"Hey, uh, tactical retreat is as good a plan as any, but shouldn't we warn the alliance we have to pull out? Our diplomatic ties aren't exactly great as it is." "Nah, I'm sure it'll be fine."
Horde talks a big game about blood and thunder and never retreating and dying with honor but when it comes time to actually DO IT they run away like cowards
The Alliance had to retreat because the honorless savages who call themselves the Horde ran away. There is a differencw between die fighting and just get meaninglessly slaughtered. Had the Horde actually possessed some of the honor they always talk about, they might have had a chance of victory. But as we all know, honor is just a word they like to throw around, they don't even know what it means.
So....when the Horde would have stayed ALL leader would have been dead including all troops. And after that the Alliance would have been wiped out. Nice plan...frontal assault against such an enemy was already the dumbest plan ever made but now even the players are too dumb to realize it.
To be fair... That is an Orcish saying, Trolls are a bit less reckless and are far more focused on cunning and survival. Vol'jin did not want the Horde soldiers dying needlessly for "honor and glory." Damn, I really like that guy.
I mean, direct order form Vul'Jin to dip out. You can see she wanted to help Varian, but it was smarter to retreat instead of having them all just die.
Now that was fucking pathetic. Holy shit. >Varian solos a fucking fellbot and tons of fellguard >Voljin gets stabbed once and dies >Alliance stands and fights off the Legion's vanguard at the front of the Tomb >Horde gets pushed and kicked by a bunch of fellguard Why do we need Horde again? Because I sure as hell have no idea.

