    FAQs??
-How many squares do I need for a baby blanket?
This can vary, it really can be however big or small you like, but i generally do 4x4 or 5x5.
This blog post might be useful: bit.ly/1UIobie
-How many chains shall I do for a *single/double/etc' blanket?
Again, this can vary. I would suggest that you do your chain and lay it down agains the bed you are wanting it for. It should be the same width. You should then ad a few more to make it a little wider.
This blog post might be useful: bit.ly/1UIobie
-How much yarn do I need?
Unfortunately, I will be able to answer individuals questions about how much yarn you would used do to multiple factors affecting it. Such as, your tension, the size of hook and the yarn being used.
    -What equipment do you use?

At different points in the past 30+ years, my grandma, my mom, and my aunt have all tried to teach me and I never picked it up. I think because they were never able to slow down as much as I needed them to. Mom and my Aunt are both amazed how much I've learned the last few weeks since I decided to try again...I only wish Grandma was still here to see how far I've come with it since her last attempts to teach me.

I feel your pain Sage. I too have tried for 40 + years to learn how to crochet but could never master it. I almost gave up but a massive thank you to Bella Coco I have managed to understand it. I wish my Mum was here so I could show her how far I've come.

3 years ago, I started learning to crochet through my grandma and my family friend, and only got the chain down, then last week, I brought my crochet to school on the last day and asked my friend to teach me, and she taught me the single stitch. And ever since then, I’ve been practicing each of the stitches through this woman’s videos and they’ve been such a big help. My mom told me that I couldn’t picked it up fast, but my grandma just wasn’t able to explain it correctly. She’s really proud of the progress I’ve done, and I hope I can make clothes really soon 😊

Bella Coco I finally finished this video series (Episode 1-5). Thank you so much your help. These videos are the best for learning crochet. ❤️♥️
But I has got a question (or more than one 😃). What is the video which you recommend next? How can I continue (the learning)? What is the next step? Thank you for your help and work.

I commented earlier in the series, and in just a few days I am feeling MUCH more confident with crochet, and way less confused. It's kind of amazing how helpful and comprehensive these videos are, and I am SO thankful they exist (because these are not the first ones I've watched, but they were the first ones to click)! I'm looking forward to starting some actual projects soon :)
Not so related to the videos, but as an American I gotta say; I think the UK terms make _way_ more sense.

I’ve never crocheted but I’ve sewed& needle pointed. I always avoided crocheting/knitting bc I thought it would be impossible. It’s definitely not always simple but not impossible. Your way of showing this simply step by step is very great for beginners, I feel like you could even charge others for lessons. You’re very talented even just w/ the simple stitches. 💕

Just finished the 5 Absolute Beginners videos and got to admit I found them really intuitive. Perfectly explained. Had a few hiccups along the way with decreasing, then increasing and then just plain unable to do the stitch but with your explanation I just undone my work and started row again. Simples. Just need to learn a slip stitch, magic loop and how to crochet through the back loop and I'm ready to go making some wildlife rescue nests. Thanks for the videos they've been very helpful.

I learned how to crochet when I was probably about 12 yrs old. I knew how to do the basic chain. The single crochet, the double crochet, the treble and double treble. I had no idea what they were called all these years. It was trial and error. I made a couple of blankets. I've recently decided to take it more seriously as I am older and crabby or so I'm told. Thought my hobby could help me calm my nerves and maybe learn how to make something other than a blanket lol. Want to make my 3 grandsons some fashionable beanies for this winter. Thanks for explaining the difference between the UK & US terminology. That does help. I enjoy the series very much and learn from it too.

Either the next stitches I should learn, or maybe there's another playlist/series that follow on from the beginner videos? I think I'm a bit stuck on where to go next, now that I've done my squares. You're a great teacher by the way, I appreciate your videos a lot!

You're welcome, I'm so glad to hear you like them! 😊 Lots of people move onto making granny squares but once you've mastered the basic stitches in the beginner series you could try your hand at any of my other videos. Some simple ones to try would be the suzette stitch, grit stitch or granny stripe 😊

🎉 A quick thank you and a question. After knitting 40+ years, I decided I wanted to learn crochet and give up knitting. But, what I didn't take into consideration was that a couple years ago , I had a brain stroke that has made learning new things a little difficult. I need to see it and do it several times for it to stick. I've tried eatching several tutorials. All good. But I learned the basics, finally from your tutorial. 🎉 Thank you. My question is can you recommend where I can learn how to control the You Tube app on TV? I need to watch the patterns in sections, so I can learn the pattern and stiches used. I've tried ett ied figuring it out on my own but that hasn't worked. Controlling it on the TV is is more difficult than on my phone. Sorry for taking your time. Love your tutorials. I just need to see patterns repe repetitively.😮

I really enjoyed this video series. I have never done crochet at all before and this broke it down in a way that was very easy to learn. I've practiced these stitches several times but now I'm a little lost on what to do next. Do I pick new stitches to learn? Do I try to make something? I would appreciate any guidance you have to offer.

Hi Sarah well done for getting to grips with the beginner tutorials. As far as moving on it really depends on how confident you are, maybe you could try some granny squares?or different stitches and just see how you get on? Keep me updated on what you have decided to do and good luck :)
