There's a channel here in America called "The Boring Channel" which he travels around the country cleaning and fixing people's yards for free and he does a long version of cleaning and sometimes will use the timelapse. His videos can be 2 hrs long. I love watching them. It's relaxing, especially when you have nice calming music.
I first found your detail channel a while back, and then this one was shortly after. While i love watching vehicle detailing and learned some good tips from you, this channel is right up my alley. I love trees and gardening, so it's been a treat watching your propety develop. I can actually picture it 20 years from now. My dad, back in the 80s, threw the 90s, planted over 3000 trees on my parents property. It is now the most beautiful forest with a trail threw it. I like to think thats where i got my love for trees :)
Wow, those weeds! I think you need a blade instead of a string for your trimmer. I’m so sorry to hear you have carpal tunnel issues, with everything you do it’s not surprising. I hope you can get help with it. The yard’s really coming along, it’s beautiful now, can’t wait to see it more mature. Happy New Year everyone!
Mitch I love all your channels but I especially love the Yard Geek series. Love all the hard work you are doing on your property. Have you considered purchasing a bush hog to deal with the weeds. You might want to look into one. It will really make a big difference. Good luck with those, they are monsters. Thank you for all the great content.
Mitch! You’re an animal!! Your work ethic and attention to the little things amazes me each time I watch your videos! You really are the embodiment of how a job, any job, should be done. Happy New Year from your friend in Palm Springs CA!!!
Mitch, great video- they make metal blades for trimming weeds and small trees. Amazon has a plethora of them. Thanks for sharing. Keep up the hard work- it will pay off. Ken
Congrats. It's amazing how many overlook the weed control long term benefits of mulch...the deeper the better. Low growing ground cover plants are beneficial too, but require tending until well established. Happy New Year and Aloha from Hawaii.
"Trying hard to be good little trees" lol I chuckled at that. Also, yes to live streams and real time videos. I like the music but love natural sounds. Sorry to hear you suffer with Carpal Tunnel too. I do as well and it's no fun. Great video as always 🫶🏽
Happy New Year, Mitch. I loved that you planted so many trees. Smart. Now that was some piles of mulch. You need to get someone in there to help you. Also smart not putting down landscape fabric. That seems to make more of a mess in the future. If you have a local extension office, like we have in the USA, you might want to talk to someone about fertilizer, etc, for the trees and plants and when it's advantageous to apply. Your property is really going to shine when those trees really get some growth.
Wow! I am amazed by your dedication and hard work. May you enjoy the fruit of your labor for years to come. Thank you for taking us along❤️🤗. Blessings!!
Livestreams aren't usually something I watch, but I would probably watch certain ones to get a better idea of what work has to go into something I want to do. I want to do something similar once I get my own channel actually started. First time visiting this channel, usually watch your car details on the other channel and enjoyed the studio series, like what I see here.
Hello Mitch for the trimmers, check on Ben from Flawless Cleaning. He lives in England and uses both a line trimmer and a blade trimmer. He gets his tools sponsored by Kress.
I almost watch the Detail geek videos. Wanted to say hello, wish you a happy new year and wanted to say thanks for the amazing guitar outros in your other videos 👍🏻 Very nice yard and impressed of your work! Greets from Germany!
I'd watch the livestream. Love all your content Mitch from both channels. It's been enjoyable watching as your property progresses. There are attachments made that might fit your trimmer to help cut through the brush. There are universal head attachments as well. Keep up the great work!
