Just ordered the automatic diesel . Been so please with my Sportage for three years with no hassles whatsoever plus its easy and lovely to drive .it's why I've gone for it again .
I recently took delivery of a Spec 2, 1.6 T-GDI AWD and I love it. I had to get rid of my E Class Mercedes 250Cdi as it wasn't euro 6 compliant so wasn't able to use it in the new ULEZ and I wasn't going to pay £25 every time I wanted to go to London (or inside the NCR/SCR from 2021). Its my first modern SUV after many years of saloons and hatch backs. . . . . (Oh and a Fiat Mulitpla . . . stop sniggering at the back!). Ok, As I said, I bought it today, exactly that color (they had it on stock) - Blue Flame. It was 19.7K Euros, VAT included, for the 1.6 GDI 134hp, with medium trim level. Still, with that medium trim level, it has way more than i could have wanted. I have to say I've seen at least 10 reviews for the sportage, and while most were good, yours was excellent. And yeah, the 7 year bumper to bumper warranty is too sweet.
@@brankovukovic3658 Hey, as I said I got the 1.6GDI which is the petrol engine non turbo. It is a 6 speed manual. In Bucharest, which has very bad traffic, with automatic climate control (so with AC) on, It goes about 10-12l/100km, which is normal. My older 1.4 diesel fiesta did about 8-9 in Bucharest. I bought a Kia Sportage 1.6 petrol GT-S. line. Got a really good deal at the end of September. Got £1700 part X £1200 discount. £250 for test driving. A full tank of petrol. A set of Kia Mats. 3 year servicing. 7 year warranty. Discounted Lifeshine. It might not have the badge kudos but I’m very impressed so far the dealer even fitted my dash cam and tracker unit. The value for money sold it for me. FYI. I don’t do high mileage.
Branko Vukovic Hi. 174hp. Auto AWD. Have never measured the fuel kph. I don’t do a lot of mileage. I’m very happy with it so far. I know it’s subjective but I really like the look. This is turbo petrol version + Automatic how much you pay?I look basic 1.6 petrol 132hp because is the cheapest and good deal but maybe its weak engine for weight SUV.?
Branko Vukovic £26000 there are some good low mileage secondhand cars on the Kia website. Test drive the one you are looking at. See what the engine is like.
You can get a fully loaded Sportage for 30k. At the same time an Audi Q3 with the same specs costs 10k extra. U really need to be crazy to go for a German equivalent (e.g.Q3-X1). Japanese and Korean manufacturers make it increasingly difficult for Germans to justify the extra cost.
I have been driving a Sportage for 15 months and it is difficult not to smile. My other car is a ford fiesta 1.4 diesel and the Sportage is wonderful against this. The model I drive is the KX3 and is a 2.0 litre diesel and has no problem with humph!. However, this review deals with specs more than it should. I love this car and I am upgrading to the Sorento in a couple of years time. I've had my 2019 Sportage LX for a week or so---in love with it! It's a beautiful pacific blue, not super loaded, but all I wanted was a reliable AWD vehicle with a remote start, and I got it! I also have a 1.4 diesel fiesta, and was courting the idea to get a new car. Had my eyes fixed on this, but with your comment, I just made up my mind. Thanks
I wish we could get the blue one in America. The only blue one we have is almost black in color. Kia doesn't want to give us many fun colors for the Sportage. As far as sporty looking colors we only have red and burnished copper.

All you people who keep mentioning Hyundai as an after thought to Kia, NEWS FLASH.....Hyundai owns Kia, the ONLY reason Kia is such a good brand today is because of Hyundai. DCT geearbox issues, noise, poor halogen front lights, shining piano-forte plastics that can make you blind on the road..., overheating gearbox in city centres (traffic jams)...no thanks. Just see how many people complain on gearbox and its overheating.
Drove one for a day and it is dreadful. Apart from the engine that, to be fair, this review trashes, as it has absolutely no power whatsoever, it begins by feeling like you are sitting in a mausoleum. A cheap, dark mausoleum at that. The switchgear is okay, but the plastic is horrible. Back to the switches, though, Kia have crammed as many on to the steering wheel as possible, even though you can't do some operations while driving. Just why? The seats aren't particularly comfortable and, unlike this gentleman, I felt I was sitting in something of a hole, for such a tall car. The view out of the rear is like a distant porthole. Worst of all, though, is the slightly angled steering wheel. One side is about 1/2" further away than the other, giving a very odd feel that I haven't experienced since driving a 1970s Fiat. Even that might be forgiven, if there was the remotest degree of feel. IT IS TERRIBLE!! Add to that the jiggly ride over uneven ground and susceptibility to side winds on the motorway and you have a package that is quite possibly the worst car I've driven in years.