Evilfish82 Yes, that's how battleplans work. That's why everything went to shit, when Horde decided to job like a bunch of kids to trash mobs. That's why soldiers are not supposed to run from battle, because it leaves the side the were fighting on unprotected.
Ah right. You must have missed the part where the Horde was being sandwiched. I can see how in your small mind you want to hate the Horde, but looking at it from a fair perspective, the Horde and the Alliance retreated for the same reason - they were being overrun.
We, the Alliance always had, and we will be always sacrifice ourselves for the greater good. I know the horde got overrun, but Sylvanas could use the Valkyr to buy just a little more time for the Alliance to bring in the Gunship, and kill Gul'dan. Yet they fled... for that we can never forgive the Horde. For the Alliance...
Yeah because grom didn't sacrifice him self.Because Varok's brother( i forgot his name) didn't killed a buncho of demons just to give time to the pussy night elves during th war of ancients( sorry for my bad english)
naw, to die like that, and put a tomb without a body in Stormwind, sorry but all Gul'dan did was take his soul, expect a cliffhanger in the following patches.
The tomb is without a body because there was no body left to bury. If Gul'dan took his soul, there would be no explosion as a result. They would be really reaching if they tried to make it out that there's actually a Varian to come back in some shape or form. Unless they pull the Goldrinn angle, which is the only one that could make sense.
How is it shameful? Only a dumbass stays and fights a lost battle. Sylvanas saved our asses and the Alliances. Guldan was simply distracting Varian and his troops, while over running ours to corner them. Sylvanas is the best military strategist in the game, she knows what she's doing. The horn let the Alliance know to retreat and the casualties were minimal because of it.
Sedze WSB It is shameful, because after everything we've been through, past all the battle we've fought and WON, we Still get downright Manhandled by the Legion. Granted, that wasn't All of our forces, but still....we were so utterly defeated....it makes all our achievements seem.....trivial....
D Mar Do you know how powerful the Burning Legion is? Our other achievements honestly are trivial compared to a full equipped, fully ready Burning Legion. Ragnaros,Illidan,The Lich King,Deathwing,Garrosh..etc all of them are literally nothing compared to the Legions endless army's. We faced a tiny fraction of them during the war of the ancients, and Archimonde during the third war. However those attacks were nothing compared to this one, they prepared this time, they're coming full force. It's in no way shameful we had to retreat, the legion has destroyed thousands upon thousands of worlds and if we would've stayed they would've destroyed Azeroth. I mean they're lead by the strongest titan sargeras, the dude literally cuts planets in half....
That may be a good excuse, but they were cowards nonetheless. You make a pact to work together, you work together until the end, both live or both die. They left without saying nothing, thats full cowardice, you should never go full coward. The least she could do was warn the alliance. #HordeDickMove
Seeing Green Jesus on his knees should tell you how screwed the Horde was if they didn't retreat. Hail to the Banshee Queen ! We will avenge Vol'jin ! "The general who advances without coveting fame and retreats without fearing disgrace, whose only thought is to protect his country and do good service for his sovereign, is the jewel of the kingdom."
Yes and the alliance should had done the same, both factions were severely outmatched therefor its better to live and fight another day than dying for nothing.
Dangit guys, Sylvanas forgot to inform Wrynn. She went downhill than sounded a horn. She expected that to be heard on the other side of a "?hill?", in the middle of the battle. If she were on the top, she might've been seen or heard, but she wasn't. After that she just didn't care. She left the Alliance to the death. She CHOOSE the Horde over the Alliance.
MamboJambo "She expected that to be heard on the other side of a "?hill?", in the middle of the battle." If you look at the Alliance side video, it was. And actually this is exactly the purpose of horns, to be heard in the middle of a battle to indicate retreat for exemple. "She CHOOSE the Horde over the Alliance." She choose to try to save the life of her warchief and all of her faction, her people, yes. What did you expect ? Betrayal and let them all die ? Any Alliance leader would have do the same and choose to save their people over the one of the rivals. But i guess it's bad and treason only if the Horde does it. Come on.
TheUnspeakableOne Yeah, you got a couple of point there. The only problem is, that without working together both part dies out, and Sylvanas just left the Alliance and probably one of the strongest character to his death.
Farewell, Varian. You were not perfect, but you grew to become a true King. My king. You and your son learned a lot from each other, may he lead with honor as you did. I hope you find peace where you are now, with your dear wife, I'm sure she's really proud of what you've become. You will never be forgotten, Lo'gosh. For Azeroth.
I also noticed while doing the scenario on another character today that the Horde faces 2 open Legion portals and 3 Legion space craft that are being used as artillery platforms. While the Alliance only faces just demons.
In our defense, the Alliance did however end up with a giant-ass pile of the Archdemons too. so both our sides were kinda fucked regardless. really everyone's fault for running in half-cocked. why the second invasion of the Broken shore goes so much better, since we had the Highmountain Tauren, Vrykul, Demon Hunters and so on with us. We weren't the Horde or Alliance that day. We were Azeroth United.
@@pendraco2000 Also a year late, but it didn't help that Matthias Shaw was replaced by a Dreadlord and feeding bad info to the Alliance about their chances at the Broken Shore
You realize you're saying only Varian is a true leader since he's the only one who stayed behind? If you're trying to insult the horde, you're also insulting the Alliance. I don't think you thought that line through.
Alliance stayed and fight. Varian decided to stay back, to give his people a chance to escape like a true leader would do. Sylvanas ran like a coward leaving everyone including the alliance to die. From these movies, I doubt she would even manage to escape if it wasn't for Varian's sacrifice.
Lok'tar Ogar, Victory or Death? Not in this story... For the Alliance...
It would have been nice if someone at least tried to tell the Alliance. One of Sylvanas' scouts could have made her way down to there and simply said "We're being overrun in the hundreds! We're falling back!" Disappointing to lose the battle, sure, but at least as a unit. Then we would have had way less conflict between the factions afterwards. Or maybe just a "I'm so very sorry." from Sylvanas afterwards would have sufficed. It's just... such a shame it turned out this way.
Amina kodugumun blizzardi gidip gerizekali gibi illidani champion of the light yaparsa fanservice icin sylvanasi warchief yaparsa olacagi bu amina koyim simdi millet hordea dusman kesildi neyse ki forsakendan kim varsa biz zandalarinin postallarinin altinda ezilecekler
