HUGE MISTAKE: Thumpers do 40 damage their first and second hit. If you are not critical health and they hit you, this will put you at 5HP and their next hit will kill you, totaling at 4 hits to kill you. NOTE: Thumpers will not be aggro’d if you hit them while in phase 1, which means it is possible to kill them without ever sending them into phase 2. What about the Bracken? The Thumper you can just matador it and leap or strafe around it as it's charging and you can get away from it, but the Bracken is always following you and has such horrifically in-depth stalking AI.

I agree it's pretty annoying to babysit, but the paranoia it creates is something I haven't felt in a game in a long time. It is pretty easy to deal with though once you understand its mechanics. I wouldn't say that closing doors on them is useless. Since they have that tiny amount of time to open that means they'll hit the door and lose all of their speed first, giving you an extra bit of time to get away or run around a corner.
I have the very same door knock sound on discord soundboard and me and my friends kept playing it until we are all immune to it, it only surprised me for the fact i thought i forgot to disconnect my call lmao

Usually don't leave comments but I appreciate how you include the monitor view. It helps to see what the enemies are doing when you're giving examples behind walls, but it also helps me learn how to tell what enemy I'm looking at on the monitor based on their walking behavior.

jesus man, the knock sound coming from specifically the RIGHT side of my headphones was perfect, as there's a windowed door on my right to my balcony and there's a tree in the distance that, when in my peripheral at night can look vaguely like a man staring at me through the window... Needless to say that knock scared the absolute shit out of me.

Hitting it with a shovel, droping a shovel on top of it will trigger it. Used stun grenades are a great way of exploding them without getting hurt.