I've learned to increase the speed with certain videos where I want to watch the process, but not in real time. The only time it's inconvenient is when the creator talks over the video, but otherwise I like the ability to control the speed myself. Sometimes real time is good for background noise. Other times I'm genuinely focused on the video and don't need to watch it for 3 hours. lol Thanks for sharing!
Hi Mitch, great job you did to your garden, but still a lot of work to be don,i love to see how the garden is growing up.thanks for sharing and i hope to see more in the next video .😀👍💪🤳
Have you considered something like prodiamine for the weed control? As a pre emergent, it won't hurt your existing plants, and you wouldn't have to apply more than twice a year, limiting your chemical exposure
Looks great!! It's getting a little cold here in central Florida. My trees are shedding, and my grass is dying. But I'm already planning for spring. Can't wait to plant new flowers and remulch. You've done a fabulous job! I can't wait to see what you're going to do next.😊
There is a difference between wood chips and mulch that has composed. Honestly, a great grass seed would serve you better in large areas. You are a really hard worker, impressive!
I would love to see the contents you have. I am so happy to see it. You are one the you tubers' I love to watch. It so good to see someone doing dyi working then talking and saying nothing. I always enjoy your videos.
Your right fabric dosen't work it breaks down and weeds do pop through. So I started the weed control from lowes I shake it over the area before putting my rock in I use river rock. We just bought this home in July sold our other home I had my landscaping so pretty thats why the house sold so fast plus the inside was turn key. Now I need to start all over once spring returns I will be doing landscaping once again I do enjoy it❤
If you use a weed torch after a rain, weeds die down pretty well. We do that rather than Round Up. (They don't need to burn. The heat bursts cells, and the plants die.)
Assuming you are using a string trimmer that uses .095 diameter string you could try ECHO string called “Black Diamond” very strong string kinda expensive. Or find a cutting blade for your string trimmer head. I have a lawn care company and do multiple cleanups for people with thick weed debris and Black Diamond is our go to! Hope that helps! Always worth a shot! Cheers brother!
Another nice one. Looks like u need some heavy duty equipment (mower) for them weeds. I agree with limiting the chemicals and not using the fabric. As for the live stream- either seems fine, just as long as there’s content and a mix of it such as the camera work. Thanks for posting
You should look into a walk behind brush hog or one that can attach to the John Deere. It would make short work of the weeds until you get the grass planted.
I would love to see real time video and longer ones too. you are such a great motivator. you used to have longer detail geek videos and now they are shorter. I like to watch more detail for sure.
Since you want to limit the roundup try using straight vinger probably won’t kill all your weeds but I have found it works fairly well and it is definitely worth try. One other bonus it’s pretty inexpensive
Loving all the work your doing, its amazing to watch. We would love to see more videos, and even longer ones. 👍🏻😊 As for your weeder, there is lots of options for replacement parts, that provide solid plastic or metal blades. Something to look into.
In Australia we have metal blades (like a disc) that we can put on the brush cutter thats great for chopping through heavy duty weeds. I’m sure you have something similar. Great work by the way. Your place looks awesome.
Yard is looking good, it's getting there. Here in th UK you can get weed wackers with steel blades used by local authorities etc, just need to sharpen then every so often, depending what you are cutting. Love the drone shots by the way.👌👍👌👍
Saw you had a skid steer in the beginning. You should look into a brush cutter attachment. Will definitely lower time spent in the yard weed whacking and provide more time for other other reno projects.
You should look into a cover crop in your large open dirt areas like clover that would keep weeds to a minimum, plus it helps with nitrogen fixation.
Would love to see videos more often and even longer ones!