The horde ran because both Thrall and Vol'jin were fatally wounded, and they were getting ambushed from behind. What they did was far smarter than what Varian did. Gul'dan was perfectly right. He died for nothing.
So that's why they left the Alliance there. I accept this cinematic as one of the best ones yet besides the Alliance cinematic. RIP Varian Wrynn, you will be dearly missed.
People are saying that the horde are wusses, but the thing is, they were fighting infinite waves of enemies which their forces divided (Sylvanas's archers were shooting at the Alliance's targets), and called a retreat because they were quickly losing ground. Meanwhile, the Alliance held their ground against a couple waves of stronger enemies until they lost their support. So really, both sides were about equal in ability but the Horde chose to survive as opposed to getting slaughtered due to having divided forces. Besides, it was a set up to stir tension anyways, so the Legion wants us to fight... PLUS it still took a poisoned sword to kill Vol'jin after at least a day, and 3 lasers from legion spaceships at once to incapacitate Thrall, who was having problems with the elements responding in the first place.
If you play the Horde and the alliance Broken shore scenarios. The Horde fights alot, and i mean -ALOT- more Demons than the Alliance do.. However. All of this drama could have been fixed by any random member of the horde army yelling something like "Our leaders are down, we are overrun. We MUST retreat/ We are retreating.". i mean Sylvanas and Varian are bantering with each other the entire time anyway
Sylvanas knows the pain of losing her people so I am sure that's the reason why she doesn't want that to happen to Vol'jin and the Horde so she had to obey his order to fall back even if it means leaving the alliance on their own. The death of the alliance's King at the end is still so sad.
lonewolfgr Tratiors for what? Using brains and know that the situation is hopeless. There are two options. 1 Horde keep fighting till Horde leaders are dead. Result: Alliance will be overun and will still die or Varian will die would still die, What also means that the Horde is leaderless what will result in a weakend Horde and the the Victory of Legion over Azeroth. 2: Use brains > retreat > Horde still has a leaders because they didn't sucide. And this option leaders to the expansion.
Alliance here, and while I'm upset about Varian's death, I don't blame Sylvanas for retreating. Her people were dying, and they were heavily outnumbered. She made a wise call, and any real leader would value the lives of their people AND know when a battle cannot be won. Varian had a good, long life. Now it is time for Anduin to become king and take up his fathers mantle.
Victory or death, ha? This goes against the very core principal of the horde, but Sylvanas is smart enough to ignore it. Though gotta admit, we Horde are at the shame here.
I disagree. The Horde was completely overrun up to the point where their warchief was mortally injured and even fucking Thrall was incapable of fighting (due to exhaustion? he doesn't seem injured). I hate it how both cinematics portray the Horde as traitors even tho they really had no choice.
I'm watching this, but they DID have a choice. They could've done what Varian did. Sacrafice. They could've sent some people to help the alliance, Sylvannas herself could've gone and sacraficed herself for the horde. Instead the ran and let someone else have to sacrifice themselves. If Varian didn't sacrafice himself the Alliance would've lost a large part of it's leadership, which would've made them useless in the fight against the legion.
You send a group of the horde troops there to help the alliance evacuate as the rest of the horde members evacuate. Or you send sylvannas herself? Idk why you're asking a question with an obvious answer.
Sylvanas does have a habit of stabbing her allies in the back and using the weapon of her enemies, doesn't she? First Wrathgate, then the war against Gilneas for no reason, the using of the Val'kyr to desecrate the dead and create abominations and now this. Why don't you just go to Icecrown and ask for the helm of damnation while you're at it, Sylvanas?
So black and white. Sylvannas had nothing to do with what happened at the wrath gate. That was all putrid and the dreadlord who were behind that. Sylvannas was almost assasinated and driven out of the Undercity. Her war on gilneas wasn't for no reason. The worgen were becoming a problem for her and she had to deal with them. As for what happened here, you can tell she was torn by having to abandon the alliance and retreat but she did it because otherwise all of the horde would have been slaughtered.
She Invades Gilneas because Garrosh wants a port in Lordaeron not because Worgen was a problem. The Gilnean could barely handle their own country due to the fact they went through a civil war, let alone messing with Sylvanas.
XyrasS She had a dreadlord as her right hand...a Dreadlord! Why the fuck would you ever trust a dreadlord?! Manipulation is their game so why would Sylvanas even allow him there to begin with??? She's responsible for what happened cause she kept the dreadlord around Thinh Vo And that's not an atrocity how?
Why don't people get it when Varian says ' For the Alliance' , he means He saved the Alliance Leadership by dooming himself and letting the Sky-ship go free from the fel-reaver. Also its a stark difference from the Legion cinematic where he says ' For Azeroth' because at the point of death point he thinks the Horde betrayed the Alliance.
Perhaps. He certainly never would have retreated. He would have done anything that would allow the horde to keep the demons at bay. And where was Grommash when you needed him? We saved his ass in the Hellfire Citadel and he is nowhere to be seen at least for now. Same goes for Yriel.
+Jens Olesen I'm pretty sure Blizz already announced that all alternate draenor Characters won't play any role in Legion. Pretty dumb, especially after what Yrel said in the last WoD Cinematic.
Not sure about that, Garrosh hated alliance with a passions, about as much as Legion, though funny thing is it probably could've turned into "hey.. that alliance bastard is getting more kills then me" and go attack some demons until they probably would've both died.
Thats the reasion why the worgens fight sylvanas in stormheim :) what a bittersweet iron i hope we can unite alliance and horde and fight together. Anduin is for sure a good king i think he will unite both with sylvanas maybe the make a baby :D !/sarcasm off :D
honestly, Sylvanas needs to go. Baine really shoulda been the new Warchief. that and I'm not sure how Well Sylv is gonna make out when she runs into both her sisters, especially since Alleria has about a thousand years more combat experience and void powers now.
Im horde since i first started in warcraft orcs and humans i always had a great affinity to the orc(Horde) side... But Varian`s sacrifice and the way he remined stedfast at Guldan`s words is... THE MOST BADASS THING I HAVE EVER SEEN IN A WARCRAFT CINEMATIC. You will be remembered Lo`Gosh
If you remember, since Garrosh's death, he no longer can communicate with the elements very well. He is basically powerless compared to what he used to be.
