I could be wrong but looks like it might’ve been a rehearsal run through for the tribute show @Lincoln Center. And whoever got in for that was lucky and attended.
This was at the 4-hour mark in the show, around 12 midnight. People started leaving. It was a packed house though. It was an unbelievable tribute to Chick.
I was there. 4 hours of bliss. What a great tribute to the greatest Jazz keyboard, composer, and band leader of all time. He is missed.
