Have you found a workaround for the ceilings not snapping?
FYI for those trying to do this in 2021
Fence supports no longer count as foundations. When you go to put the floor in the hut you'll run into an issue placing the middle 2. Just add 2 wood pillars in the fence behind the hut. It'll fix it.
I say 2 just for symmetry sake. You only NEED 1

@@mulletmama88 no problem! Usually if a build doesn't work I assume it's just outdated. Building in ark has always been confusing and it's like the second you figure it out they'll change mechanics 😂

Nice. On my Crystal Isles there is like 10 dodos packed into a tiny little island in the ocean, unable to move. This will be a better home for them :p

You are probably the best ark how to build channel
Not sure if updates have changed anything but, this build doesn’t work anymore. Ceilings won’t snap to fence supports at all. Fence supports won’t snap too each other without a foundation nearby.
Also ran into an issue with your brand new equus stable video where the catwalks won’t clip properly to go down the center of the stone aisle.
Are you using any mods like S+ I know about the fence supports you can place a pillar every 2 fence supports then delete them once you have e the desired fence length I will have to test the catwalks on the stables as this is a new video therefore should work
Thats pretty good. I didnt think about building something on stilts like that coop was. Thanks again for letting me know you had this video. The coop itself gives me and idea for a house on stilts over water. Im going to try that out some time.

I can't place the 2 pieces of wood floor in the middle, says there's no foundation. did I do something wrong? I placed the thatch wall like in the video

Place a single wooden pillar in the back wall - you can float two wooden ceilings off of that. That is how I did it.

Finna build this in asa. Was breeding my dodos for kibble when a few of the chicks hatched before I could claim them. Now I have 8 dodos and need a place to put them.
Instructions unclear accidentally made a Terror Bird coup.

Has anyone built this recently? I've built it before with no problems and now I'm building it again on a different map and its not working at all. This was one of my favorite builds.
Try to repair/rebuild mine. Thought it auto decayed, but apparently something in the building mechanics got changed. Can't repair the few pieces that disappeared, and starting from scratch won't let me put the ceiling piece (actually the floor on stilts) onto the thatch wall.

How do you position your small, non-rideable dinosaurs neatly?
This definitely doesn't apply to you anymore so I'm commenting for people who see your comment and want to know.
If you fill up the creatures inventory until it's encumbered (like with just stone) then when you pick them up and toss them down they aren't going to go walking away a few steps.

I am way late to the party, i know this is years behind but i just started playing again and i love this build. one thing confuses me though. I'm not quite sure how the ladders help in lining up the benches.

3:08 it says I need support. Can't place the center two ceilings
sadly my dodo eggs fall through the ceiling tiles and i can only find maybe 1-3 on the ground underneath but i love the build still keeping my dodos in it

another nice dodo coop my man, quick question how do u keep those dodos facing the walls in the coop i cant seem to get them to stay put hahaha even though they arn't on wander.
lleeoo110 put stones in them it’s tricky but if you get the right spot they sit still

Love the build but way more dodos than I will even need in my ark ^_^
I tried to build this but due to building restrictions from tge environment (sloped ground) mine is significantly smaller and has a shed onstead of a coop...
It works though... my dodos survived a Dilo pack attack... course, my Iguanadon, my 2 Gacha Clause's, my two tortoises, and my level 9 Tek Para that I found as it literally walked into my village... thems big bois...

I can't put the wooden ceiling down when I start to make the coop because it says it requires a nearby foundation support I really want to build this but I can't
put behind wooden fundation and when u build it, destroy ^^;
I just put a couple of Wood Pillars down. Had the same problem with the 2 "Ceilings" in the middle.

I cannot seem to put the two wooden ceilings in the middle down. says i need a foundation nearby and I tried placing one but it doesn't work. can anyone help?

I can't get the fence supports to snap like that. I keep getting an error asking for a foundation. What am I doing wrong?
So for that, you just need to lay a foundation near where you are placing the fence posts. It's so weird, it doesn't even need to touch the foundation.

I spent two hours building this and a triceratops I tried to tame came in and killed my three dodos. Rip
How the hell do you place the dodos on the benches? Everytime i try to do so the dodo walks away and stops randomly on the bench or even falls off :( wandering is disabled

How do u get in “creative mode” like that
if I recall it right you can set the settings before going into Single Player to show the button to enter creative. that button appears if you press ESC in-game.
Only tried that once long ago, so it's possible that it got changed or that I remember it wrong
