Doesn't matter when it came out, or shouldn't. I get that it does for many people which is why you made the comment, but it's an all time great riff as it is

I played this for a music assessment at school a little while back and sped it up a little bit. Needless to say I got an A due to the awesomeness the Metal possesses

By the way U don’t have to use drop D just Standard Tuning Works Too all u have to do play 6th string Open it’s the same note

It's too bad these guys aren't very good teachers, because the riffs are some of the most amazing riffs in the history of many kind! They look fun as hell to play too! But it's so good, and they seem to have so much fun playing that I really enjoy watching these even though I can't seem to understand with them teaching lol.

Yeah these lessons aren't for beginners. They dont teach the songs note by note. but if you have some experience you can make out what they play by looking at the position of their hand on the fretboard.
This is so much easier than I thought it was gonna be.

Definitely an old school Mockingbird.Probably early 80's,when they were very high quality.They used Hawaiian koa wood on most of the ones I have seen. Reminds me of Joe Perry guitar

@guilepro "Drop D" means basically that you tune the low E String 1 step down..So from E to D.

@erorocknroll Tenes que agarrar un afinador electrico y bajar la 6 cuerda que en el standard es una E a una D o sino podes cambiarlo a oido pero no te va a quedar tan preciso como si usaras el afinador

Hmm, John's middle finger bends a little backwards at the tip joint when he frets a note. I do that with my ring finger sometimes but I've never seen it with a middle finger.
