Hoping for an update on this project. Did you end up tracking down the original owner in Cooma? Would love to see where it’s at now.

Hi GT, really enjoying these early girl Commodore projects and can't believe how well these cars have survived despite living in paddocks and wrecking yards for 20 years plus! I live in the UK and have restored a 1984 Opel Monza. During the restoration I was confronted with rust in places that I could not believe was possible after owning many early Commodores in Australia! Anyway, I am interested in that door hinge alignment tool that you were using; the K228. Any idea where I can get my hands on one of those? Keep up the brilliant work mate, I'm off to the Spa 24hr Classic shortly with a bunch of other Monza enthusiasts and will be spreading the word regarding this channel.

Great little series, thanks, GT. Reminds me of my 1984 VK that I had in the early 2000's. Think I might just keep an eye open for one of these early ones!

I'm surprised that people don't put the Bathurst flare guards and spoilers on them that would look tuff on a street car , similar to the SLR And the A9X , thing mate the VK commodore looked tuff at Bathurst with the flares and spoilers

Yes, possibly but difficult with a road car as the hubs need to be strengthened/swapped etc. And this old car is cool just the way it is!

Mrs Richards: " I paid for a room with a view!"
Basil: (pointing to the lovely view) " That is Torquay, Madam."
Mrs Richards: "It's not good enough!"
Basil: "May I ask what you were expecting to see out of a Torquay hotel bedroom window? Sydney Opera House, perhaps? the Hanging Gardens of Babylon? Herds of wildebeest sweeping majestically past?..."
Mrs Richards: "Don't be silly! I expect to be able to see the sea!"
Basil: "You can see the sea, it's over there between the land and the sky."
Mrs Richards: "I'm not satisfied. But I shall stay. But I expect a reduction."
Basil: "Why?! Because Krakatoa's not erupting at the moment ?"
