- Hey, guys! This is my full production cover of Bulb's (Misha Mansoor of Periphery) latest single, "Parabolica".
This one took a lot of figuring out but I think I got most of it right, minus maybe the crazy beehive at the end (watch to the end of the video to see what I mean and if you want a good chuckle.

Thanks, bro! I struggled with the mix on this one - the pickups in that JP are straight muddy trash so it's always rough getting them to sit well in a mix, haha. I'm glad it came out sounding good!

Yeah, there's option on the Patreon (Engineer Among Us) for the separate stems for each instrument for all the songs, including drum MIDI, etc. So it'll all be unprocessed raw tones for you to play around with.

Thanks, dude! It’s a set of 12-52s but with a 62 swapping out the 52 so it can go down to A without getting all flappy and annoying. 🤘🏻

@@DJENTISNTNOTAGENRE 😅 yeah somewhat easier is definitely a good way to describe it - the rhythms actually get pretty ingrained in muscle memory quickly for me - they’re all very similar throughout the song just usually offset by a 16th note for the second half of a riff.
@@BenMcSherry Yeah I have a pretty good grasp on the rhythm. It's playing the lead parts just right that always gets me. Definitely not Misha's flashiest work, but it still requires some practice on my end.
@@DJENTISNTNOTAGENRE yeah, it’s not as awful as the Blood Eagle solo. I also tabbed out his solo on August Burns Red’s re-release of ‘Pangaea’ and was going to post it. Then I decided I didn’t want to spend two weeks crying while getting it up to speed 😅

What tuning is this in?
It's Periphery's modified Drop C - so it goes A G C F A D. It's like Drop C but the low string all the way down to an A instead of C. Basically when you make a power chord on the low two strings you get an octave instead of a root and a fifth.
