As an ex constitution site manager, I’m really impressed with the tour and the knowledge of the construction manager and his answers to the questions that are being put to him 👍🏿👌🏿👊🏿
I first saw container shops in Accra, back in 1998 when i first visited Ghana. I fell in love with the concept of container living. I'm so happy to see that the concept is being developed far beyond where it was back then. It's an affordable concept that can be used all over the world.
He did an amazing job making these containers look very livable , I'm impressed. Congratulations creating the beautiful homes. It would be amazing to see him dragging those containers up the hill with the bulldozers . I wonder if he recorded that , lol. That sounds like it was a feat . Again , incredible work 👏 🙌 👌 ❤ 💪 😍
OMG. Smart people think alike! Brilliant idea! You confirm my idea we can build affordable quarters which is very attractive and functional!!! Love love the village PROMOte!!!
This is a great idea and l like the honesty of the builder in presenting the challenges he encountered in realising this project. It looks clean, safe and modern to spend quality time alone, with friends or family.
Materials are impressive. Well done. Small-space furniture layouts would work better in the narrow space. Kitchenette upstairs is a good idea and a well-planned small kitchen is possible.
14:28 is the most important question. As a developer myself the answer is revealing. Insulation is very very important or else these containers become cooking ovens. Spray foam insulation is the best.
You must be very careful that the containers you get have no lead paint on them, cleaning or scraping the lead off is very tricky because the lead chips, and lead dust are hazardous as well as any areas were the paint shaving's enter into the ground water. I did some work in a shipping yard and I had to wear a hazmat suite all day in 100 degree heat.
Very excellent and informative interview! Well done to the hotel owner and visionary and his exceptional manager! I enjoyed EVERYTHING about this expose’. More blessings to all involved!
I loved everything about the entire project: Eric's resilience to work through all challenges. What an outstandingly, beautiful community! I liked how Eric problem solved which materials to use. He thought well about the location and environment, inorder to make his material choices: 1. Water, 2. Sun, 3. Wind, 4. Scorpions and snakes. Pest control. No plants for the snakes and scorpions to shade themselves from the sun. Good presentation Amoaa. Well done! And Thank you.
Hi Amoah. It’s common in the USA. I think you guys can take this to another level. However, if the land within the continent gets a structure facelift with smooth roads, you can do wonders with shipping containers.
@@multipolarworld. At least $50,000+. It's unreal how much things like this will cost in America, right!? Using shipping containers to build your home is genius! There is another group of African Archectects that use shipping containers to build both residential and commercial building projects. I forget their name, but they were featured in a RUclips as well. I forget what African country their business is located in. But they produced beautiful and very useful residential and commercial products. African ingenuity is amazing!!!
@@multipolarworld. Well it can be even cheaper if you know what your doing. There are quite a number of People all over the US that is turning school buses, Vans, into homes on wheels. Some attach the homes made to their vehicles and travel on the road. Tiny homes, shipping container homes.
ZEEEEEEEEEEEEN . This is the nicest shipping container building I've seen yet, and probably the fittest to live in still!! This is like on a Mini-Mansion level, but downsized in price, not quite the way I'd build my home, but is still very fascinating and eye-catching
20:23 love the tiles & grass that’s how we can grow herbs 🌿 spices on a private patio. ;) thanks 🙏🏾 so very much. Beautiful view. Better than New York tower view based upon housings not projects of skyscrapers
Maame, you're very thorough with your style of interviewing. It was both educational and entertaining to watch this episode. I feel you and the equally impressive Brother Eric have a beautiful synergy, hint, hint 😊. He is very knowledgeable yet modest to admit that he is still learning through experimentation. We love honest and transparent people. I would like Eric to build for me. I have a pre-architectural background, and would like to discuss my concepts with a material and structural guru like Eric before I finalize my brainchild. Eric, the sky is the limit, you're only going get better with time. Chris, may your pending plans soon come to maturation. Cheers. Congrats.
The guy is very knowledgable and fluent in his explanation,..i would really have hired hime for a project if i was actually from Ghana...nys work,..and the lady is fine yooooo😍
Amoaa, you put out excellent and educational content. Kudos! No disrespect, NONE at all; but you are also a gorgeous African Queen. Kudos to that as well.

In the USA special interests, would fight these type of homes 🏡 because, it’s not overpriced or susceptible to Tornadoes or Hurricanes that blow whole neighbours into oblivion. Furthermore, the media, corporations and politicians would go insane,to the logic of such a home concept. Container homes would certainly be an attractive option in the USA, but as explained it would ignite a Capitalist Nightmare instead of the obvious!!
To protect the containers you can come back and spray the rubber liner that they use in pick up trucks and spray their rubber liner inside and out and then let it air out
I live in San Antonio Texas and we have practically the similar setup with 3 levels and a garage for a fraction of the price. The initial selling price was 650k then went to 1.2million each unit.
This is amazing! Good job! One thing I would suggest for this RUclips channel is some transitional music as your switching rooms ect but yeah great job on the containers and good questions asked by the host - loved this episode 🤩
United States real estate investor here saying great job great interview and keep it up I'm very seriously thinking of doing the same thing except I would go 2 wide on each unit keep it up my friends and God bless you all Richard from West Coast United States
You can have a studio unit in a 20 ft container, but it would have to be planned out as to what's important to you in your space! I would suggest folks watch Tiny House living videos here in the US. I've seen some nice little homes!
The plastic T&G is also highly inflammable so really not advisable.i wonder of it's insulated in case of fire so that even if it should happen it will give them time to escape. Brilliant project anyway and great pricing. Well done 👏
Awesome! I would love to get the developers info I’m building in USA (Los Angeles California) and also making my first trip to Ghana fascinated with container developments.

These are beautiful containers for living quarters. Yes so lovingly done. I would stay there.

Very good point. A suggestion is to have independent testing during the project's progression. Safety first.
What would you recommend for the sterilization of the container metal

Amoaa, you are special. You conduct yourself like an African Queen. Peace be upon you always
Fantastic, well done to the builder and their vision
Great Job 👏 Here in Puerto Rico people are purchasing containers to do Tiny Houses but not for apartments.( great idea).
Hola Armando, are you a builder or do you know someone in PR that is building tiny houses? I am interested in building in Maizales.

Beautiful concept and design, the only thing missing is some outside landscaping Excellent job!
