What is hilarious is when and justice for all came out, we were all trying to get that 'junt' sound. We struggled with the sound just as much as the pronunciation. So glad we (all of us) figured out the both of them.
The thing with "djent" though is it seems so many people were unaware of it's origin and it's erroneous naming. And to entertain the notion of a genre named after a sound, which ironically doesn't necessarily employ said sound...
When someone would whip out their fancy guitar, I would always ask, "but will it djent?" and they would always have a strange expression on their face. Now I have video documentation of DJENT!
They need to do a full collab. Their jam actually sounded really good. Herman is fantastic at melodic leads and melody crafting, but Misha's rhythm playing is just so much more rhythmically and harmonically interesting. Could be the best of both worlds!
