I got my Ugly Dock runner for 5 months now and put ABU Garcia Max Z size 10 reel I'm very impressed with it so far it got my my PB sunfish is my go to for trout fishing in small streams with thick brush don't get hung up as much then a 6 foot or 5'4" foot rod. And the Dock runner is medium power moderate Action works perfect.

Finally I know the name of those dame things from the canals at night we would dip net! What about “the clams” what’s there name? We just called them freshwater clams! Had a 60 gallon aquarium that had them and most a bit of everything from the canal in that thing! Even a baby gar that was so small I only managed to catch it from scoooping up mud and grass to!, it wasn’t much more round then a pencil led ! One of the coolest catch’s! One evening I thought I was catching tadpoles I found and looked closer and realized that these tadpoles had whiskers ! lol and then figured I had me some mud cat fry!,

Finally after all these years !! Maybe know they will believe some of my fish stories ! Growing up on the west bank and in my pursuits to being involved in absolutely everything and anything outdoor related !As a teenager I fished and then some in the local drainage and outfall canals that fed into the intracoastal waterway! Before I could even drive I even made an 8’ flat boat from one sheet of plywood and I was forever in the canals bye that point! There’s something a little more “close” when you are passing 8’ alligators and sea planes taking off and landing!,snapping turtles slightly larger then the one you have posted in an 8’ boat!😄 are how about having a friend with you mst the time and only having about 2-3” freeboard of boat left to add to that! Hell I had a friend in meterie and we actually caught some Texas blue cichlids out of the canal on esplanade and then drove to the local pet shops that they most likely came from at some point and sold them to them! Awsome to see that explorer and hunter nature with that curiosity and love of the land and animals continuing on! If you ever like a little company to drown some worms or something hmu! I live in Mississippi these days but it seems someone else is on the north shore perhaps!
