this is the only review that shows how quick the backup camera shows up after we switch to Reverse gear right after we power on our engine! i have an old pioneer double din headunit that only shows backup camera after 15 seconds engine power on. Very very good review! thanks!!!

Remember the XAZ-XA5500 and up are a few more dollars but not only do they have more features they have 3 year warranty as apposed to the lower model have a 1 year warranty.

Very good review! Did you have a chance to test the screen in sunlight? I just had this unit installed in my 2011 Tacoma and any sunlight washing over the screen makes it nearly impossible to see! Would love to hear your take on this problem. Thanks!

Thank you for this video. Just had it installed on 2013 CTS. Pros and Cons. But, for price of everything, fairly satisfied. My biggest complaint is the ability for the radio to play regular stations. It's range is lil short. But, all I have to do is connect Android to radio, and viola!, there ya go. I connected Web Cast, meh!! take or leave it. The neat thing you taught me, is the ability to change screen saver! Loved that option! As for sound, no complaints at all!. CTS came with Bose, but, thinking this Sony sounds a tad bit better!

Hello: Watched several videos and couldn't figure out how to reset the clock to the right time and date after the battery was replaced in car... Here are the exact instructions for any of your viewers who may run into the same issue. From Sony website: The clock set automatically is not accurate. The clock data on radio waves is not accurate. Press HOME, select [Settings] [General] [Date/Time] [Set Date/Time], then set to [Manual]. After that, touch (register/setup) and adjust the clock manually.
Does the video from the USB drive have to be a very specific format and resolution, or can it downscale it from 4k or 1080 down to the native screen resolution?
Im not getting the import or plus icon when i plug in usb for adding a new wall paper ..they are jpeg format and under the size requirements....anybodys help would appreciated

The wiring is very simple. The easiest way to do this is to ground the parking brake wire (light green) to the ground wire (black). You don't necessarily need a switch.
I'd check the wiring first. The mic uses a mini headphone jack that plugs into the back of the unit and it can easy become unplugged during an install. If it's not working at all, it's likely that it came unplugged or the wire is severed somewhere.
Thanks for the video. Do you know if it is possible to move the single din body to the bottom of the screen and have the “space” behind at the top? I have space for a double din, but need the body to be at the bottom. It seems only the Alpine iLX-705D offers the 2 options. I’m just not a fan of the look of the Alpine unit.
good video very thorough, I just purchased this unit from crutchfield and plan to install it myself I have the factory radio, and an audiocontrol dm-608 with a 5 channel amp, gonna switch out the factory radio and still use the dm-608 do you think it's better to use all pre-amp outputs or do I only need 2 channels?
I just got charged $250.00 to install it at Rollin Sound in Jacksonville Florida and it was a ripoff. It only took him 15 minutes. Make sure you get the remote and a backup camera. The license plate backup cameras are cheap. He didn't even ask me if I wanted him to install the backup camera and now I don't have one. I am so pissed off. Be careful and do it yourself. There are great tutorials on RUclips on Installing these.
Once we will connect to IPhone then how to avoid iPhone charging while using it, because when it is connected to Sony Player it get charging continuously untill we will not remove our iPhone from USB and if our iPhone fully charged then it might possible that our iPhone battery get drain for charging after 100% so in order to avoid this how can we prevent IPhone charging while connecting to Sony player.
No, CarPlay is wired on this unit. I put a link to our recommended wireless CarPlay adapters in the description if you're looking to add wireless CarPlay to this unit though.

Technically, yes, you can. But if you're looking to add multiple cameras to this Sony I'd recommend something like the PAC VS41 Camera Switcher so that it all goes into a single feed and into the head unit's 'backup camera' input

Yes you can. As long as you have Google Maps on your device, you can use it on this stereo. It should appear in the apps screen.
