      Plenty of recovering alcoholics/addicts work as bartenders. It’s a rampant problem in our industry. The key word to success for those people is to be RECOVERING. Greg is still in his gambling addiction, so he in no way, shape or form should be near a poker table right now. Not until he has a least a year off gambling.

  • @Stop007
    @Stop007 2 года назад +139

    Greg shows duping delight in every interaction. That's a covert smirk from being pleased about tricking the person he is talking to. Pause the video to freeze his face and you can see it. In other words, every interaction is another gamble for him - will he get away with his lies or not? - that's what gives him a thrill. It's just like when he bet against Gail without the cards to back it up. This guy's brain is 100% conditioned to look for the next gamble, not to figure out a way to care for his wife and future child.
    HOWEVER. At core, he likes to WIN. That's why he excelled at the baby challenge. It was a game to him and he was willing to throw everything he had at it. If that aspect of his mind could be redirected, he could become a guy who excels at everything in his life.

    • @michelecleansup

    Gail is out of her depth with a lot of these people. Shopping addictions, cigarettes and booze, gambling - sometimes years of therapy are needed to solve these. In this case, where are clear addiction issues, she should not be in any way encouraging Karla to think that there is a quick fix for Greg. He needs years of a 12 step program and even then he is likely to relapse. I hope Karla found someone else.