I think what a lot of people miss is that had the Horde stayed, the entire leadership would have been wiped out: Voljin was out, Thrall was down, Baine was defending Thrall, and the demons would have taken that hill either way. If Sylvanus hadn't sounded that horn, they'd have lost the upper ground and the Alliance would have committed all of their forces, only to be flanked and utterly destroyed as well. No matter what anyone says, Sylvanus saved the leadership of the Horde and prevented further decimation to the Alliance. All hail the Warchief!
And before that there was a scene were Baine although got hit quite badly where Thrall stepped in... to be hit badly too. There was no way the Horde could hold on since when you play the scene as a horde player more and more of the big baddiesfrom the previous addons appeared from the portals.
You can see from the expression on her face that Sylvanas had a difficult time making the decision to retreat. She knew what it meant, and knew that she had just been given the order to do it. Whether or not she would've done it without being ordered to, I'm not sure, but knowing her lore I'm pretty sure she wants to put off her next death as long as possible. The alliance didn't know what happened to us and why we had to retreat, and I feel like we're going to have some faction conflict at a rather bad time because of it. We'll see what Blizz has planned for us xD
@@joew9690 Had nothing to do with the Mak'Gora rules. Magic is not banned unless agreed to before hand, in spite of what the movie said. The reason he lost his power is guilt and doubt over his use of power. Yeah, I know. I think it's gay too.
AJ Ward Not really, Garrosh was always a impulsive brute, the only thing that changed in Cata is that he didn't have Thrall over him to put him in line... and that he was the warchief.
Garrosh was felt shamed of the decision of Grom as people the Fel corrupted Draenor and Thrall came and told him off his father's deeds when he freed the orcs from Demon influence in Warcraft 3
3:21 Guldan: "You will be remembered, as the king who sacrificed his life... FOR NOTHING!" Varian: "For the alliance!" Guldan: "Bitch you ruined my taunt, and now made yourself look badass! If there were people watching this, I'd look like a total bitch! Fuck you!"
Goddamn it, we just got Vol'jin! Why?! Also pissed about Varian, but damn it, Vol'jin was such a cool dude. But, hey, we finally have Sylvanas ruling shit.
The funny/sad thing is that Vol jin will be remember as the guy who did a shit ton of important stuff before he became warchief, and did absolutely nothing after he became warchief. :(
Idk why all the fighting between horde an alli.. Vol'jin knew the severity of the threat both the horde and alliance face and they obviously were being overrun so retreat was the smartest decision.. If they stayed and died the alli would be taken out by guldan.. Without the horde there would be no alliance
Seeing this from the Horde perspective really changes the entire approach I had to Legion. (Formerly been a horde player ONLY, Blizzard.. Y u make me think ma old broda's be bad mon?)
To piggy back on what you were saying--This could also mean that the idea of a lasting peace between the two is nonexistent for now. As Varian was the de facto leader of the Alliance overall, a lot of people will want revenge for what they perceive as Sylvanas' betrayal. Which also ties into Shalamayne being split into it's two parts and both sides seeing a different part.
After watching both cinematics Alliance fmatics, you should realize that if all of them stayed, Azeroth would have been destroyed with no affective resistance (other than the scourge and Old Gods). I can tell Sylvanas knew both factions was not prepared at the end of this :"•{
did no one else see Varian leave the field of battle? He retreated as well, the alliance just got caught in a horrible pinch even dire then the hordes dilemma so he knew he had to sacrifice himself. He chose to retreat just as much as the others. They just got caught out. If the horde had got caught out i am sure someone would have done the exact same thing. luckily they where able to get out on time. Varian made the ultimate sacrifice yes, but he originally never "chose to stay and fight" hes not that stupid.
Yeah, we were out numbered and being slaughtered. so Vol'jin ordered a retreat, which Sylvanas unhappily led. Then after our retreat Varian ordered a retreat. If we had all stayed and fought Azeroth would be a black hole already.
"Victory or Death", the Horde loves to chant. But when it's actually time to make those words mean something, they run away like cowards. Meanwhile, it is the leader of the Alliance who embraces those words.
Victory or death mostly just leads to death. It's a stupid mantra and thankfully it's one Sylvanas doesn't believe in. Gg, your king is dead now and the Alliance is ruled by a ladyboy.
Jacomo65 That would also work. Anyway both factions consists of retards and I really want to leave them. At least Demon Hunters are more neutral as they can talk to each other.
I thought about it a long time ago. A third faction might add a twist to the game. Imagine a neutral team, which can either join Horde or Alliance for the sake of balance or simply sit on the fence watching reds and blues cutting each other's throats!
The Horde did a sound strategical move. They now have most of their leadership intact to continue the war. The Alliance - and their stupid Internet agitators - may whine but had the Horde held their ground, the result would not have been different aside from that the Horde would not be in a position to aid in the future. Thankfully, the Alliance leaders - aside from Jaina and Greymane - all seem to actually realize this since they set "hey, figthing the Horde is for the dumb" and move on.
Alliance takes on multiple boss demons and kills them --> Horde overrun by trash mobs and loses, not to mention the horde airship was as useless as ever too. At this point we can't even call it "fighting" the horde, it would just be extermination as they seem incapable of doing any actual fighting.
Sadly Jaina and Greymane both begin dissenting against the other Alliance leaders before their king's corpse is even cold. We'll have to deal with both their escapades soon enough, mark my words.
tgr101 Tough forces for the Horde maybe, but that doesn't say much as they'd probably lose to the level 1 critters dotted around the map, judging from what I've seen.
+Richard Shiflett Cute, blame the Horde for surviving against 10 to 1 odds. The Alliance losses are their own, they chose not to retreat until it was too late. Deal with it.
As a fan of both the horde and the alliance I wish we could go one expansion with the two working together. If there was ever a time to have a unified horde and alliance this was it.
figured there would be more of it than that....I 've only seen it ingame from Alliance side. Thanks ...now I understand why the Horde retreated....even if they hadn't, the Alliance would have had to retreat anyway
Sylvannas made the most difficult decision covering for the Alliance from the skies as the Horde Leaders are in danger. The Alliance did not know and see what has been happening up there.
Vol'jin: "Do not let the Horde die this day..."
Sylvanas: "Ok. But next expansion."
Say what you want but she did save the Horde this day.
On ally side: " I KNEW IT !! I KNEW SHE COULDN'T BE TRUSTED!!" :))
Vol'jin: They are coming from behind!

