Always loved Tom Scott's work. Back to the Steely Dan solos and everything. Random and apropos of nothing ....in these younger days he sure does look like John Lithgow's double!
Kaspar Galli преди 14 години I was in the audience in Zurich, Switzerland in the mid 80's, the series was called "Jazz-In" for Swiss TV. I was lucky enough to watch rehearsals too. A local musician (this time Francis Colleta on guitar) was allowed to put his dream band together and in 2 days they would put together a set of live music. I got to meet Joe Sample and Alex Acuna, both very friendly, Tom Scott was a real ballbuster to Wolfgang Schmid (b)....thanks so much for posting this - any more of the same show?

In 2023, this piece is timeless. Much respect and admiration for Tom Scott. His is a unique soul and groove.
No, it's a Lyricon, Tom had the first production copy (Dave Sanborn had #2). Today's WX-5 is a descendent.
Jeah, great! Tom Scott is awsome!
Great lyricon solo!!

It looks like Joe Sample, but it doesn't sound like him...
