Unlike any of the other RUclips videos on a dodo farm build this one is what a real small farm dodo coop would look like simple yet awesome
Pro Tip for placing Dodos. Fill them up with stone till their encumbered, then place your Dodo. It'll place correctly every time. =)
Required items:
2 foundations
2 roofs
1 ramp
7 walls (windows included, 2-4 of those)
1 doorway
2 sloped walls
5 benches
11? Fences

Awesome pun, my man. Ark-itect, great one. Anyways, great design overall. Beats the one I just watched overall. The other one was a boring plain square. But yours has more of that extra flare to it that draws my attention every single time. The build can be modified and upgraded like a bench with more dodos against the wall that was behind you for the intro and a bigger room.

That's a great design, i'm going to put it in the fourth or fifth floor of my tower, skipping the wander area as it's unnecessary.

FYI oviraptor eats raw meat when tamed.

@@CANNABEARDGAMING Well 1 year late reply. So you proberly found out by now yourself. But hey if you havent , bonus ! hehe. They only need eggs for taming (meat wotn work there), they dont take eggs afterwards tho. I store my eggs in the feeding trough and never lost any even tho my Ovi is in range of it. Even tried have egg in her's inventory, she doesn eat em. Wiki state it aswell, which is good info 95% the time imo. Then again maybe they did 1 year ago , i didtn play then :P

Dodo’s default have a 13% chance to lay an egg every time they poop. An Oviraptor increases it to 18% and a male to 26% but I don’t know if or how they stack together.
To stop the dodo from moving around just disable wandering and make it's stand neutral

If you want the side pieces to be symmetrical, you need to come strait out from between the foundations then work out to the sides. Those diagonal pieces you laid are what shifted that left side to the right.

If anyone is having trouble placing the dodos overencumber them first, when you throw them they’ll stick where they land, once they turn their heads and start looking straight again you can take the weight out.

Hey ovi raptors don’t only eat eggs they also eat raw meat however eggs would give more

You don't have to put rocks in the dodos to not move? My game says they don't mate when encumbered
they are all tamed dodos and i just put them all on passive and disable wander. they stay put. unless you call them
but i tested it and rocks work well as well, if my dip down trick dont work for placing the dodos filling them with rocks works well as well
whistle them to follow you and then throw them they wont walk

They give you poop to turn into fertilizer
And they give eggs for kibble

nice build - now how did you get the dodos to stay up there. Mine will stay for 1-2 mins, then they start walking. any tips?
Ya put them on "disable wandering" or fill them with so much weight they can't move.
Please make a video how you can find or get that flat base ground

I could be wrong but I thought ovoraptors didn’t effect dodos because dodos have a flat 25% chance when pooping to lay an egg
They did at the time I made this video....
I can't do that right now because a Sarco is attacking me! And all I have is 4 Dodos.

All I would do is build a pillar-supported roof out of wood or stone so that they can not break it. Never mind I checked. They can not break wood.

on the center map its the top of that water inlet on "tropical island north" once the trees and rocks are clear its a huge flat spot

Just get an argy on neutral to defend them. And have it follow a dino so it doesn't fly away.
what kind of dodos do you need witch gender do you need
+Josh Barney females lay eggs. But I believe having a male near by gives them a mate boost and an ova adds more.
why not allow then to walk around? is not that messy to get the eggs anyway

+MXD MXD all dinos that lay eggs. Theoretically will lay eggs under th2 right conditions. The placement in this vid is more for rollplay aesthetical reasons I lined them up that way

TY much , I was have been using S+ mod, but I do believe those are normal S+ wooden foundations
Ahh ok. I used concrete foundations instead and it looks pretty good, not quite as good as yours though!

Do you use those Dodos to breed or do you need to set them to wandering for that? Also, why do you need to weigh the Oviraptor down, does he climb over the fence or something?
+Darrell EADES yes they have to wander to actually breed. This is just for fun and bulk unfertilized eggs. And for weighing down the ovi I think I was just over thinking it. As they should not be able to get over the fence
How do you make the arrows when you put down structures
they sadly took that away with an update its now green or purple depending on what way its facing... i liked the arrows too RIP

Wish dodo will not counted on tame dino its freaking limited to 40 i only tame 2 male and female and breed them and kill the one with lowest scale
What happens to the fertilized ones
i dont let the male wander so they dont get fertile

james mccubbin inside the pen yes. The only male is the one on the roof top. He could be anywhere close by.
Do the female need a nearby male to lay unfertilized eggs?
It's been a while since iv tested. But I do not think u need a male to lay eggs. However at the time I recorded this it. Males gave a mate boost. But the ova rap gave the egg buff

female I have the one male on the roof and I have a oiraptor by the side and I don't know what to do what should I do can you help me anyotherway
well females all by them selfs have a chance of pooping an egg so they should drop some eggs at the very least, unless u have any mods running that could be changing things
i have no mods because I am on PlayStation 4 and i have no more online network so I lost all my mods and I have get my PlayStation network back but I do not no how and also I went to all videos about how to set it back up but nothing worked out so I do not have any mods I am just vunila ark

I wasnt trying to breed them, just make a fun lil home for them, and have them lay eggs for food or kibble or whatever.
They don't need to breed to lay infertile eggs dude. If your looking for fertile eggs this vid is not for u