For the Alliance...
but... then... what would the expansion be about?
How does them retreating help the people who's flank they're protecting?
gcsmith
By calling of the attack so they can regroup?`
How is that not logical by any kind of warfare? Live to fight another day.
Yeah because grom didn't sacrifice him self.Because Varok's brother( i forgot his name) didn't killed a buncho of demons just to give time to the pussy night elves during th war of ancients( sorry for my bad english)
Kamil - Grom doomed Draenor and his people and he only tried to redeem himself. What Varian did was different.
Oh wow Varian died like a boss O.o
Horde>Alliance
I was sad to hear that Varian would die, but this kind of death is fitting a great warrior and king. : )
naw, to die like that, and put a tomb without a body in Stormwind, sorry but all Gul'dan did was take his soul, expect a cliffhanger in the following patches.
Hopefully... we get a new Death Knight along the lines of the original REAL Death Knights.
I was there...on that hilltop....greatest shame of my life....
Yeah, and I was there in the valley. Fuck you for running away.
jijonbreaker A soldier obeys the orders of their superiors....no matter how much they would rather not....
The Horde failed Azeroth
***** The Horde should have held them back better, the Alliance were coping had the Horde been more prepared this wouldn't have happened
That may be a good excuse, but they were cowards nonetheless.
You make a pact to work together, you work together until the end, both live or both die.
They left without saying nothing, thats full cowardice, you should never go full coward.
The least she could do was warn the alliance.
#HordeDickMove
The Horde is the underdog. their forces though elite but few in numbers. They were not prepared for the unlimited spawning of demons.
If the Horde were cowards in this vid, so were the Alliance. They both retreated when about to be overrun.
Well they did Blow a horn for retreat.
MamboJambo
"She expected that to be heard on the other side of a "?hill?", in the middle of the battle."
If you look at the Alliance side video, it was.
And actually this is exactly the purpose of horns, to be heard in the middle of a battle to indicate retreat for exemple.
"She CHOOSE the Horde over the Alliance."
She choose to try to save the life of her warchief and all of her faction, her people, yes. What did you expect ? Betrayal and let them all die ?
Any Alliance leader would have do the same and choose to save their people over the one of the rivals.
But i guess it's bad and treason only if the Horde does it.
Come on.
up voting for the quote not the hail the banshee queen

