Looks great! I always have a supply of the adhesive pen loops, they are great and so cheap!

Day 2 of binge watching your videos! So glad I found your channel. Started my first bullet journal yesterday because of one of your first beginners videos. Made it so simple and not overwhelming. Thank you so much and look forward to more great content!

@@markyourpages Absolutely! I was really looking for an online journal and kept coming across videos that talked about Bullet Journaling... most of which I ignored because they were just so artsy and I thought well that's not me lol until your channel BTW your art work is great and makes me feel like I can do that as well. In the few days I feel like my anxiety has gone down and I have been able to tackle some projects that I just had no creativity or will to complete! Again thank you so much for all the amazing content you put out but also for putting it in a way that allowed me to put my pen to paper! Also love the fact that you are a left as well. Trying to be good and not order all "the cool kid stuff" lol but had to pick up some of your pen and other suggestions.

Awesome review! I love the gold and blue together too. I wish that my Hobonichi came with three bookmark tassels. I use an Archer & Olive bullet journal as for my social media planner. How does this bujo’s paper thickness compare to Archer and Olive’s?
Side note: I agree with you about the page numbers. I don’t like having to write them, either.

Great review! I feel you so hard on the page number thing. My 2023 journal will have page numbers as well 💕

I just filled a blush colored 2.0 notebook, and it's almost perfect. The deal breaker for me, and the reason why I will likely not go back to this product, is the margins. Too much space is wasted without dots and some of my spreads didn't work. I loved the little dots on each page for 1/2 and 1/3 spacing, the page numbers, the grid guide, and the reference booklet. I didn't love the lack of a pen loop, the pre-completed key (I don't use the exact same system), and the four pages of Index, but I could live with those. I tried the stickers in my future log, and hated them because the gold print was so light I could barely see it.

Oh interesting about the margins. I’ll have to keep that in mind when I start setting up my weeklies. It has a lot of great features, but certainly not perfect. But is there such a thing 😆

I actually love the margins, it gives my spreads an airy and light feel.

Great review Mark. I'm wondering how the 120gsm paper will stand up to the inks you use, it looks like it will suit your minimal with a twist aesthetic. I've just bought myself the book on the Bullet Journal method as a first step in setting one up. Looking forward to seeing where you go with this book.

Hey there. Thanks for checking out the video. I did a pen test in a previous video for the 120gsm LTs. It did very well with the flurry of items I threw at it. But not sure about some of the new ones. Excited to try and see.

Great video! Many thanks Mark. 🙏 Love the details throughout. I've just ordered it in the blue and very excited to use alongside my first Hobonichi Cousin. Can't wait to set them up and use in the new year!

    Great presentation.
    This new version seems interesting.
There is something that I hate with my current Leuchtturm 1917 notebook (will end this year) is that some pages are glued together.
    (between stitches)
    That infuriates me so much.
How is the binding of that new version?

    • @markyourpages
      @markyourpages  Год назад +1

Thanks for watching. I haven’t seen any issues with glued bindings. That sounds like a manufacturer and quality control error to me. I have a few of these notebooks (blue and black) and haven’t seen that in mine.

I was completely on board with getting one of these notebooks until I heard that it was 120 gsm. My last journal was 140 gsm and there was a lot of ghosting and bleed through from my fountain pens. My current one is a Yop & Tom which is 160 gsm and is great.

Paper type and quality plays such a big deal with these notebooks. I’ve had heavier paper ghost or feather with some inks, and I’ve used lighter weight and it’s been amazing. This is why I love doing these reviews and pen tests. Shows how things react before you buy. Thanks for checking out the video.

Are the pages white? Or are they more of a cream color??

    • @markyourpages

A slight cream color. But not bright white.