I love watching Kevin, and at the very least watching him is an education in technique!

I am happy that you are motivated to work design of the mulch on the grounds. What a stunning.
Metal mulching blade will make those weeds a thing of the past. Works wonders on blackberry brambles with main stalks around 1-2 inches.
Wow, those weeds! I think you need a blade instead of a string for your trimmer. I’m so sorry to hear you have carpal tunnel issues, with everything you do it’s not surprising. Happy New Year to you too.
Thank you! Happy new year to you as well!
Have you considered a bush hog deck for your John Deer? My dad used one on his Kubota to mow meadow areas on his property.
You need an Oregon mulching blade for that strimmer for the thick weeds.
Mitch I love all your channels but I especially love the Yard Geek series. Love all the hard work you are doing on your property. Have you considered purchasing a bush hog to deal with the weeds. Thank you! Appreciate the support, and happy new year to you too! 😄
So happy to see a Yard Geek video today.
Mitch, great video- they make metal blades for trimming weeds and small trees. Amazon has a plethora of them. Thanks for sharing. Keep up the hard work- it will pay off. Ken
I literally paused the video when you asked about live videos. That is a HELL YES. Okay, back to the video. By the way, I love the video.
I love the way you narrate your videos. It's so relaxing.
Love how’s it’s coming out, can’t wait for more episodes, I love watching it ❤
I would absolutely love to see things in real time!
Congrats. It's amazing how many overlook the weed control long term benefits of mulch...the deeper the better. Low growing ground cover plants are beneficial too, but require tending until well established. Happy New Year and Aloha from Hawaii.
Your yard space is really taking shape!! It's gonna look really impressive in like a few years
The truck emptying the mulch was sooooooooo satisfying! 😍
Right?! It was a beautiful thing to see!
Love how the yard is looking. It’s going to be beautiful
Thank you!
Mitch!! You need to rent a brush hog !! Im sure they must be available in Canada!! Game changer!!
Or rent the attachment!
SO agree!
There are many adaptive gardening tools available on line that will help with carpel tunnel. I wear wrist stabling gloves while I sleep.
I LOVE the live stream idea! Totally something I'd have going during my workday -- so I can occasionally look over and see how things are going
Ninja star for the weeds
Beautiful Mitch and I can't wait to see the final results when it's all done. I'll be here til the end thats for sure! U DA MAN MITCH !!
Idk if u have ever seen a steam weed killer. It’s a machine similar to a weed eater, but it used extreme hot steam to kill the weeds. No chemicals. 😊
"Trying hard to be good little trees" lol I chuckled at that. Also, yes to live streams and real time videos. I like the music but love natural sounds. Sorry to hear you suffer with Carpal Tunnel too. I do as well and it's no fun. Great video as always 🫶🏽

Great work Mitch! This just proves how much hard work you do into this yard and it shows.

Hello Mitch for the trimmers, check on Ben from Flawless Cleaning. He lives in England and uses both a line trimmer and a blade trimmer. He gets his tools sponsored by Kress.
Agree. Love Ben
I ❤️ all of my White brothers and sisters.
I almost watch the Detail geek videos. Wanted to say hello, wish you a happy new year and wanted to say thanks for the amazing guitar outros in your other videos 👍🏻 Very nice yard and impressed of your work!
Greets from Germany!
Thank you! Appreciate the support!! ❤️
What do you mean with you "almost watch" the videos? It seems like a weird compliment ahaha
I love how intentionally you are with your designs and planning. I always look forward to these videos.

Great work!
Thanks!