You realize you're saying only Varian is a true leader since he's the only one who stayed behind? If you're trying to insult the horde, you're also insulting the Alliance. I don't think you thought that line through.
I think he did. The Alliance weren't abandoning anyone but their enemies.
Alliance stayed and fight. Varian decided to stay back, to give his people a chance to escape like a true leader would do. Sylvanas ran like a coward leaving everyone including the alliance to die. From these movies, I doubt she would even manage to escape if it wasn't for Varian's sacrifice.

It would have been nice if someone at least tried to tell the Alliance. One of Sylvanas' scouts could have made her way down to there and simply said "We're being overrun in the hundreds! We're falling back!"
Disappointing to lose the battle, sure, but at least as a unit.
Then we would have had way less conflict between the factions afterwards.
Or maybe just a "I'm so very sorry." from Sylvanas afterwards would have sufficed.

NEVER
*heavy gulp of mountain dew* Ackshually, it was Saurfang who made the quote, not Garrosh.
There is no honor in suicide, and it’s not cowardice to retreat from a lost battle.
Only a fool needlessly throws their life away.
Ask death they know about honor most.. if u understand me. Stand and die for nothing is stupid retreat to back fight another Day is point.
He would have fucking stayed there and hacked until nothing was standing
I cried so hard when he said ''for the alliance..''.

You wanna pay respect for Warcraft's Hitler? Even as a Hordie I think this still makes way more sense than Garrosh ever being given the Warchief title
You know that the Alliance is badass when they own even the Horde cinematic
Right
Where would those people come from to help the alliance?
You send a group of the horde troops there to help the alliance evacuate as the rest of the horde members evacuate. Or you send sylvannas herself? Idk why you're asking a question with an obvious answer.
What you haven't seen is that the Horde was fighting against much more demons as the alliance did just before this cinematic.
Monkonmunky Wild Worgen. Gilneas had become worgens like a day before the forsaken attacked
She Invades Gilneas because Garrosh wants a port in Lordaeron not because Worgen was a problem. The Gilnean could barely handle their own country due to the fact they went through a civil war, let alone messing with Sylvanas.
how exactly was Wrathgate Sylvanas doing?
XyrasS She had a dreadlord as her right hand...a Dreadlord! Why the fuck would you ever trust a dreadlord?! Manipulation is their game so why would Sylvanas even allow him there to begin with??? She's responsible for what happened cause she kept the dreadlord around
Thinh Vo And that's not an atrocity how?
What would make this cinematic complete is Varian's voice from the twisting nether asking, 'Where were my heals?'
the part when Baine looks at the val'kyr coming from the sky gave me the chills
Why don't people get it when Varian says ' For the Alliance' , he means He saved the Alliance Leadership by dooming himself and letting the Sky-ship go free from the fel-reaver.
Also its a stark difference from the Legion cinematic where he says ' For Azeroth' because at the point of death point he thinks the Horde betrayed the Alliance.
So much for the immortal troll shadow hunter with the rocking hair.
If garrosh was the warchief , varien would live
Agree but perhaps it would leave a bad stench on legion considering WoD's unpoppularity.
Not sure about that, Garrosh hated alliance with a passions, about as much as Legion, though funny thing is it probably could've turned into "hey.. that alliance bastard is getting more kills then me" and go attack some demons until they probably would've both died.
No, if Garrosh was warchief entire alliance and horde be dead lol
On the Alliance side they don't know why the Horde retreated.
They think they were betrayed yet again.
If only they knew :\
Varian knew in the end. When ha saw all those demons suddenly coming up the cliff of the Dark rangers location
Wow, I can't wait to watch the horde version!
What happend green jesus ? you used to be chevere.
Too much sex with Aggra, not enough practice in combat.
Pigs love to fly.
If you remember, since Garrosh's death, he no longer can communicate with the elements very well. He is basically powerless compared to what he used to be.
Elements hate him for killing Garrosh.
Also he ain't that old, i think he is 40 or something like that.
Actually no the elements don't give a shit he is blocking himself because he keeps blaming himself for what happened with Garrosh.

