    I was so happy to see the mismatched pan and cover. It's in every kitchen, just happy to see a food creator not striving for the perfect aesthetic in anything other than your food. The recipe is amazing, btw. I've already soaked my dal and will be making this for breakfast tomorrow.

    Today I learned
    1 eno can be use alone
    2 eno alternate of packing powder not backing soda
    3 backing soda with curd work like backing powder and eno.

    I am eating this from childhood. I am maharashtrian and my mom used to make this recipe in 90’s when there was no internet and I make this everyday in USA, Its my husband’s favourite dish , mung ka chilla, it even taste good if you soak green mung instead of yellow mung dal.

    I made this today with my own ingredients. Whole wheat flour, besan, buckwheat flour, sprouted oats, sooji, vegetables and it was amazingly good because it is the first time I am making this. Thanks Kunal.

    I made the mistake of soaking the moong daal overnight so my pancakes were way too mushy. I added couple tablespoons of rice flour which made them better. Great healthy recipe overall !

    Thank you Kunal for this video. I was a hardcore non vegetarian before. But after researching on life of animals in farm, and what torture they goes through slow and painful death, it’s a horror how the egg, meat and dairy are coming to our plate.     I have been eating mix Dal chilla for last 40 yrs or so... my mother used to make it and I modified it by adding few more ingridients. I compliment it with tomato chutney.
    Very delicious and healthy too!

    Delicious looking...easy recipe. I would simply call it moong dal uttappam.
    Whatever the name, this is a healthy dish. I would even enrich its protein content by adding some paneer and its fibre by adding finely grated cabbages. Because that's how I make egg omelette. It would be a wholesome meal then.

    Thanks for this yummy recipe! Looks easy to make and healthy with goodness of dal and all the veggies 😋 I think we can up the healthy factor by using whole moong instead of split dal and making idlis (with same ingredients) thus avoiding oil completely.
