- Make sabudana snacks 3 different ways!! Sabudana also known as sago seeds is a preferred ingredient in cooking when you want to eat light, healthy food. In this video, I have shared 3 different ways to make sabudana snack, one is a fried version which is a traditional recipe, another version is with less oil, and a third version with extremely less oil, practically zero oil! I have also shared recipe for green chutney which is refreshing and very flavorful.

Ingredients for sabudana snack:
Sabudana/sago seeds 1 cup
Curd/plain yogurt 1 cup
Chopped onions 4 tbsp
Rice flour 6 tbsp/as required
Salt 1 1/4 tsp
Cumin seeds 1 tsp
Coriander leaves 3 tbsp
Green chili 3 or as per taste
ginger paste 2 tsp
Water 1/2 cup for soaking + 5 tbsp or as required
Oil for frying/cooking as required
Ingredients for chutney
Coriander leaves with stalks 1 cup ( rinsed and drained)
Mint leaves, a handful (if available)
Green chili 3
Ginger 1 small piece
lemon juice 2 tsp
Plain Besan boondi 6 tbsp or as required
Salt pink 1/2 tsp
salt white 1/3 tsp
sugar 1 tsp (optional)
Ice chilled water 5 tbsp/ ice cubes
Besan boondi is used as an ingredient to thicken chutney. You may instead use sev/gathiya/bhujia/roasted chana/chana namkeen.
For a creamy texture like that of sandwich chutney, you may use 2 tbsp roasted peanut together with 3-4 tbsp of boondi or substitutes.
The timings in airfryer are for a general idea. Each gadget is different. keep a constant watch while making first batch in airfryer.

I like the recipe and also the narration....😊👍 . Only few cooks have an equally good narration and you get the urge to hear them. Generally sabudana is quite away from onions .... considering it as a common ingredient to make recipes during fasts. Little un usual combination but nice share, will try for sure!

Thanks a ton! You could use the batter next day. You might need to adjust consistency at time of cooking by adding water or rice flour as required.
This is a very good recipe. I used to make it very often. My favourite dish. But air frying and making in appe pan is a new idea.

Damini I haven't tried this recipe with any other flours; however I do plan to try a few combinations for the Navratras. Will share the recipe after my experimentation.
