was just fortunate to have the guidance of *’’Stacey* *Lee* *Jamieson’’* I came across her in a business magazine and reached out to her through her webpage. You can use something else. for me, her strategy works hence my result. She provides entry and exit point for the securities I focus on