Victory or death :^)
The Alliance can hate Sylvanas however much they want, she made the decision only a leader can make.
So they nerfed Green Jesus or what?

He was able to make an earthen bridge during the broken shore scenario. I guess all he can do now is just whack people with his silly hammer.

Co'z he don't keep a conditions of Mac'gora and use earthen and Lightening magic to kill Garrosh during the end of WoD.
@@joew9690 Had nothing to do with the Mak'Gora rules. Magic is not banned unless agreed to before hand, in spite of what the movie said. The reason he lost his power is guilt and doubt over his use of power. Yeah, I know. I think it's gay too.
The Horde died with Garrosh in Northrend. Damn the Horde!
Garrosh didn't die in Northrend lol

AJ Ward Not really, Garrosh was always a impulsive brute, the only thing that changed in Cata is that he didn't have Thrall over him to put him in line... and that he was the warchief.

Does it mean something? Whaddya think?
That was a really nice catch, I wonder what it symbolizes.
Two halves of a whole. Both lost a valuable ally in Varian's death.
To piggy back on what you were saying--This could also mean that the idea of a lasting peace between the two is nonexistent for now. As Varian was the de facto leader of the Alliance overall, a lot of people will want revenge for what they perceive as Sylvanas' betrayal. Which also ties into Shalamayne being split into it's two parts and both sides seeing a different part.

did no one else see Varian leave the field of battle? He retreated as well, the alliance just got caught in a horrible pinch even dire then the hordes dilemma so he knew he had to sacrifice himself. He chose to retreat just as much as the others. They just got caught out. I know I'm late but he didn't retreat till horde abandoned them
The Horde retreats...again
Yeah, we were out numbered and being slaughtered. so Vol'jin ordered a retreat, which Sylvanas unhappily led. Then after our retreat Varian ordered a retreat. If we had all stayed and fought Azeroth would be a black hole already.
I guess that makes the Horde smarter.

We'll have to deal with both their escapades soon enough, mark my words.
tgr101 Tough forces for the Horde maybe, but that doesn't say much as they'd probably lose to the level 1 critters dotted around the map, judging from what I've seen.
cute, you praise horde weakness and cowardice. the horde had one job and they failed completely.
+Richard Shiflett Cute, blame the Horde for surviving against 10 to 1 odds. The Alliance losses are their own, they chose not to retreat until it was too late. Deal with it.
Doctor: Vol'jin, you need more calcium to stop your tusks from breaking off from just falling over.
As a fan of both the horde and the alliance I wish we could go one expansion with the two working together. If there was ever a time to have a unified horde and alliance this was it.
I’m still sad tho. Give me my daddy Vol’jin back.
It's funny how the Horde's thing is "VICTORY OR DEATH" yet it's Varian who exemplified that better than anyone on the Horde.
That's the orc slogan, they don't run the show anymore.
He died so the Alliance could retreat you idiot
Fun story time: pretty much everyone got death instead of victory, which went to the legion on this one. This entire outing was doomed to begin with.
You are the same piece of shit that was on the Alliance cinematic. Also, to be specific that is Garrosh's slogan.
I guess someone forgot about frostridge finale cinematic
figured there would be more of it than that....I 've only seen it ingame from Alliance side.
