My Dad, a career soldier, would never have had the thought to do manual labor. He assigned that task to me when i was 7 years old. The next 10 years were spent learning to repair things for the home.

From the beginning I’ve been enamored by the branch fences, so unique and just lovely. Good idea to ask the neighbors to donate their own logs to you and build all over the property. Your doggies continue to bewitch me, such intelligent eyes. Love your comfortable relationship, it’s such a pleasure to see, and Knoxie blends in perfectly. So much work, so much progress. It’s amazing you managed to get that huge concrete box out of the barn in one piece, I was sure the tires on the wheel loader were going to explode. The buildings certainly were built much more sturdy back then, they really built things to last, unlike modern construction. The dry hedge is looking lovely. A great start to the new year your busy family.
The loader was right at it's limit I would say, great job getting it done with no damage. A hot tub in a secluded place sounds like a wonderful idea for it. You got through so much, seeing you moving things around on the pallets I can understand why you want to be able to get it in there. Always smiling after your videos, thank you for that. ❤
I didn't realize how massive the barn was....definitely built to last! The stone wall is beautiful and the beams just look so heavy. Are the beams oak or maybe your dad knows, Simon. I can sympathize with old wood=hard wood. My 1884 apartment has its original door moldings. The wood is like iron & even drilling a hole is an adventure. Hi I have to admit, I always catch my breath a little when you happily remove beams from the building structure. But I assume that you have already looked at the static conditions beforehand and of course know what you are doing. 😅 Little Nox's smile is really sweet and she looks really cute in her little bear romper. I can understand Simon's passion for dry hedges. Unfortunately, I don't have enough space. But you can build them up over years, you have a few trees, so he doesn't have to steal branches from the neighbors 😉 GLG Nico

Nice green algae on the beautiful beams behind You, Bram! I'm sure the both of You will someday find a solution for it. Btw good idea keeping parts of the floor, is it reachable with Your beloved wheel loader? Than You can put palettes with wrapped stuff up there easily!
Progress is huge! Those beams are simply amazing. What is the type of wood they are made from? I guess its probably a fairly rare hardwood but have no idea. Nox is so lovely and how she pays attention to things - isnt that wonderful. Super week and cant wait for next!

AS fast as Nox is growing she will be carring you soon. Oh No it's leaking on your parade. In the old days if we had to muve something heavy we would lift it and use logs for rollers, pull it forward move the log to the front and rinse and repeat. That is one Big Bath Tub. Progress is huge! Those beams are simply amazing. What is the type of wood they are made from? I guess its probably a fairly rare hardwood but have no idea.

AS fast as Nox is growing she will be carring you soon. Oh No it's leaking on your parade. In the old days if we had to muve something heavy we would lift it and use logs for rollers, pull it forward move the log to the front and rinse and repeat. That is one Big Bath Tub. You always need room for the toys. Simon I like your hair the way it is. You can never have too many flat surfaces. Everyone needs shelves. PS Happy New Year.
