my guess is they were programmed to only deal with human intruders who would try to steal weapons while the wildlife was still far away from the population at the time before being abandoned and taken over by nature
One extra thing about landmines. Sometimes they can spawn right infront or on emergency exits. If u step on it and exit the facility it will blow up once ur outside preventing any damage, similar to how teleporting saves you from it.

A couple points to add about turrets: If you leave the turret's line of sight when it locks onto you, but if you enter it again too quickly, it will begin firing. Basically, all that matters is that it can see you after that 1.5 seconds. When turrets are firing, they will not move to track you. This can be useful, for example if you are in a staircase railing room, you can have it start firing right as you jump down, and the turret will be shooting up while you are safely on the bottom floor. While turrets cannot shoot or first see you through doors, they CAN continue seeing you through doors, so long as they already saw you. When I first started playing the game, I got stuck behind a door with a turret contantly shooting in the appy room, and I couldn't leave at all because the turret would get me.

I really want to be able to knock over turrets. It’d be a really fun Portal easter egg to knock over a turrets and have it fire for a few seconds before deactivating permanently. In exchange, since you’d just do this every time, have turrets be able to damage enemies and let the bullets be blocked by their hitboxes (even after defeating them) so players have some incentive for keeping them “alive.”

You should have mentioned that blocking the turret's LoS doesn't do anything until the orange light turns off. Otherwise it continues to track you through the wall.
your videos are always very high-quality and well done though i will say the usage of ai art for your thumbnails and your pfp (i think at least) is likely somewhat of a turn off to some people had i not seen your videos prior to noting it’s usage i probably wouldn’t have bothered watching any of your vids considering the amount of effort and work displayed in the videos themselves i think the usage of a more lazy method to finish it up is just a little unfortunate do whatever you want but it’s just somethin to think about also if it’s not ai i apologize
@@carrotwizard3900 there’s a very specific style that ai art often takes their pfp of someone in a room has some very weird details, if he wasn’t live right now you could enlarge it and see odd elements that a human artist simply wouldn’t add, like a lamp(?) that looks like it’s melting a little the lighting on the astronaut helmet and it’s detailing as a whole just seems like it would be that looks like they just put in the prompt of “astronaut in orange suit in space” as a mockup of an employee
you know, it would be a cool concept if you set your voice up and spoke like Sigurd did and made a series out of it. Sigurd's Logs, and it's all about teaching the player basic stuff

Since this is a recent lethal company video, is anyone else seeing way too many thumpers at the moment? I played yesterday and there was a thumper around 10am every single day and in two maps i found two of them together. Has been a bit of a pain
but I already exploded a lot of landmines with shovels when I was noy host in v56 are you sure about what you said alter ??? and you can also hit the turret with a knife to make it firing(I think you forgot to tell that)
My little brother has such high ping that he simply sprints across the landmines to set them off and takes zero damage

A couple points to add about turrets:

You can do it without jumping, it just requires you to be 0 pounds and like 70% of your stamina

Extra info about turrets: They can't shoot through pipes, and sometimes they can't shoot through shelves (The ones in the massive apparatice room).
Land mines, turrents, and spike traps are all very deadly!

You can outrun the landime if you have enough room and an empty inventory. No jumps needed. I am always doing that

ive recently descovered that its pretty easy to just out-strafe a turret's turn speed until it loses you

Also, if you find one spike trap on Adamance, look out for another one. For some reason spike traps only spawn in pairs there.
If a Turret is terminal disabled while shooting, it will keep shooting infinitely until it's technically reactivated!! So be careful!
It would be cool if you could also make a video about pipe bursts/steam valves, breaker box/light switch and automatic doors.

Shovel and knife hits are the same in every circumstance, assuming you hit them.
