I got my Ugly Dock runner for 5 months now and put ABU Garcia Max Z size 10 reel I'm very impressed with it so far it got my my PB sunfish is my go to for trout fishing in small streams with thick brush don't get hung up as much then a 6 foot or 5'4" foot rod. And the Dock runner is medium power moderate Action works perfect.
I keep forgetting you southern folk dont have pike in the lakes...lots of them up in Michigan, fun to catch. We recently caught a 24in and 26in using 8lb mono believe it or not
