Still the most influential person in Brown Magazine.
And Mocha Emporium!
I got the biggest most nostalgic smile right now :')
Great comment. Love that shit!
23rd actually, no one will ever be more influential than Aladdin
You should start a band, dude.
Look who it is lol
I just learned about Misha and Periphery and the entire time I have been thinking "This guy reminds me of Tavarish..." And here you are.
Tavarish listens to Periphery? Man, my life is complete.
I feel this is like the meme of Obama giving himself a medal.
Could've named it "Misha Mansoor interviews Bulb".
🤣😂
This is so funny and ridiculous. "I became the voice of a generation by accident."
I used to hang with you guys on the Sevenstring.org forum in the late 00's. I still have your demos from back then. Your stuff was truly great to the point where you and guys like Tosin made a whole new genre of metal. Your taste in guitars like Blackmachine etc. also heavily influenced a whole generation of guitar players in my opinion. Keep it up man. You've deserved all your success!
Truth. We all have immaculate taste in guitars now thanks to his and Nolly's taste back then (and still) haha.
I still have the demos too man. I'm always stoked as hell to hear them become full periphery tracks
I swear he doesn’t get enough credit for how awesome and creative he and his band is. It’s legendary
A well maintained beard and stylish beanie give this Djent Lord, a clean, hip look.
MISHA MANSOOR IS MY BIGGEST INSPIRATION FOR BECOMING A MUSIC PRODUCER!
Ah I remember those pre-riffery, Bulb days when it was just a compilation of demos. 13-year old me thought Misha had the greatest fucking modern metal tone ever. "It was like Meshuggah on crack" my teenage mind claimed.
It's so cool though to see how far Misha and the Periphery boys have come since then.
I want Misha to explore “Not enough Mana”. Easily my favorite track from his early bulb days.
I remember the JP forum days and how vibrant that place was, so this will be a rad time machine.
Followed you quite a bit on sevenstring.org back in the day and I got to see your progression from Bulb to what you have accomplished with Periphery so far. Thank you for letting me and all of us live vicariously through your career through the years, and I hope there are many more years to come.
Hey Misha I hope you will stream the releases and give some insight on the songs it would be very interesting.
I have *double checks* 69 old Bulb demos already in my iTunes library, but I'm really interested in seeing the other 40 I'm apparently missing.
Nice

This was dope Misha, more of this kinda stuff pls
Thank you for leaving all of your old material up on soundclick/yt. Your early stuff along with the early stuff of John Browne, Vildhjarta, and any other bands I like with early demo tracks have been a huge inspiration as someone who is still learning the guitar and songwriting for it. Hearing the polished final products made after a decade of experience feels very unreachable but hearing those rough early tracks makes it feel a lot more possible for someone like me. It's easy to forget that nobody is born a god at the guitar.
Mo powa baby!
Aw yeah baby this gonna be good
Dude I don't know if you realize how influential those bulb years were back on the forums. I remember hearing you a do a Paul Gilbert cover, and I decided that if you could play that(which I thought was impossible), then I could learn to play like that as well. I never made it big, but your influence back then was why I took guitar seriously and why I got into more aggressive music.
I remember hearing you "Bulb" on those forums back in the day, and it was quite mind blowing at the time. It was kind of when ONLY Meshuggah existed in that vein, and then you came along. MIND BLOWN. I do remember one other guy that did similar music as you, also with GREAT production, but his name escapes me right now?
If anyone knows let me know!
Mishaaaaaa
Edit: 6:29 :o

I like how you’ve now got a Donut media shirt on after he had a Periphery shirt on. C O L L A B T I M E

Love the story behind all of this.
Super excited for the electronic & orchestral volumes!
Donut Media rocking Periphery shirts and Misha rocking a Donut shirt. I like that.
So happy you're releasing all of this music!
Go Misha! Keep up the awesome work/content/music/all of the above!
Super excited for Misha and the future of 3 Dot!
This gets me so excited! It’s awesome being able to have grown up with all this going on developmentally during my pubescent years of adolescence but now as an adult there has been so much fruition with the sound periphery has created.
This is just so cool! I love Periphery for this reason a lot - you can see the diversity of the talent of these guys through their music and how much effort is behind all that. Really the key to all great music is experimenting - and it is awesome to see that it's what they constantly do in their projects. Just for the love of music in the first place.
Listened to the new bulb album all day!!! Totally BADASS!!!
Awesome cover man! I hope Misha will see this; you have a lot of potential!
Great artist! Looking forward to hearing the songs.
when i first heard Breeze years ago after discovering periphery I have been patiently waiting for a bulb solo album and it's finally happening!!!!
This is awesome.
You have always been my biggest influence in metal based music
I found you via Sevenstring.org that forum changed me. I learned so much from there. My first really nice guitar came from a dude on there. Still have it too
UNLEASH THE PWNIES!!!!!!

ngl those old Bulb demos are fire and prolly better than any Periphery album and I think its bc you never wanted to monetize it, pure music
Looking forward to solo project!
I remember those petrucciforum / soundclick days you posting stuff using pod xt / 3 :P always sounded phenomenal
Consider June 12th marked on the calendar 🤘

Ive seen both James and Nolan from donut media wearing periphery shirts. Makes sense now
I was thinking the same thing haha
Thumbs up for the Donut Media shirt 👍
Dont forget mXtabs forum! That's where I first heard you.
Same.
I'm kinda slow, are the recordings for the Bulb Archives the exact same recordings from soundclick, or are they brand new recordings of those recordings?
They are not brand new recordings.
Crazy how Bulb looks just like Misha 😳
Donut wears Periphery merch, Misha wears Donut merch!
What's your skin care routine, tho? He's glowing like the sun.

what bands/songs did you cover in high school
Is the solo album the 10 volumes or a different album that's released separately from the volumes? That wasnt so clear.
Nice Donut shirt there!
How dare you not mention Harmony Central forums...Jake Veredika's version of Walk is still the best
I wonder if Nolan from Donut is a fan of Bulb/Periphery haha
Yep, there are multiple videos of him wearing periphery shirts as well as meshuggah
I remember I was friends with Casey Sabol. Casey deleted me tho.
You forgot to mention OMNOM
BTBAM forum represent! 😂
1- you are epic sauce unobtainable in a bottle 2- where might I find the song "even" with the female singer? one of my favorites and no longer can find it ;(
So not everything is being re-recorded? They'll essentially be the same demos as back in the day, just officially released?
Yes
ze elektrik lighbulb mansoor
Does anyone know what Misha studied at university? Just curious.
Intro song title, anybody know it?
Can someone explain the Bulb logo to me? I always thought it looked like a Bulbasaur with lightbulb in the middle of it's head.
How tf does he remember how to play 108 songs?! I’m sure there’s some improv tracks there too
Yeah but what about BREEZE!?!?
BTBAM FORUM