Enjoyed the video. Thanks.
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!
You do great work, Mitch.
Wow, I have never seen so much mulch! So glad to hear you don't want to use Roundup. It's looking beautiful and would love to see a live stream.
Looks great!! It's getting a little cold here in central Florida. My trees are shedding, and my grass is dying. But I'm already planning for spring. Can't wait to plant new flowers and remulch. You've done a fabulous job! I can't wait to see what you're going to do next.😊
Live stream and longer videos would be great! Thanks for sharing what you're doing on your acreage.
You probably are but incase you arent, alot of string works better if you soak it, but im sure there are metal blades that could fit your trimmer
There is a difference between wood chips and mulch that has composed. Honestly, a great grass seed would serve you better in large areas. You are a really hard worker, impressive!
I think you have a tractor, you could buy a tiller attachment to pull the weeds out of the ground by the roots
I would love to see the contents you have. I am so happy to see it. You are one the you tubers' I love to watch. It so good to see someone doing dyi working then talking and saying nothing. I always enjoy your videos.
Would absolutely love real-time. It's fun watching your property develop.
You are AMAZING!!!!! Someone instilled great work ethics in you. Your place is looking fantastic!!! Great job 👏👏👏👏👏👏
Thank you!
There's a thing called The Ninja Blade
In florida we have a cirlce blade that you attach to the weed wacker. You can go through small trees if you have to. You definitely need this.
I had carpal tunnel in both wrists…I had surgery on both like 7years ago…haven’t had a problem since!!!!
Me too! I had a hand surgeon do it in the office and no problems in the four years since.
Look up the ninja star attachment for your trimmer
Your yard is looking really good. It is coming along nicely.
Your right fabric dosen't work it breaks down and weeds do pop through. So I started the weed control from lowes I shake it over the area before putting my rock in I use river rock. Hi Mitch- live stream would be great! Really enjoyed the video! Thanks, Happy new year too! And to all the followers on both channels!
Same to you!
need to get yourself a wheeled/ walk behind trimmer. the blackberry bushes in my yard never stand a chance against mine.
If you use a weed torch after a rain, weeds die down pretty well. We do that rather than Round Up. (They don't need to burn. The heat bursts cells, and the plants die.)
Yes, livestream would be epic!!!
For your strimmer you can get a metal blade instead of a wire do the bottom of it ❤❤
I really enjoy watching the acreage come together. I would watch live streams, I learn a lot by watching you then looking up what I don't understand.
fantastic video Mitch ...
Thank you! Glad you like it!
I love watching the developments in your yard. It gives me ideas for mine. Keep the videos coming!
Assuming you are using a string trimmer that uses .095 diameter string you could try ECHO string called “Black Diamond” very strong string kinda expensive. Mixture of vinegar salt and dawn dish soap in a sprayer for those weeds. It will will turn them brown in a short time.
👍👍👍👍 looks absolutely beautiful Mitch
You should look into a walk behind brush hog or one that can attach to the John Deere. It would make short work of the weeds until you get the grass planted.
Livestreams would be good!
Get yourself a brush cutting blade. A good one will go through your toughest weeds and small, volunteer trees.
You can get a attachment for your Weedwhacker that is blades. You can get either of the metal or plastic variety.
This is awesome ! Like foundation for makeup such definition.
A 3 point mower deck for your tractor would do a number easily on those weeds.
I would love to see real time video and longer ones too. you are such a great motivator. you used to have longer detail geek videos and now they are shorter. I like to watch more detail for sure.
4:56 Good on you to have Mike help install your cameras.
Since you want to limit the roundup try using straight vinger probably won’t kill all your weeds but I have found it works fairly well and it is definitely worth try. One other bonus it’s pretty inexpensive
Personally I like the FF mode, but live stream it first then offer the FF for people like me who get bored easily lol. Thanks for sharing!
Loving all the work your doing, its amazing to watch. We would love to see more videos, and even longer ones. 👍🏻😊

Yes it is so nice to watch someone work, I’m a 70+ lady in the middle of a heat wave trying to avoid mowing my own lawns.
Heat wave in January are you down under?
Thank you for this video. This is so awesome. You rock. Keep rising shining star 🌟
Looks fabulous! Would love live stream videos too.
Saw you had a skid steer in the beginning. You should look into a brush cutter attachment. Will definitely lower time spent in the yard weed whacking and provide more time for other other reno projects.
Get a brush hog attachment for the Bob cat. To hell with those weeds.
Yes real time would be nice, great idea
Loved this video. Very relaxing. Your yard is starting to look fantastic!
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it!
I would love to watch longer more detailed videos. 😁
Get the ninja star attachment for your weed whacker!
omg thats going to be fun to watch
Loved the mulching process 👍
Fantastic video Mitch, keep up the good work.
I feel like you already know my answer 😂 but I vote a big huge YES to livestreams! 🎉
Great video. If I lived close, I definitely would give you a hand!!
Yard looks great! Would love the livestream as well
