Hi great video. I bought one of these recently and i find even with the screen brightness turned up high during daylight i have a lot of glare and its hard to see the screen if only i could adjust up more with brightness would be great but i dont know what elase i can do do you have any tips . Thank you regards Mark
You can try changing the mount angle of the radio so the screen is aimed slightly downwards, or, you could fabricate some sort of visor for the screen (think of a baseball cap style visor).
Have to double check, but I believe if you press and hold them, they will become moveable on the screen. Not sure you can get rid of the icons, but moving them should be possible (for a preferred order)
Unfortunately no, it cannot be installed upside down (that we are aware of). You might (no confirm on this) be able to disassemble the screen portion and flip it around, but doing so would void any warranty coverage I am sure. RAM size specs are not provided, on any name brand receivers, as it is not deemed as important and you are not able to load applications etc. RAM is/can be important for load speeds, but again, these specs are not provided.
Yes the steering wheel control will work with any analogue steering control equipped vehicle. The Skoda may be CAN-BUS based though (digital) so you may need an SWC interface module.
Not that I am aware of, no split screen mode on this. With that said, you could play Spotify and navigate at the same time, if connected via your phone using CarPlay or Android Auto for example
You would need to connect to the A/V input, but the radio does not come with the input connector, this is additional purchase. Installation of a mini-jack A/V cable (not supplied) is required before use.
Make sure you get a small cable to attach your phone to the radio. Really impacts the auto system connectivity
Like how small ? 1ft?

Or one model up has an anti-glare screen. The 3250 model.
Do you recommend replacing speakers or this system will make music sound better than generic factory stereo?
Without a doubt
Do I need to download the update onto a USB stick and then plug it into the head unit USB to update the system ?
Good video, thanks… you mentioned at 1:13 that the icons are selectable, do you know how to remove or reorder them?

No volume knob? I thought you liked that? And Sony has it?
I do love volume knobs, but no, the Sony does not have one, neither do the Nakamichi radios.
@@bschlach yes it does, but the XAV-AX1000 is an old model, that is discontinued now (you might be able to find one but they are no longer sold new)
Can you change the button's lighting color?
On this model, no you cannot.
How do you get rid of the demo display
You have to go into the settings menu to turn off
Steering control will work with skoda cars ? it has analog controls, Skoda Rapid 2016

You can turn off the button beep within the settings menu of the radio
@@LockdownSecurity thank you! Finally found it. It's not in sound settings, it's in general lol
Do you do the rear view camera install too?
Yes we offer rear camera installation as well.
Will this fit on a 1 din slot with the screen outside the stereo hole?
Yes it will, but probably will not look so good. It is designed as a single din chassis, but for mounting in double DIn opening
@@LockdownSecurity thank you!
How do i get the radio play youtube vedios or just vedios

Can it be connected wirelessly?
Im pretty sure this model uses a cord to connect to your phone
You can connect via bluetooth for audio, but for android auto to work it needs to be plugged in.
How do you keep it from going into sleeping mode or display mode I'm not sure what to call it
Feed it lots of red bull. Lol just joking, go into display settings and turn screen saver or demo mode functions off.
Has CD /DVD fecilty ?!
No, none of the Sony receivers with Apple CarPlay have CD/DVD
Le puedes conectar un reproductor de cd portatil por el av/in
